There is no problem with it. With the User manual and a bit time you
can handle it.

Everytime we must take a relation to the price, and for the used-price
today it is very great!
Surely the best reverb. Better than all others units (..tc a.s.o)
It sounds more warm as the newer pcm lines.
Ok, the pcm's are all not so lush, dense and full of suggestion like a Lex 300 or 480/960 L, but it's the best lex pcm in my opinion.
The best "second reverb" if you have a main reverb like a Lex 300.
My measure:
1) 480/960 L
2) Lex 300
3) pcm 70
4) pcm 80,81,90,91, tc 5000,6000
5) Lex mpx-1, tc 3000
6) all lxp, mpx...

Its not realy easy to work with. And the manuel is so, so. But to be honest I learned Midi through this unit...oh man! The small window and knob make it hard to figure where you are. The best is to refere to a diagram/graphic. I still dont understand some spec in the midi section.

Wonderfull.
I used it in many ways. In a effect loop of a Marshall or Buddha or now in the parallele loop of my Diezel. Its great but you must still think about parallele approch. In a serial loop approch, I remark that the sounds is noiseless but it cut to much punch and volume. You are subordonate to the input volume and it hold back the aggressivity and cutting. I used an other amp (50/50) and 2 speackers for my effect and, wow, I have a perfect control on all, let plug a volume pedal on it!!! I dont like some pre-organised sound that you cant divised. By exemple, some delay will be combine to one reverb only, so its not full free using. By parallele approch, you are also free of that sad decay when you changing patch. Not free but at least, it doesn't affect your dry. But I think that this bright sparkles is proper to the unit and there enough classic who shapped them particular's sound around the unit, to admit him in the All of Fame's rank!

Never got trouble with it. I took care of it but I used It in a horse show circumstance and I'm still having nightmare where i'm blowind dust and minuscule sand's parts in the air. I was paranoid about my gear. Some pedals switchs stop working but nothing happened to the PCM. But please still be carefully! You still can lose a front panel square bottom...

I love it. I changed all my kit most than one time since I own it, but the Lexicon always stay in the rack. Its cheaper than the PCM 80 and better than PCM 60 because of his Midi compatibility.
Very clean.

Easy is not a word i would use to describe the PCM 70 but it is far from impossible to understand how to operate it. THE MANUAL is well written (maybe a little boring, but otherwise just fine) and fairly easy to understand. A good thing for other manufacturers to follow up on is the Two-Minute Tutorial that is included with the unit. Editing patches on the PCM 70 is a fairly simple operation to do, that is if you bothered to read THE MANUAL(something most of us guitarists are very bad at), otherwise i'm convinced that a trip to hell would be more pleasant. Becasue you'll be faced with a myriad of menus and parameters. But once again a quick look in THE MANUAL will cure your problems. I bought my unit used for a fairly good price about three years ago and i'm vey happy with it. I don't know where the unit came from exactly but i think that came from a semi-large studio complex somewhere in Stockholm. It's Version no. is 2.01 and it hasn't been upgraded as far as i know. The rating for the unit is an average since i'd give it two different ratings one a 3 if you have not read THE MANUAL and one a 9 if you did bother to take a look in it.

Noise doesn't seem to exist in the vocabulary at Lexicon and every effect is clean and beautiful. Iuse this unit for one thing and one thing only so that is what i'll discuss the REVERB. The reverb in the unit is what set the standard for pro reverb processors when it came out eleven (11) years ago. This is the unit that every studio worth it's name has had in their effects rack. It doesn't seem to make any differance what type of reverb you want this unit can do it. I use a lot of different reverbs and no mtter how i tweek the unit they always sound great (and it's not all my credit belive me). If you are a fan of good reverbs in the genre of say mid 80's Michael Landau and Steve Lukather you are going to love this processor. The freq. Response is 20 Hz to 15 kHz for the processed signal, 20 Hz to 20 kHz for the direct signal and the dyn. Range is 80 dB.

I would buy this unit again any time if it wasn't for one puny detail. The ca. 0.4 second delay between program changes. I don't know if it is only me but that split second of silence really bugs me a lot and it is some thing that i really dislike about the unit. this flaw is nothing the audience will notice but it sure is annoying to me. I would lie if i told you that it is all bad because of this tiny thing and it is true that everything that i get out of it sounds like a dream come true. As i've already told you it is a truly great processor so i strongly suggest that you check it out before you buy anything else. In this category it gets nine (9) because of it's great sounding reverbs.
