Real quiet as it should be.
I mostly use an original 62 Fender Strat and a couple of Warmoth Strats; #1 has a chambered korina body with 2 Harmonic design VP-90's, JB hum at the Bridge, L.R.Baggs X-Bridge for acoustic sounds. #2, Alder body capped with quilted maple, Hot Noiseless pickups (has the same hardware as the Jeff Beck model). Peavey Classic 50, Avatar 2X12 cab. The fx are listed below.

This unit is great looking and a workhorse. I've been pounding this box for about 4 years straight, 2 to 3 nights a week at gigs or local jam nights without a backup, not counting the joyful hours I step on it at home. I just love it when things keep working.

David is a gentleman. I, on the other hand, am quite anal and David managed to answer my emails informatively and in a graceful supportive manner. It's like this, if I'm indecisive about 2 great products that I want to purchase but one seller is a butthead, I buy from the one who has better customer etiquette.

I play and love the heck out of Blues-jazz/Rock and now I'm in a Prog-Rock band, go figure.
I've been playing 35+ years. Other gear I own is- E.B. Volume pedal, Teese RMC 2 wha, Keeley DS-1 S.E.M, Analogman SD-1/808 mod and the King of Tone, Hot Cake, BJE Baby Blue, Fulldrive 10th aniversary, DLS Chorus~Vib, and a Boss DD-3. The 2 Loooper organizes my pedal set up so that my degenerating mind doesn't get to0 c0nfused.
I went to David's site to order an upgraded 3 looper with a master switch and saw that he'll not be building any units for a while. Dang! Good thoughts your way David.

Easy to reach and friendly. The website is very informative, and goes out of its way to clarify any misconceptions, to the point of humility, about as straight-forward and honest as it gets.
It took a while to get mine but received unprompted and curtious emails on my Loooper order status. Great service.

I use it all the time and would get another, and another, and...
FYI, I got mine with a custom wet/dry switch and knob in one of the looops. I realized this doesn't work as well as I thought after some experimenting, because it's passive. In theory I should've realized this from the start, so no fault to the device or maker, and plus it's still a nice extra for some applications, no regrets. The fact that you can kill the knob with the switch means that it doesn't detract from the standard loop function at all.
Great product.

The only variables are the ones you request, so the complexity is completely up to you! Mine is a custom 2 Loooper (which means two separate loops combined into one stomp box) with a Stutter switch on Loop 1 and a feedback pot on Loop 2. It is way sweet.

I'm currently using my 2 Loooper with an all-stock Gibson L6-S or an Electra "Electric Oak" SG copy loaded with Harmonic Design Z-90s through an Ampeg VL-502 and a 2x12 cab. Other pedals on the board include an MXR Micro-Amp, Fulltone Obsessive Compulsive Drive, Everman Fuzz-Drive, Fulltone Supa-Trem, Boss DD-6 with Analogman Hi-Cut Mod, Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, some old Arion bucket-brigade delay and the mighty green Sovtek Big Muff Pi.
The whole point of the Loooper is to remove non-true-bypass pedals from your chain until you need them and/or group pedals for instant-on/off control of effects combinations. The Loooper adds no noise, sound or color of its own. By allowing me to remove my non-true-bypass Big Muff and a couple of delay pedals from my chain, the 2 Loooper has significantly improved the quality and strength of the signal from the guitar to the amp. I had given up on the Big Muff entirely before I decided to give the Loooper a chance; it's so great to have that weapon back in my arsenal without having to sacrifice tone across my entire chain.
The custom options available can really make these pedals special. The feedback pot allows you to pit your pedals against one another with somewhat unpredictable results. The spring-loaded Stutter footswitch lets you turn on any combination of loops and then bleed them into your dry sound for effect passages or in stacatto patterns. Do yourself a favor and check out the possibilities at http://www.loooper.com/

Dave at Loooper worked with me for weeks, answering my questions about custom option combinations, pedal layout, etc. I even changed my mind about something after I placed my order and he made the change with no complaint. Excellent communication over email. Very nice guy. Highly recommended.

I play loud rock, but you could use this for any style of music. I've been playing for a little over 10 years now. If this was stolen or lost, I'd probably end up getting another one. It's a very useful piece of equipment, kind of turns your pedalboard into a Swiss Army Knife. I did compare the Loooper to a couple of other bypass boxes; the Loooper seemed the best made and had the best reviews, and the cost was very reasonable. I can definitely think of a Loooper wish-list, but my 2 Loooper was custom-ordered, so it has everything I asked for. The Loooper cleans up my pedal board and provides me with more tonal possibilities than I had before. What more can you ask for from a bypass box?

The best part about this unit is that there is no sound. Thats one of the reason for my purchase. I wanted a true bypassing switching system to run two separate effects loops and thats what i got.
It also has a separate line for a tuner that mutes everything else on my board when the tuner is in use; great.
Lastly, this unit has a 'both' button that engages both effects lines at the same time.

