Ease of Use
:

Ease of getting good sound? It varies based on your familiarity with the controls and of course, your ear. You can definately get some nice sounds, but also so real crap (subjective crap I guess). Line 6 is notorious for packing in way too much functionality into their products, which often times makes them so complex and dificult to use that they can be unusable to their potential. This pedal is reasonably straight forward and relatively pretty simple to operate.

My number one issue with this pedal, is that it is entirely too noisey. Engaged, or in bypass, there is a constant pulsating processing hum that will not go away. Sadly, it worsens with volume. For this reason, and this reason alone, I returned the pedal and have now sworn off Line 6 products. I've used Every POD Product they make and many pedals, and they all have too much digital processing noise for my taste. If it werent for the annoying noise, I think I would like this pedal from strictly a sound perspective.

I only used if for around four hours and absolutely could not get past the annoying noise. It made it through the four hours with no break downs though. It does look to be built very well and rugged. They did include a relatively slick method for accessing the battery from the top side.

I simply could not get past the noise to get far enough to really explore the pedal long term. I have a pretty simple setup, a Trusty US 62 RI Strat running into a Stock Vox 847 Wah, into an Ibanez AD9 Delay, then into a Ibanez Tubescreamer driving a Genz Benz Black Pearl 30, 2x12 combo. Nothing too fancy, but this pedal does not fit in with this setup due to the noise. When I first pluggesd the pedal in, I thought it was picking up noise from a cooling fan or something, it was so prominate.
