It's the second DT10 I own, the first one stopped working with a power supply unit after 1 year. Korg sent me a new one and this also worked for about 1 year and now I have the same problem again. The DT10 still works with battery power, but no chance using it with a PSU. This seem's to be a common problem...
I don't use it on gigs anymore.

I ordert the new Pitch Black Tuner that gets a fixed place on my effect board. So in Tuners Korg is the best for me, they are cheap, doesnt influence my sound, which is the most importand of all my gear, and work solid ? So ?
Nothing to add, nothing i miss !
Ok the Dt10 is a tuner in a big housing, mh ! But so I go for the PB !

It's a tuner. Plug in your guitar, push the big button in the middle, tune. Drop-Tuning and Calibration functions are also simple as can be...
Interesting addition (to make it competitive with the Boss TU-2): this thing now comes with a daisy-chain adapter...

This is the second Korg DT-10 I've owned (sold the last one when I got my Zoom G7.1ut). Bought this one because I sent the G7.1ut back and got a GT-8 instead, and I'm now fed up with the GT-8 tuner - it's inaccurate (shows perfect tune for a huge interval... unusable for intonation etc.) and slow (there's a latency of almost a second till it starts tracking.
The DT-10 is great - my last one had a bit of bleed when muted (running straight into an amp with very high gain settings would result in a bit of sound coming through even though the tuner was on and should have been completely muting the signal - irrelevant for "regular" gain levels). The new one doesn't do this at all, no matter what I do (even cascading a GT-8 OD + high gain amp sim).
So, mute is now 100%, tuning accuracy is still the great +-1cent, and the bypass is far better than a Boss buffer... no loss of highs at all. Simply awesome.

My last one was stepped on (obviously, it's a floor tuner), had beer spilt on it, the cables plugged into it were tripped over and yanked out, it was kicked around on the floor back when I didn't have a floorboard... Basically: It's metal, and it'll last. The new one looks just as solid as the old one, and it's survived my 2-meter-drop test already (might as well make sure nothing's loose while the warranty's still there)...

Never had to talk to them, so no opinion there... Although, doesn't making a product so good that there's no need for customer support amount to great customer support? ;)
As for the store I bought it from (Thomann.de) - great service as always - incredibly fast delivery, no hassles on returns and 30 days money back...

This thing is great. Fast, accurate, and looks very stylish too. The meter is WAY better than the TU2's, and I much prefer it to the new Korg Pitchblack too...
Would definitely buy again (especially at this price, got it for 69 Euros as opposed to the 85 I paid last time).
The only thing I'd change - Blue LEDs!!! I got a black one with green and red LEDs, even though the pic at the online store was with blue LEDs... but hey, I'm not gonna bother them about something as unimportant as that.

This is not True Bypass and is a very transparent buffered circuit. However, it's buffered at the proper ohmage of a typical tube amp, so your pickup tone will be passed through with virtually no coloration. I actually moved it to the first effect after my guitar because the buffer is so good that all my downstream, ultra expensive boutique True Bypass pedals need the added signal strength this passes.
Honestly, if fixed my tone problems, because if you haven't done the research, aren't an electrical engineer (I'm not), or just found out for by pricey experience (I did), more than 4 True Bypass pedals results in tone degradation. A high quality buffer right after the guitar fixes usually this, although you almost never see it when you look at pictures of professional players' massive boards. Trust me, it's typically an effect with a hidden second purpose.
I tried the Korg with various configurations, and right after the guitar is best.
My rig:
Vintage Axe > Korg DT-10 > Keeley modded Vox 847 Wah > Analogman CompRossor > PedalDoctor FX 4-speed Overdrive > Analogman Chorus > Maxon FL-9 (secondary buffer) > Keeley modded AD-9 > Retro-Sonic Analog Delay > Bogner Ecstasy 101B Amp.

It really helped improve my tone, brought it back to life actually. Sounds much closer to the guitar going direct into the amp with the Korg in the chain because of the excellent buffer system. It's definitely worth the money!
Yes, not only would I replace it, if it was stolen, but I just ordered a second one today for my non-Bogner board. When I tested it with that board, guess what? Yep, it fixed my tone there also.
For larger True Bypass boards adding a buffer directly after the Guitar is the key to retaining your guitars original tone and brightness!
The only question is reliability, so giving it an overall 9.

