Ease of Use : 8
It is quiet easy to use. My time recently has been limited so I haven't had a chance to edit any of the patches. I read the manual and it seems pretty comprehensive.

Sound Quality : 9
Quiet. Although really easy to over load, even adjusting aux and input. I wouldn't use this unit on a lead vocal, but on guitars it is good. But by far the gates in there whork excellent for snares. The auto tempo can be useful if for creating some bizarre delayed things.

Reliability : 10
It appears to be very reliable. Lexicon has that reputation anyway and I wouldn't expect anything less from them even for there lower end units.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't needed it yet.

Overall Rating : 8
Disappointed that there was no on/off switch, +4 dBv, or TRS I/O's. The reverbs were very warm. Compared to the two other units it tries (Yamaha's REV500 and Alesis Q2). They were steril sounding.

Really easy to use. Presets are excellent, and there are so many of them, you may find your self editing only one or two parameters like delay time or decay time -which is dirt simple. Effects seem to take a second to be active once selected, but who cares. Advanced programming seems a little awkward, but most boxes don't even give you the option.

Sound Quality : 10
The best thing about this unit is that there is no noise to speak of. Reverbs are excellent - true stereo. The guy I bought this from (who just bought a PCM 80) said "with OK units the reverb might get in the way, with top notch effects it sits back, and with the PCM80 you aren't even aware that the sound is processed." I'd say the Reflex is top notch so to speak. Delays are excellent as well, but most people will inevitably use this for their primary reverb. Resonator rules.

Reliability : 9
Seems perfect, only owned it for a month though

I hear they're great.

I wanted to buy another used one, but they seem to be in high demand. Besides, who's selling one of their best boxes anyway? the reflex makes my recordings sound that much more professional. For the price, I don't understand why people seem to buy the ALEX, I just bought it for a delay processor - which is great because it's just as quiet as the REflex, but I would have preferred to get another Reflex seeing as the Alex isn't true stereo, and has less features all around. In comparison to the Roland SRV2000, and the Quadraverb, every one I talked to agreed that the Reflex was superior.

You can get good sound out this unit by using presets. Few main parameters are easy to access but if one want's to toggle rest of the parameters it is complicated and requires the manual. Nobody can remember which parameter was which without it.
With the manual programming Reflex is possible but not very easy. With manual and with good MIDI-controller (or a computer running a shareware program called Reflexx) programming and setting up patches can almost be fun.
Seeing the values of knobs in the dark is impossible without a flaslamp.

Sound Quality : 9
Sound quality is good. Very quiet even though with enough gain one will get some steady hiss out of it. Setting the input and output levels to optimum makes it possible to get almost enough S/N for serious CD-quality work.
Reverbs are absolutely great. Definitely Lexicon quality. There's a natural warmth and randominess with the reverbs. Makes other cheap reverb units sound really bad :)
Resonator is useful sometimes and well done, but I don't like the flanger. I just can't get heavy enough flange no matter how I set the parameters.
I haven't used rest of the effects enough to give opinion on them...

Reliability : 9
No problems so far. Sometimes after power up it feels that the machine is taking too long to boot up, but that must just be my imagination... I'd trust this machine to handle the job even under heavy conditions. Operating systems seems to be reliable.

I'll pass this one. Have no experience.

Overall Rating : 9
Good effect - shame it isn't a multieffect. Wish I'd have a second unit to use as chorus...
I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for good reverb for decent prize.

Not the easiest for the novice rack user, but easier than, say, the TSR-24 (or any other mid-to-high digitech).
Editing patches is limited, but easily enough to create sounds far different from what they originated from. Cocteau Twins are reachable with a good mixing system (seperate matter altogether).
Manual is absolute tops, except the midi stuff would be HARD for a beginner.

Sound Quality : 10
No noise at all. This is not indicative of anything, as you can find dogs from every manufacturer, to my experience.
Effects depend on your level of MIX knob.
ALL effects are of the highest quality. Reverb alogorythms are from the PCM 70, just not so tweakable. Dig that 'BIG CHURCH' for Zoviet France background drones.

So far so good. Never used in a gig.

Customer Support : 10
Friendly and knowledgable. YMMV.

Overall Rating : 10
Without question, the best bang for the buck winner. Shame your friends! If you have a good mixing system, or it's the only rack in an effects loop, you will have the best of all possible worlds between $/value.
Remember to invest in some good oxygen-free cables! These things could make Pignoses sound good.