Loooper offers fantastic options for simplifying use of pedalboards and at the same time, eliminating tone drain from certain pedals / combinations.
If you think long and hard about what you'd like to achieve with your pedalboard setup, you can surely find something from loooper that will really help avoid the 'tap dance' associated with large pedal setups.
I say think long and hard cause mine wasn't what i'd consider cheap, but it's certainly worhtwhile. In planning, just make sure that you won't outgrow your current requiements too quickly

I judge this category for a switching box by how quiet it is. No hiss or loud clicking here. When I'm in bypass mode through the Loooper (no effects), my sound is natural and uncoloured, as it should be.

I have not had it long enough to provide a meaningful rating here. But I can say that the jacks and switches are top notch quality, the paint is pristine, and the labelling appears to be masked in during the painting, as opposed to decals. Sturdy metal box is used. The attention to quality and detail is apparent.

I know this is just a "switch box" rather than a new fangled distortionreverbtremolo thingy, and I rarely give 10's to anything I review, but its well built, works as advertised, and is reasonably priced. Excellent customer service to boot. I especially like the way you can custom order it via colour choice/finishes, battery, L.E.D's, tuner outs etc. The 10's were earned fairly. Other internet businesses should take note.

My setup is a '79 Gibson LP Custom-->true-bypass modded crybaby wah-->2 loooper-->100w Marshall JCM 800 2203 head. The tone from my marshall is INCREDIBLE, and I didn't want to sacrifice this is any way. However, there are still effects that I wanted to use on occassion, so the loooper was the perfect solution to my quandry b/c it allows me to preserve the true-bypass nature of my signal chain, while still allowing me to use those tone-sucking pedals I just can't seem to live with out! When switching the looops on and off, there is ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND, which is EXACTLY what this kind of pedal should do. No pops, no buzzes, no clicks, no NOTHING. It flawlessly incorporates your pedals into the signal chain, and then takes them completely out of the path in the same fashion. Also, as far as I can tell, there is NO difference in how my effects sound when being used through the loooper as compared with a normal routing through my signal chain.

The pedal is very well made, and I don't foresee any of the usual wear and tear a guitar pedal takes on and off the stage affecting it in any way. The box is metal and very sturdy, and the switches are of high quality, and feel like they could take some pretty serious stomping on! I would, and have, gigged with this pedal without a backup.

David Boggs is a great person to do business. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to my gear, and I wanted my loooper to be of a very specific design, right down to the most mundane details. David ALWAYS answered any email I sent very promptly, and was ALWAYS willing to do what it took to satisfy my preferences concerning the pedal. The end result? I received my pedal EXACTLY the way I wanted it. Additionally, I hear a lot of people mentioning the stellar customer support they receive from Robert Keeley. I have a few pedals modded by him, and have dealt with their customer service on several occassions. They are very nice people to deal with, but there are several people underneath Robert, that are frequently the ones who answer your inquiries and do the work on your pedals. Somehow, from this I tend to think that as a customer I get "lost in the shuffle" somewhere. With David, HE is the one who answers your email, and HE is the one who does the work on your pedal. I don't know what it is, but there is a more of a feeling of attention being paid to YOUR pedal when you have this kind of interaction.

I don't think it really matters what kind of music you play in regards to this pedal; the $64,000 question is: do you want to retain every bit of tone your amp can produce and STILL use tone-sucking effects pedals??? If so, this pedal is definitely for you. Also, this pedal is extremely useful for switching out multiple pedals with one switch. Have a delay, chorus, and flange you want to turn on/off all at once??? No problem, just hook them up to one of the looops and you can achieve this at the press of ONE switch. I would DEFINITELY purchase another one if it were lost or stolen, and I'm sure I will be buying at least another one as my playing expands into new realms of sound. I compared this pedal to the Keeley looper, but since that only had ONE loop, and considering the amount of customizable features on the Loooper, especially the number of looops and the tuner mute option, it was really a no-brainer which one to go with. Anything I wish it had? Hmmm... maybe some graphics of naked chicks, but that's all!

Doen't get much easier than this. An input, output, and two sends and returns. Put your pedals in the send/return loops, leave them on, and switch them in and out of line. LEDs let you know which loops are on. You can run it with an AC adapter or get the optional 9V battery connection. You can choose from a number of options (color, led color, etc).

Being a bypass box, it doesn't have a sound of it's own. What it does is take the sound you have and make it quieter and clearer - when you are not using your effects, they are out of the signal chain. You really can hear a difference. Most (if not all) non true-bypass pedals will color your sound somewhat when they are off. You may not even realize it until you hook them up to a bypass box like this. I'm currently using a bunch of Analog Man modded pedals, as well as some others.

I've been playing for 20+ years and I play all sorts of stuff from country to blues to fusion. This pedal is an important part of my setup. If you are serious about your tone, you should check out these Looopers. It is surprising how much your tone is affected by pedals that aren't even on. I've checked several other bypass box builder websites, and the Loooper is the best value - especially considering the array of options that you can choose from.

I play everything from Beatles with a 12 string Rickenbacker, to Eric Johnson with an SG-61 (Les Paul reissue). I need pure clean tone for everything I play. Evidence cables and a Sonic Maximizer already gave me a great tone, so I was pleasantly surprised when hearing the "upgraded" tone through use of this pedal. If stolen, I would not even think about it, I'd order another immediately. It's much more inspiring for me to hear the full potential of my rig with this pure-tone, true-bypass 2 Loooper pedal!
