I have the Custom 2 loooper W/tuner mute and master bypass. I primarily use a lite ash Tele (with Seymour Duncans, '93 PRS CE and a customized Hamer (Seynour Duncan JB & '59). My signal first goes to a Diamond compressor then on to the Loooper. In loop 1, I have A Boss DS-1 and a Vox Wah (the ultimate tonesucker). Loop 2 is my Jekyyl & Hyde Ultimate Overdrive. I use a Boss TU-12 in the tuner out. Finally, my signal leaves the loooper and hits a Visual Sound H2O and then on to a 2-12 Fender Hot Rod DeVille with a 2-12 Mesa Boogie Recto cab. All of my CNB pedal board is connected with George L's .155 cable and 90 degree plugs. My guitar cables into my pedalboard and out to my amp, are Planet Waves. The signal is a little noisy when I switch to tuner with the high gain loop selected (DS-1), but with the loops bypassed, the signal is crystal. It's just a matter of familiarizing myself with the process. Definately able to live with it as the pros far outweigh the cons.

I have been playing for 30 years and am now doing covers (R&B, country and rock). This product has been the answer to my dreams. Being able to use my choice of effects without the tap dancing is awesome! I have not compared it to other products because of my location. I live in Halifax, N.S., Canada so to try, I have to buy. After extensive research, I choose Loooper and have been spreading the word ever since! If I needed to replace it, I would probably add more features. At the time I ordered it, I wasn't sure what I wanted but I now see the limit is my imagination!

David at Loooper is amazing. He responds faster to e-mails than my own mother. He is extremely helpful and patient. I dare you to find someone who cares more about their product, and their customers. My units are huge and very complex, he spent nearly a month answering several emails every day to help me design what i need for my large rig. He is by far the most helpful person i have ever dealt with. A+

I originally purchased a loooper with a Tuner-mute for my Ibanez AD-9 & Boss TU-2, and then purchased an additional loooper for my Boss CE-2 analog chorus. Both the looopers are well-designed & built, and do their assignment correctly every time. The loooper really comes in handy with the CE-2, as it introduces noise into the signal when "off". My AD-9 has an intermittant switch (a common Ibanez 9-series problem), so the loooper circumvents that inconvenience during gigs/recording. These economical & practical devices are worthy of praise and endorsement. The Loooper website is informative and easy to use, also.

You decide the options so hopefully if you can't figure it out your in trouble. All jacks and switches are clearly labeled.
Mine has four loops with an A/B option on the middle two. I have two different distortions that I can switch between in these loops. There is also a master bypass for the two middle loops. It's like having a three channel amp.

I bought a custom stereo looper for my chorus and delay. It is set up so that I can run the chorus or the delay or both or bypass both.
I bought it just to say that I had a whole true bypass chain, not expecting any noticable tone difference, but it made huge difference in my sound. The total bypass mode does not suck any tone what so ever and the other modes sound better because the chorus is not bleeding through when just using the delay and visa versa.

I know that other reviewers say that no pedal is a 10, but I give it a 10 because I got to choose exactly what I wanted, including the color, and was able to correspond with a real human being and when I got it, it worked BETTER than I had anticipated. When's the last time that happened?
It only has a light for 1 of the loops, but from what I understand, it is not possible to have 2 lights and still be true bypass, with the specifications that I wanted. If it had 2 lights, I guess I would have to give it an 11.
If you want your tone back, by a Dave Boggs looper.

Hello!
I just wanted to clarify that when a Loooper is built, any connection not being used is grounded- such as an effects loop, A/B, A/B/Y, Tuner Mute, etc. When the connection is turned on, the ground is lifted. This typically prevents popping.
The previous person was correct in his review; when I built his particular Loooper, I didn't wire his effects loops in this manner. I have since contacted this person and asked him to send the unit back, and I'll re-wire the loops and pay for shipping round trip.
Thanks for the great reviews, and thank you Yudy!

Very easy to use. With a custom loooper, you decide what you want it to do, and how you want it to work, and Mr. Boggs makes it happen. No need to manual, because the customer essentially determines how it is to be used.
Sound Quality

It's all true-bypass, so sound is unaltered. Occasionally, I do hear a slight pop, but only the first few times that it is engaged. So before a gig or practice, it is good to step on the switches a few times, especially if your pedalboard has been sitting under your bed for a week.
My loooper has stutter effect which works great. The momentary switch allows me to switch to my small stone phaser in and out... very cool. The blend knob mixes the wet and dry signal. Again, sound quality is top-notch. All high quality components.
I opened one of the looopers up, and noticed that the effect send wire (on the TB switch) was not sent to ground during bypass. This may be the cause of some of the 'pops' that i hear. But Mr. Boggs is always improving his products, and will fix anything up for you.