I was given this tuner by a friend. He was the bass player for the band "the honey trees" So I don't have any manual for it. But you don't need one! It's an easy and user-friendly tuner. The LED display is way bigger and easier to read than it's rival made by boss.

I use this thing all the time, and I mean *ALL THE TIME* I use it Church, Practice, recording, everything. It gets used just as much as my guitar. I use it as a mute switch when I am not playing so my acoustic guitar will not feedback while its sitting by a monitor or anything. (My acoustic has an attached condenser mic inside) It is muted...period. no hiss no nothing.

Take 5 minutes to look over the manual and you will have it. Without adding massive, blatantly obvious, and uselessly large text, its as simple as you can get.
Put your 'in line' into the input, your output into your output, your bypass into your bypass (if using, which I don't). To tune down flat press the 'flat' button, to calibrate to a different frequency to be in sync with a different kind of instrument, press the 'calibrate' button.
Oh yeah, and that big button in the middle that looks like an on/ off foot switch, its an on off foot switch.
The screen is nice and big and perfect for use. I set my intonation on my guitars and bass with this thing across the room!

The hidden flange effect is awesome, so is the heavy metal distortion......
Ok, only kidding. Its a tuner, it shouldnt make a noise. This is where this pedal excells! Not only is it absolutely as dead as the grave when activated (activation kills the rig so you tune in silence unless using bypass), but the overall tone of the rig is enhanced by having this baby in the line!
I have tried it with all kinds of cables, and compared to going without it, and I have decided that this tuner adds sparkle to the sound! It must have something to do with the internal buffer inside the pedal. Even my fully laiden EMG bass gets a sparkle added by putting this pedal in its signal path. That alone is an awsome feature!

Its built out of the kind of aluminium they build nuclear blast resistant doors. I am a professional industrial designer, and I can honestly say that it is well constructed for a life on the road being kicked about! Call me old fashioned, but the true bypass footswitch feels allot more sturdy and reliable than any of those moden Boss/ Digitech/ Ibanez mini switches thay they hide under the foot switches.
The whole thing feels great. Ok, im not a massive fan of the rather small and plastic buttons for 'flat' and 'calibrate', but calling them a nipple would be being generous as they as so small.

I play metal, and this pedal can lock onto my pitch perfectly with a fast response, no matter how low I go (detuning my 5 string bass works!).
I am so glad I didn't opt for the Planet Waves or Boss tuners, this one is perfect for me and I would definitely get it again.
I just love the way it is so simple, so acurate (+/- 2% more than the Fender, Boss, or planet Waves tuners!), so simple, and that it adds that sparkle to the rig. The fact that is is dead silent when activated, and allows me to mute my rig without thinking is just perfect.
There is nothing I would want to change on this tuner, it is perfect. Ok, maybe slightly smaller, but the screen is so large that im not sure that could be done, and a smaller screen is a bad idea.
This pedal has allowed me to tune so simply and fast its unbeleivable, I love it.
Final thought - Dont think, just buy it. Boss and Planet Waves tuners are useless in comparison!

I was all set to buy a Boss TU-2 and then I started reading about the Korg. As it turns out, the Korg is more accurate, easier to read, and tracks better on a bass. The TU-2 is great pedal, but the the DT-10 is even better. My only complaint is that the price (of pedal tuners in general) is a bit high. I'm puzzled by the fact that pedal tuners cost $100 and handheld tuners cost $25. The electronics are nearly identical, but they're charging you for the metal case.

Here's where this unit shines, this tuner buffers in a very nice way. I want all the pedals on my board to be true bypass except one. Used to be a tubescreamer that I did't even use a lot but I liked its buffering qualities. Boss pedals are much noisier and degrade the signal.
When not in use, this tuner even improves my sound and eliminates cable losses.

I have not tried a boss TU-2 but it has certainly a better buffer than my boss SD-1, and improved the overall sound quality and sparkle. I think that probably all boss small pedals use the same (not good) buffer circuit.

