It really is easy to use. I emailed them for a little help with hooking up my pedalboard and the response was prompt and simple.

This is what I have been waiting for a long time. Totally transparent. I have used switchers from whirwind, morely and some others and they all had something that kept them from being great. Maybe too noisy, maybe it took something out of my sound. Not this pedal.

No doubt built like a tank. I've never been afraid to step on this pedal and I step on it more than any other pedal.

Everytime I email them, I got a quick accurate response. I actually called and talked to Burkhard Lehle. Though I wouldn't recommend calling Germany, but I can speak German and it was more for my own ego I guess.

I'm 35 now and have played for just about 25 years now. I spent the 90's playing in a band that was signed to columbia and have played many gigs. Where was this thing then? It is just awesome. I meanit's simple. It's a switcher, but it doesn't color your sound at all and the actual stepping of the buttons is silent. Everything you could ask for. Plus with this model I run my guitar into 2 amps and use my pedal board (analog) as an effects loop. Totally Transparent.

I play a strat and a LP and have 2 amps: a marshall jcm 800 combo (for dirty) and a fender pro junior (for clean), so i needed a good AB switcher. i'm glad I picked the lehle instead of a boss line selector or whatever. because this is a rocksolid pedal with no irritating hum, great led's and it does justice to your original rig tone. and that's all I really want from a pedal like this.

like I said rocksolid, and would defenitly use it without back up.

Operating a switcher is not exactly rocket science.....

I use it to switch between a Mesa Blue Angel and a Mesa Mark III amp and for switching an entire effect chain in and out of the Blue Angel. No noise at all. Comparing the sound between use of the 1@3 and plugging directly into the amp is not quite fair as this is comparing a one cable connection to a two cable connection. Should somebody observe signal quality loss in such a comparison, then IMHO this may be related mor to the increased cable length than to the switcher!

Even if you want to, you will have a hard time to find a non-fitting power supply, as the 1@3 accepts a wide range of voltages and any polarity. Great, this way it just can be integrated in your pedal board without any problem! Great stomp switches, super bright LEDs, great quality connections.
I am only infrequently gigging at the moment, but the 1@3 gives a extremely reliable feeling, I would not be afraid of depending on it.

Simple. It can't get much easier than this, it's just a switcher.

Let me put it this way; Morley's boxes, Whirlwind, and all the other mediocore companies that make these simple boxes either create noise or the actual stepping on the switch creates a noise or pop. When I heard about this guy from Germany and his boxes, I checked them out. This switcher is truly transparent. It DOES NOT effect my tone in any way. The actual switching is completely silent and I use a high gain amp.

It really is a simple concept, switch between multiple amps or tuners and effects. This is the dude who got it right. It is the most expensive out there, but this is one of those cases where you truly get what you paid for. Personally I run this pedal into my:
A. Tuner, B. Amp, C. Pedals. If your confused, this pedal lets you run your effects pedals in a loop. So I can either run my guitar straight into my amp or kick on C and put my pedals in front of the amp. Simple, but genius. It makes you wonder why it's 2005 and finally somebody perfected this simple idea.

I've been a little confused as some of the other reviewers are using their 1@3's as amp switchers and I use mine to switch between channels on the same amp. I employ a Lehle Dual as an amp switcher. Anyway, just dead perfect. I won't say no loss, as that is not possible, but it comes closer than anything I've yet tried.

This is the box that got me into Lehle (I now own the 1@3 and their Dual box). Beautiful devices that do exactly what they are intended to do. I will probably buy a 3@1 instrument switcher at some point. What a great company. They make 3 products and they are all perfect for their intended use. Nice work!

ABC box with option of using C as an effects loop on output B. To give out A to one amp, out B to another and C introduces pedal effects to the signal chain routed to amp B. Manual was in German, but English available on the web. Pretty much idiot proof.

