I've owned this dog for a year, and I still have only been able to glean about two good sounds out of it. The knobs get too out there with the changes to each setting. Just too much to deal with. Editing is a bitch with this this.

Thin, tinny and digital. It sounds awful with analog distortion, fuzz, and overdrive. I imagine the guys at Line 6 really thought they had a decent product, but it just plain sucks. Case in point: I ended up buying a set of Dano minis (Rocky Road, Tuna Melt, and Univibe clone) and all sound ten times better than this piece. The only useable patches are the tremolos on it. Very disappointing.

It worked fine until the switches started falling out of the socket. Just try to get them in again! It's IMPOSSIBLE! The way these things are engineered is dispicable. Now I'm stuck with a half-working, gigantic monster that nobody wants to buy used.

Don't buy it!!!! It just doesn't do what the makers say it does. The patches are digital and it's blatantly obvious. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Pretty straight foward to get some sounds right out of the box. Tweeking them takes more of an effort.

The sound quality for the chorus is very good. The flanger is fine is you want a ambient sound, but I found it very hard to get loud swoosh flanger sound. The tremelos are very usable, the rotary sounds very average and the synth thing complete usless. I'm using it in mono with a fender hotrod deville.

I've used the line 6 DL4 for 4 or 5 years without problems. I've never had a problem with a line 6 product.

I play in rock band playing chart covers, so I need to be able to use the effects in modern songs. The 4 in 1 option keeps the amount of pedals on my board down to a miniumum, okay I could get better sounds using dedicated pedals, but then I'd become more of a tap dance than I already am.

well it's no "take out the box, plug in, and create some fuckin A sounds" kinda pedal. you're gonna have to sit down with this one...
i editing patches...are a bit weird - there's a tweek and a tweez...at first i was like what the hell...because i didn't have a manual - i bought it off a friend.

sounds quality...is..mmm blah. you can get some good sounds out of it. but what i noticed is that when you turn to different effects either the volume goes up...or it goes down. and i dont like that. i use this pulsating tremelo effect on there - like that's the only effect i use...and it doesn't do much to my tone. the phaser is alright - the modulation is shite - pretty much everything but that phaser and tremelo effect i use is useless...to me.

well i've been hearing that these things tend to break down on everyone. but i kinda have this thing where - a pedal will be good if you take care of it, ya know? i've had mine OVER a year - and bought off of someone ELSE who's used it for quiet awhile - and it's work gracefully - besides the sound quirks.
it's kinda heavy - well it adds some weight to my already heavy pedal board.
