Ease of Use : 1
I ordered the A/B/TM with the intent of tuner muting and amp channel switching on my Fender Twin Reverb. The unit shipped does not work as advertised and I am unable to use the TM. In fact, what I was sent was a box that would allow two guitars to be switched to 1 amp. No tuner mute makes this difficult to use.

Sound Quality : 8
I play two Fender American Deluxe Strats (one with Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots and the other with Seymour Duncan Antiquities) into an effects board that includes: Channel 1 - Maxon OD-9, AnalogMan Stereo Chorus, Maxon AD-900, Channel 2 - AnalogMan SunFace NKT275, Boss DS-1, vintage Ibanez FL-9, vintage Ibanez AD-9. Effects mounted on a PedalTrain pedal board. All of this into a Fender '65 Reissue Twin Reverb.

The A/B/TM Loooper is not noisy in the signal chain.

Reliability : 10
The components are top notch...for a paperweight and for an effect pedal.

Customer Support : 1
I ordered the A/B/TM unit on 12/9/05 and received it on 1/14/06. Much longer than I have experienced elsewhere. Had I received the unit that I ordered and then not been belittled by owner David Boggs, it would have been easy to swallow and probably worked very well. If you choose to order from him, I would recommend that you be prepared to receive a unit that is not what you ordered and for fun receive a dose of condescending blather. This is completely inconsistent with the customer satisfaction statements he publishes on his website. Go figure. Look elsewhere.

Overall Rating : 1
I wish it had a functioning TM. If it was stolen or lost, I'd have to find a rock to replace this paperweight.

Buy elsewhere, you will be much happier and without the condescending blather when he F's up your order.

Sorry David, you had a chance to correct the order and you chose not to.

Very east to use. Dave, asked me for the specs, I gave him a CAD drawing with a diagram of how I wanted the switches located, color of LED's, labels etc and he did it exactly as I asked, fast and for a very reasonable price.

Sound Quality : 9
My Loooper is a custom A/B guitar input switch and single Looper combo. The looper section is transparent, the A/B guitar input is a Little bit poppy but I'm not sure if that could be compleatly silent?

Reliability : 10
I use the pedal every day and switch guitars almost every song it sometimes seems and this thing is like a tank. No problems ever.

Customer Support : 10
After I got my Loooper I got brave and wanted to replace the foot switch in another pedal myself and Dave sold me a switch and shipped it to me for next to nothing.

He builds pedals to do what you want, the way you want from excellent parts, point to point hand wired and solid as a tank. Very Highly Recomended!

Overall Rating : 10
If you need a loooper pedal or any analog signal switching, you should do yourself a favor and contact Dave at Loooper. You will be satisfied!

It is a A/B box, its not like its rocket science or anything...

Sound Quality : 10
Again, its a passive A/B device... No circuit = no noise! ;)

Reliability : 10
Top quality parts, and very well assembled. Built tough, I wouldn't expect anything to go wrong with it.

Customer Support : 10
Now here is where I get to gush. Dave is a GREAT guy who has a extreamly high standards for customer satisfaction. My A/B had to be built to EXACT specs - I did a little paintshop scetch, and it came exactly how I wanted it!.. Plus I had a bare bones model made, with no paint - it came with groovy hand done graphics... quite nice...

Overall Rating : 10
I play post structure electro-acoustic music, and I have 2 huge pedalboards that are jam packed. I don't have room for as many expresion pedals as I need - this loooper helps me route my expresion pedal to the pedal that needs it + it makes for great instant changes for toe to heel!.. Very nice indeed, now EVERY a/b box would do this... But Daves fits just right, and plus it looks killer!

Simple to use, a nice bright LED so I know whether A or B is active. If you can't use one of these you probably have trouble dressing yourself.

Sound Quality : 10
I use this AB for channel switching on my Black Cat 30. No pops, ground hums or noises of any kind, no "dead spot" if you press the button slowly. Power for the LED is kept totally isolated (maybe a TPDT switch). Just a completely seamless switch from A to B. Perfect.

Reliability : 9
Tough and simple. High quality components. Who needs a backup?
I can't give this category a "10" because I haven't had it long enough, but I can see that it is trustworthy.

Customer Support : 9
I ordered this via internet from New Zealand. A few days later I got an email from David saying that it had shipped, and a few days after that it arrived. Gotta love that!
I can't imagine ever needing customer support for this little box, but if I ever do I'm sure I'll get it.

Overall Rating : 10
This little box is perfect for my setup. I also have the Bad Cat 2 button A/B/Y, but I don't use both channels together and to switch from A to B you have to press both buttons. If you're not careful you can end up with no sound. The Loooper is much better for me, and way cheaper. And it takes up less pedal board real estate.

One 'IN'...two 'OUTS'...one switch...simple Simon!!!

Sound Quality : 10
Great, zero tone suckage as far as I can tell.
I use this pedal as a "true bypass" for my Boss tuner, when I hit the switch the signal goes to the tuner, when I switch back it goes to the amp...since all the rest of my pedals are "true bypass" the Loooper keeps my tuner from sucking any tone, and trust me...IT WOULD!

Reliability : 10
Never had a care in the world as far as this pedal's concerned...Dave makes great stuff!

Customer Support : 10
I emailed Dave about getting this pedal made, he asked me what color I wanted the led's to be, and what color I wanted on the chassis...he's a true custom pedal maker!!! Whatever you want, he can do it!!!

Overall Rating : 10
Great tool for keeping noise out of my signal chain...I urge anyone using a Boss tuner ( or any other Boss, DOD, Ibanez or Danelectro pedal ) to do the same.

Just an a/b box. Easy to use.

Sound Quality : 10
no noise, no tone drain. no click when the button is pressed. does exaclty what it should.

Reliability : 10
well made. solid box. good worksmanship. i don't have a second so i'll be gigging without a backup. i trust it.

Customer Support : 10
Mr. Boggs was always quick to respond, friendly and helpfull.

Overall Rating : 10
Harmony Central tells me not to give a perfect 10 because they say nothing is that good, so maybe this review won't show up. I needed a simple a/b box. The parts alone to build one are over $30 so how Loooper Dave makes a profit is beyond me. His work is solid, the product is great and well worth the money. He'll work directly with the customer to build the unit the customer wants and that has to be one of his greatest features. Customer service is sorely lacking in America these days so he really was a breath of fresh air. Great product, great guy. Highly recommend.