I love Andy Timmons.
if stolen, probably i get another one, maybe i'd try the planet waves too but i find more useful in my setup a pedal that has a good buffer instead a true bypass one. If you already have pedals that sucks some tone, it's a good thing to put a good buffer in front of it because they will alter much less a strong signal than your guitar's output.
i wish it had the virtual strobo mode like the boss TU-2 but is however a really cool pedal. Nice look too

I dont notice any added noise what so ever out of this unit, I own the dt-10bk,,the black one and dont know if there is any difference than the silver,,,anyways I run it first in my effects loop of my boogie rectoverb then into an EQ,chorus, delay, reverb. I wasnt sure about putting it right before the EQ because if it did create any noise the EQ would deffinatly boost it. No problem with noise what so ever. All these effects are powered by my visual sound 1 spot.
Like I said it offers many different tunings but I only use the default standard. I found the lights on the tuner to very bright, you would have no problem seeing this pedal on a dark stage. Uh, you plug in and step on the button, and you can tune your guitar. There are some other features you can play with such as different tuning modes, but it comes with a manual. You can also use it as a power source for your other pedals, and it comes with a 3 spot daisy chain. I haven't tried it out yet. What's really great about it, though, is how easy it is to see. If the lights are out, it will light up the room.

Some people claim it's not true-bypass and that it drains their sound...I haven't noticed, and even if it does, no one will notice in a live setting.
A big advantage to this tuner is Korg claims it to be accurate within +-1 cent. Everyone seems to buy the Boss TU-2, which can be off as much as 3 cents. The human ear hears in 2 cent increments. Therefore, the TU-2 is inadequate. Where people justify buy the TU-2 is the reliability...

The only other thing in comparison is the Boss TU-2, which is less accurate. The display is way easier to read on the DT-10, plus it comes with a daisy chain and can power your other pedals. For me, it came down to a comparison between the two, and the Korg is obviously superior. Plus, I have the black model, which is 100 bucks. You can get the silver model at American Musical Supply for 90, which is ten bucks cheaper than the TU-2. Why did I get the black model, you ask? Because it has blue LEDs, which look really cool.

I called KORG and got some guy with a heavy New Joisy accent. He sympathized and checked to see if the part was available. It turned out that not one single part was available. In other words, KORG builds these as cheap throw-away units. How many more cents would it have cost them to use a better quality switch? Hey, live and learn. I won't be buying anything else from KORG.Maybe I'll send it back-- give them the pleasure of throwing it in the local landfill. This seems incredibly irresponsible from an environmental standpoint. But then again, we're deep in the reign of King George the 2nd. and so we can't expect environmental factors to count for much!

I won't bore everyone, but I've been playing about 12 years. Gear includes:
Amps: Fender Super Reverb, Fender SuperSonic 60W combo, Marshall JCM60,
Guitars: Tele Deluxe reissue, Custom made (by me) Tele, Jazzmaster, Jay Turser JT-200 (bought it as my "beat the crap out of it" guitar), but it has surprised me!..and I also just purchased a Melody Maker.
FX: (not in order) Korg DT-10, Ibanez TS-808, Boss PSM-5 (power supply/loop), Boss TR-2, MXR PHASE 100, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, Maxon CS-9, Guyatone ST2 Compressor, Ernie Ball volume, Behringer V-Amp 2 (not a bad little bedroom practice gadget!)
My previous tuner was the Boss TU-2, because it was the only game in town. It started to crap out on me at the same time I saw the Korg DT-10 so I gave away my Boss to my bandmate and bought the Korg on a whim. I am very pleased with it...I like it a lot better than the boss...it's easier to read with the large LED and I may be wrong, but I think it's more accurate for a stompbox tuner. I was going to send this back if I didn't like it and just buy a new TU-2, but It's a keeper. Also, doesn't seem to suck batteries like the boss either. Only complaint (and it's not really a complaint), but it would rock if it came with the ac power adapter standard....but it's rare for that to happen these days.

This review is for the recently upgraded black model of the DT-10 (now officially called the DT-10BK). This would be pretty difficult to use if you were blind or had no knowledge of the electric guitar. It has awesomely bright blue and white lighting with a huge red LED that lets you know what key you're in. The tuner can get confused if you try to change strings too rapidly, but this lag is very minute and forgettable. The manual is helpful if you want to mess with the semitone/flat tuning calibrations. I don't. I wish they would've specified some of the differences from the previous silver DT-10 other than color, though. I haven't used the silver DT-10 but I'm guessing that this is probably the exact same thing.