Top Notch! Mr. Boggs is a great guy to work with. He improved his product since selling me my looopers, so he fixed it up to current specs for free. He didn't even ask for return shipping.
Improvements he made on mine:
1. Added a switch to turn off clean blend. Improves the signal when the clean blend is not needed.
2. Tuner Mute send no longer has any signal bleed when you are not tuning.
Mr. Boggs has a lot of customers, but he treats them all on a very personal basis. Very much appreciated!

Mine has 3 switches and 2 separate loops. Upper middle switch is a tuner bypass (very handy for keeping my tone intact). The lower left switch is an a/b switch which lets me switch between loop a and loop b. The lower right switch is an on/off switch which allows for full bypass of either loop a or loop b, depending on which is chosen. I can't run a and b at the same time. This is what I wanted, for reasons listed below.
Very easy to hook up. It's all very logical. It's made the rest of my rig easier to use. Mine has 2 separate loops and an a/b switch so I can switch between them. Basically I have my heavy tone in loop a (Frantone Sweet). In loop b I have mild overdrive and analog delay (Reverend Drivetrain and Maxon AD-80). I got this pedal for 2 reasons. 1. The Sweet and BD-2 sound awful with the Rev Drivetrain and Maxon AD-80 so I never use them at the same time. 2. I got sick of tap dancing to switch between mild overdrive and heavy fuzz or between analog delay and heavy fuzz.
Sound Quality
:
10
Constantly evolving set up is currently: MIJ Fender Tele 72 Thinline into Axess BS-2 Buffer/Splitter into Loooper:
Loooper Tuner Out: Boss TU2
Loooper Loop A: Frantone Sweet Fuzz
Loooper Loop B: Reverend Drivetrain to Maxon AD80
Loooper Out: Boss DD-5 with tap tempo into Boss Tremelo into Dr Z Z28 Head into Kingsley 2x12 Cab with Greenbacks
The true bypass is outstanding. No signal degradation. And when it's on, the loop itself is transparent as well. My effects sound better now because my signal path is shorter. Mind you, my signal has always been great because I use the Axess Buffer and Mogami cables.

Very easy to use.
My Loooper has one loop and a tune mute switch (so you can tune your guitar without having the guitar signal still going to the amp).
Your guitar goes into the input jack and from the output jack on the Loooper you go to your input on your amp. You then have an effects loop (send and return) on the Loooper, which is a true bypass to all the effects in the loop (when off).
The pedal doesn?t come with a manual but it?s simple enough so you really don?t need one.
Sound Quality
:
10
I use lots of guitars (2 Gibsons, 4 Fenders and others) all going through an Ampeg Superjet (SJ-12T) amp.
Some gigs I use lots of effect pedals and other gigs I will use just one, but for the record I will list the effects I use (if I use them all) going through the Loooper?s effects loop:
Loooper -> Dunlop Crybaby -> Boss Blues Driver -> Boss Compressor / Sustainer -> Digitech Multi-Chorus -> Boss Flanger -> Danelectro Phaser -> Danelectro Vibrato -> Danelectro Tremolo -> Danelectro Slap Echo -> Boss Delay -> Loooper
The Loooper is very quite.
When you turn the loop on (the LED comes on) and there is no volume difference and no extra noise.
The tuner mute switch doesn?t affect the sound so I really can?t comment on that, but it works great (I also use it as a ?standby? switch for my amp to change guitars without turning my amp off).
Reliability
:
10
I haven?t really used this pedal out anywhere, but looking at the insides it all looks very well made and very tough.
The box is made of steel and has great footswitches and input jacks.
The Looper has an AC adapter (Boss style) input and a 9-Volt battery compartment inside the pedal box.

Dave is super friendly in his emails about the Loooper.
I asked him a couple of questions about making a loooper for me and he was able to make it for me (in the color I wanted with the LED colors I wanted as well) all within a little over a week.
Dave even emailed me to let me know he was mailing the pedal and the pedal came very well packed.
Overall Rating
:

I?ve been playing guitar for over 10 years now and I really liked the idea that someone could make a little custom device that does what it?s supposed to do and not charge a lot of money for it.
If this pedal ever got stolen I would order another one from Dave.
A cool feature to this pedal (that I forgot to mention) is that you could have a pedal (or multiple pedals on) and have them all come on and off all with a tap of one footswitch on the Loooper.
The thing I liked about the Loooper is mainly the whole idea of the pedal being to your specs and colors.
My Loooper is painted in a cobalt blue metal flake finish with a blue LED for the loop switch (which is cool because it matches the blue power light on my Ampeg amp) and a red LED for the tuner mute switch.
The pedal also has some really nice decals on it labeling the different input jacks and switches.
Overall it?s a very professional looking pedal.
If I could rate the overall rating on this pedal I would go to 11.
