Ease of Use : 7
It little difficult to configure with a PC. The Lexpanel software is a bit "backwards" and not too intuitive

Sound Quality : 10
Absolutely mind boggling. The quality of sound that comes form the Core 32 is top flight, grade A professional. Extremely low noise floor (<100 dB) big sound, clean sound, loads of head room. And the reverbs from the PC90 daughterboard are as good as it gets. Identical in sound quality to the PCM91 digital reverb. I can't say enough good about the sound quality. I would rank it 11 on a scale of 10.

Reliability : 9
Yes...but. And like Bertha this is a big butt. It takes alot of effort to get this system configured with vSt on a pc. It's very cranky and does not share IRQ with ANY device. It must be on it's own resources. But once configured it is very stable and workable. I just produced an entire CD rpoject with out any glitches. The drivers could be better but I doubt Lexicon will update since they've dropped their desktops products completely.

Customer Support : 10
Actually Tech support is quite good and helpful. They just aren't updating the drivers anymore so you're stuck with Win 98.

Overall Rating : 10
For the money this is one of the best buys I've ever made. The Lexicon Core 32 with PCM90 reverb has beyond excellent audio quality. The reverbs are world class. But then what else would you expect from the "DeFacto" standard in reverb technology. Even if you didn't want the Core32/PCM90 for an audio interface it would be a great buy as a stand alone reverb. Because for $500 you get $5000 worth of reverb. This thing has two (2) PCM91 quality reverbs and excellent I/O options. If you don't know PCM91 goes for ~$2500. Like I said the Core has 2 of 'em. AWESOME! So with a cheap older Pentium for a couple hundred and this audio hardware I've got a lot of dedicated outboard reverb.

But personally I use it as my main audio interface for vSt. It works well and has incomparable sound quality.