The only thing I have to say against this pedal is that Korg tried to answer some of the complaints about the lack of 9v power out ability (like the Boss TU-2 has) by including a five-way daisy chain adapter and charging $10 more, which seems like a lame cop-out. Once upon a time the primary appeal of the DT-10 was that it was considered to be at least as good as the Boss TU-2, but cost $10 less. Since that's no longer true, I guess you'll just have to flip a coin or something. I decided to go with it anyway just because in my town everyone uses a TU-2 because everyone else uses a TU-2, and I thought that seemed silly. I'm actually not that huge a fan of Boss pedals in general so I just wanted something different and functional, and the DT-10 fits that bill.

Been playing bass and acoustic guitar for about 6 years. Currently playing bass in a rock band doing covers and alternative/hard rock originals. Needed a pedal tuner that was reliable and accurate. I like its sleek apperance and ease of use. Only thing I wish it had was a DC-9v Out, so you could have the ability to power other 9v pedals from it. I also purchased the adapter with it since I hate dealing with batteries. I compared it with the Boss TU-2(mixed reviews, heard it didnt work as well with bass), Peterson Strobostomp(great reviews but too expensive), and the Sabine NEX5000(had a true bypass feature, but a few lousy reviews regrading durability).
Overall the DT-10 is a great pedal tuner at a decent price.

If you have been hooked on analog needle display tuners, and do not like the typical "jumpy" digital motion LED tuners, consider this one. Why? This thing has the best of both worlds, digital accuracy with analog movement. Very bright display that can be read outdoors in sunlight. This this is built to last.

I do not use any pedals as my style for the past 35 years has been chord melody jazz. I've have tried my D'Angelico EXL-1, Gibson ES-165, Gibson Super 400, Ibanez George Benson, and Ibanez AF-120 archtop through this tuner. It's clean. This pedal has a VERY transparent buffer amp inside of it that does not alter your tone. I was worried about adding a pedal between the guitar and the amp, this thing is super clean and does not effect clean tone. Love it!!! The mute option and bypass options are fantastic. This tuner also has a great drop tuning feature for a bunch of drop tuning settings. I bought the 9V adapter and leave everything plugged-in without worrying about battery drain. Why mess with a 9V battery at $4.95 a piece? After two or three batterys, you would come out ahead dollar wise with the adapter at $12.95. You guys with the pedal boards know what I mean. Get the 9V adapter, it's worth the money.
I benchmarked a bunch of floor tuners. I tried the Boss TU-2, Fender PT100, Peterson StroboStomp, Arion HU-8500, Danelectro DJ-11. The Korg DT-10 had the most features, the best meter movement, was the easiest to read, the most durable, and also looked like a state-of-the-art piece of equipment.

On of the best build pedals I've ever seen. A thick casted aluminum housing makes it smash proof. This thing has a nice high tech surgical look. Nice eye candy while you play. Love it! If something happened to this thing, I would be another in a heartbeat.

I have been playing archtops for 35 years. This is the 9th tuner I have owned over the years. It is hands-down the best I have owned so far. My other tuners have either been dropped, switches quit working, battery door falls off, stolen, or backlit display goes dim. I think Korg got this right. I must say, the "analog-like" motion of the LED's really sold me. The other floor tuners I mentioned did not have this extra behavior. Also, and the metal ousing contruction seemed bullet proof. I bought it through Musicians Friend online. They matched Sam Ash's special that week at $79 and threw in free shipping since I bought the adapter.

Easy to set up. Instead of having mine in the effects chain i have it set up through my direct out on my deluxe memory man. The manual is pretty straightforward stating everything clearly.
I was really impressed with the led display. Instead of just flashing in 'christmas tree' fashion up and down like some cheap auto tuners do the leds fade form dim to bright as it registers the note. It makes the tracking motion really smooth and made tuning a doddle. It doesn't do that jumping around thing.

I've rigged mine up like so -
Guitar > Crybaby 535q > Vintage Deluxe Memory man > Boss BD-2 > Vintage Big Muff > Graphic EQ
As i said before i use the direct out on the memory simply cos its easier to do so on my particular pedalboard arrangement. I tried it in the effects chain and i couldn't hear any obvious 'tone sucking'.