I am currently using this with a tuner on out A for silent tuning, I also hit this to change guitars mid set as a mute, out B goes to whatever amp I am using, usually a Laney GH100L. Button C is configured as an effects loop with a Dynacomp, H&K Tubefactor and wah.
Good sound quality, it does thin out the low mids a little, but use high quality leads to minimise this. Amp reacts the same, as it is high impedance out, the same as your guitar. Any slight signal degradation is a vast improvement on having pedals in the signal chain. After all nothing between your guitar and amp is 100% true bypass.

Built like a tank. It's on a PCB but who cares? It?s thick and well supported, only badly designed PCB's tend to give trouble. It's German, no backup required.

If you need a way to switch between amps, or bypass pedal FX, this is the kit for the job. I'm going to add a Lehle Dual at some point to switch and blend two amps. A bargain for the quality you get, a Boss box of chips is only #25 cheaper and I wouldn't let one of those anywhere near my rig.

Basically just an ABC box without with no semiconductors or whatever in the signal chain. Has three footswitches for A, B and C. You can use the C output as input for B, which enables you to use this box as a true by-pass box for an effect on one channel. Accepts any power supply between 8 and 20V (AC or DC!). Can be connected with other LEHLE boxes for remote switching. Super bright LED indicators.

The signal can hardly be switched and routed any cleaner than with this box. It is built with the same considerations as to why you would want to use true bypass with effect pedals. The switching mechanism is constructed so that erosion, fouling and corrosion of the relais is minimal (sealed, goldplated). The footswitch is just a spring and a metal bar which pushes the relais switch lever inside the box (mechanically de-coupled). You can stomp as hard as you like and jump on it like Super Mario without any damage.
I use it to switch between amps during gigs. You can bring along three of your favorite amps and choose any for the right tone for each song or passage. Just what I needed, simple and top-quality. It does not introduce noise (it can't!) or hum and does not 'pop' audibly when switching (as if that would matter during live gigs. Get real guys..). It reacts ultra fast.

Extremely sturdy build, industrial quality housing. Constructed to show no wear after long and heavy use (footswitches included). Very well thought-through box. The exterior is a step up in quality from regular boutique construction methods (which are great too). The PCB and the relais still have to prove their reliability. So far no problems while 'on the road'.

This is by far the best switcher I've ever used, and I've tried them all. As a touring professional, I can't say enough good things about this unit. Switching between A, B or C is as simple as it gets. It also has 3 very bright LED's so that I can see what's on even under the spotlights. Appears to be built like a tank, just check out the video at the lehle site: www.lehle.com. and you'll see what I mean. It's very versatile in that it accepts any power adapter between 8 to 20 volts either positive or negative polarity. Boy, these guys thought of everything!

I needed an A/B/C box for use with switching channels on my Bad Cat Black Cat 30R head. I had tried the Framptone, Roger Mayer Crossroads, as well as everything else under the sun, and this is the only one that eliminated hum and signal loss (unlike the others). Very quiet when switching (no pops, clicks, etc) and does not color the tone at all. One thing that sets it apart from all the other supposedly transparent units is that it's the only one that is totally passive. When playing in clean mode, it's not such a big deal, but when in crunch/distorted mode (such as channel 2 of the Bad Cat), you lose the great crunchy tone you bought the amp for in the first place; it's just too fuzzy. The change in impedance (from high to low) that an active switcher box causes is responsible for this. The Lehle is the only switcher that maintains that unique interaction between guitar and amp, as if there is only a high quality cable in between.

As mentioned earlier, check out the video on the Lehle site. That will answer the reliability issue. Mine has held up to constant abuse on the road for the last eight months.

I'm thrilled at having finally found a switcher box that doesn't mess with my tone. I'm planning on getting a Dual now for switching between the Bad Cat and a newly acquired Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier.

I purchased the product online... The product came dead on arrival.
Two of the three switches were jammed. If you pressed it down it would not return to the up position. I called the distributor and described the problem... he said, "Sh!t, not another one." Went on to tell me that lehle had problems with manufacturing a batch of switches. I returned the switch for a refund and I'm waiting for a new shipment to see if they've fixed the manufacturing problem.