This casing is built like a tank. Definitely roadworthy. The footswtich looks like 3PDT but isn't, it's a just a normal circuit switch with no click like a boss pedal. It seems pretty strong but i kinda miss a click sound as all the other pedals i use except for the boss bd-2 has this. This probably won't bother most people though. I'd have to give this a 10, cos the casing is just too good.

Initially i was quite reluctant to spend money on something like a tuner pedal, i would rather have spent it other things but when you are trying to tune at band practice and gigs asking every one to be quiet while you tune by ear is a bit much. Now that i've got it i think it was a decent purchase and made life alot easier.
The construction is excellent, it looks great without being too flash, it has simple functional look to it. I looked at the boss tu-2 before deciding on this apparently it has slightly better tracking. It is slightly cheaper and in my opinion looks better than the boss, although it would be nice to test thme side by side, i think i made the right choice.

Very easy to use. Easy to see LARGE display. I use this with bass and it tracks great. You can hook it up so that it mutes your signal to the amp while tuning. I replaced a Boss TU-2 with the Korg. I found the Boss didn't track as well with bass.

No effect on tone noticeable. I believe the bypass switch is true bypass. There are two outputs. One mutes the signal when tuner is switched on and the other doesn't. There is flat modes for variety of flat tunings. Then again you can just tune chromaticly to what ever tuning you want in standard mode. The calibration botton allows you to use something other then standard 440.

Very good guitar pedal tuner. It makes tuning up much quicker because its so easy to read, tracks very well, and is accurate. It's a great addition to my pedal board. It's comforting knowing i can check my tuning at any time in a flash.
I did look at and have used other pedal tuners like the boss tu 2, fender pedal tuner, but liked the larger display and true bypass on this pedal. The boss tu-2 display wasn't bad and is a good pedal too. I could have got it cheaper online but great pedal regardless.

I can't hear any difference.
I play an old (japanese) ibanez with EMG-pickups through a Fender HotRod so I'm used to a very silent (noise-free) set-up. The DT-10 doesn't add any noise or colouring whatsoever, even on the overdrive channel. It doesn't change the volume either and it's well able to handle the rather high sound-level my guitar tends to emit.

It looks sturdy & well-made. I bought a marshall effect (ED-1) at the same time and you can really see how much better the DT-10 is designed. It sits nice & sturdy on my slightly uneven floor, the switch is big enough & well-positioned, the displays are sunk about 3mm into the pedal so you can't scratch 'm with yout feet.

A bass-player friend of mine has a Korg rack-mount tuner in his setup. Before buying my own stage tuner, I'd plug into his setup and just loved how easy it was to use, how great the display was. Well, the DT-10 seems like a "mini-me" of the rack-mount units, with a smooth sweep of the LED's as you come into tune. I love it. I know, it's probably not the same exact circuit as in the rack-mount units, but the point is, from the user perspective, it seems to work just like a downsized rack-unit.
There are to things I would like to see improved. 1) Provide and additional AC adaptor plug (as on the Boss TU-2 and Sabine NEXFX) which can be used to power othe pedals. 2) The heavy-duty-looking footswitch button works fine, but does not give a nice big tactile "click" when activated.
Overall, I love this pedal and would definitely replace it with another one if it were lost or stolen.

If you need a tuner check this out. Its not particularly cheap, but it is incredibly easy to use. Picks up the "note" and displays it clearly and accurately. The led "meter" is more analogue than digital in that the centre led glows bright and the ones either side fade up and down as the centre spot "swings". It can be set to a variety of pitch references and has a button on the back for easy detuning (down in semitones) to detune a tone just set it to "2" and tune as normal. Its fully chromatic, so it displays the note "character" for all notes. It tunes any guitar with a pickup including basses. I got "sold up" to this when I went into the shop for a standard little tuner - one of the best purchases I have made.

Thanks to it's buffer amp, the sound is actually freshened up (= altered). I myself think it's pretty neat, but I would understand those who prefer the Sabine Tuner for it's hardwire bypass. The tuner is not as "colourful" as the boss pendant but more accurate and slightly quicker.
