One knob and one internal trim pot- not too much easier than that. I have recently whittled my pedals to to functionality on stage, without of course giving up on tone. What I mean is, how easy can I modify with my clunky feet? One knob pretty much does it for me.

I'm using a Jazzmaster and ASAT with this pedal into a Nick Greer Underdog. The pedal is very silent when engaged. The sounds that you can get range between a slob but prevalent throb to a rotary flutter. I had issues with it at first having too much high end- it would get really shrilly on the ramp up; I remedied this by changing the pedal in the line up. Now, the high end is rolled off and the bass end really fills out the sound on cleans. When distortion is added it can get pretty thick sounding on the swash; however, this can be helped with adjustment of the guitar volume. It also sounds really good with delay- I don't know, I've just been experimenting with it and really like how it plays with my other effects, again- changing it in the line up was necessary.
There can be a slight pop when engaged- I have found that if you turn it on for a minute or two, this will subside. This was also suggested by Sean in the instruction manual.
I have not attempted to mess with the internal pot, why mess with a good thing?

I am a little disappointed with the 9 volt jack. It is very loose and does not seem to be anchored. I have not opened up the pedal to see what's going on, so maybe I just need to do a little adjusting. I've read that Sean will stand by his stuff- if it becomes a dire problem, I'll write him.

As I mentioned before, I revised my pedal options based on functionality without sacrificing tone. This pedal does that for me- one knob that can be adjusted on the fly and has an excellent vibe sound. Honestly, I like a little more pitch shifting in a vibe than this offers- but, I have grown to like this little pedal more and more. The range of speed is really vast- and you can really nail some interesting sounds out of this. The pedal takes up very little real estate and again- is very functional.
I based my decision from the pro guitar shop videos- I just thought the sound was right, the price was right, the size was right and the one knob. I don't have megabucks to spend on a pedal that I don't overly use, and I don't have the space for the larger apparatuses that are available. I highly recommend this pedal.

one knob, slow to fast. i wish these smooth footswitches were the industry standard. very sensitive internal pot. mark the factory position before you mess with it so you can find your way back to civilization.

a very unique vibrato effect. powerful, but not overpowering, it's expressive and musical. not too bright, either. a little buzzy-noisy, but seems like it's just sensitive to other electrical devices.
i play a jaguar and various goyas and hagstroms, mostly single-coils, usually through a super reverb. twelve-strings through this thing sound like underwater grand pianos. this pedal goes great before an echo and after an overdrive or fuzz (like my lovepedal white dragon...the gentleman's fuzz of choice). it's very tasteful.
a 9 for the noise, but everything in that 9 is fantastic.
everybody's talking about trower and hendrix, but this pedal just makes ME sound cooler.

well built. i've used it on lots of shows and never had a problem. i always use fresh batteries. i wish lovepedals had little rubber footpads. i also wish the new vibes had the old giant foot knob. since i have one wish left, i'll take a lotus europa.

i play all kinds of stuff. this sounds good for all of it. you can dial the intensity back a bit and leave it on all the time like a weird chorus. like all lovepedals, it really serves the music and your tone and doesn't draw attention to itself. fun to play, too! makes old songs sound like new songs.
this thing got me hooked on lovepedals. it'll happen to you, too. run for your life.

just want to update my review. i compared the vibe to another vibe, & really getting a feel cranked does give a better idea--loud practices are needed once in awhile--not all the time. it can get hard to create music after you reach a certain volume.

i compared the vibe to an mjm 60's vibe. i said you would need dog ears to really hear a difference. the mjm has a touch more water in its throb tone. the love pedal is close. what it comes down to is your opinion when you check them out. the love pedal, like i said, for a non-photo cell effect is very good. half the price. you can get a good throb if wanted from the internal knob---user friendly. probably made more for a strat guitar with the bottom push. i use jbls, celestion 30's will more than likely make a difference with the tone. a marshall type amp will affect the tone differently than a fender type. you can look at a lot of variances with your equipment when checking out effects. just remember, you can't change your hands--yet. the curse of a tone junkie

don't slam on the effect--a lite touch turns it on. some pedals need to get hit--you don't need to with this one. goes on & off smooth.

took about 5 minutes with the internal control to find my vibe tone. his instructions are clear. very easy to get what you want from a vibe. the internal control has a good range for what you may want. blends with my other effects fine.

no noise. i bet the intention is to use this vibe with a strat--no volume drop--but you get a bass boost--at least i do. it's not a bad bass--some effects can make you flubby or just wreck your feel for the bottom tone you want. this is to me a bass tone that does not mess you up. i use les pauls most of the time, so of course this bass kick feels strong. so with a strat--the boost should give you what a boost effect would give you--so if you use a boost in your chain--you may not need it with this vibe. with overdrive, i hear just a hint of extra harmonic when the effect is on--i like this. when the effect is off--there is no drop off with my other effects or amp sound. i like the throb i get. i have an mjm 60's vibe--it is based on the real thing because mike has one. i tried this vibe because i can--glad i did. very close to the mjm's watery feel--i should say you would need dog ears to really sense the difference to be fair. this is half the price of a kr megavibe--& i'd have to say very equal in sound. the megavibe & the 60's vibe are very similiar--both are based on the real thing. for an effect with no photo cell--you should be impressed. i use a divided by 13 ftr 37 with a 2x12 jbl cabinet. i have 8 effects on the floor--all top stuff. everything blends fine.

just got it--it does not use a metal case as heavy as say a fulltone or the mjm. but i don't mash down on my stuff or drop it. the on/off switch and jacks are good stuff. very clean work inside. i hear he stands up for his work like the majority of boutique guys. he also asks you to get on harmony central to spread the word about his stuff. if he made junk, he would get blasted. so here i am--if i thought the vibe was sh*t, i would say so. i think it will stand up. he has upated the vibe the last several years with improvements from what i know. i like what i hear. funking good.

i did email him this summer when i was checking out the other reviews here. didn't get one back. maybe it didn't go thru, or he was on vacation. i read where he is good at returning emails. i'm not gonna complain. i hope i won't have any issues with it since he has improved his production of this vibe. i'll do a no opinion since i have not had any contact with sean. nothing negative here.

very good vibe. i've played for 26 years. i like the trower, hendrix, zep stuff. i also like santana, the allman's, & southern rock. i have alot of coloring with my effects--this vibe does just that. it is a good addition. no hate, you'll love the pedal. very simple to use. half the price of other vibes like the original. you have to like that.

No Noise, Its analog that makes it great...I use it first in the chain
and for mostly cleans..I'm a huge rack fan, I mean i have or had them all. I have a g-force,Eventide H8000fw,2 MPX-1's righ now. sold the eclipse.
I never got into pedals much maybe a few times but they never
did it for me...I think i heard of lovepedals on gearslutz.com so I decided to try an overdrive for my Bogners. I think my first lovepedal
was the Lovepedal Mini Valve Clean Boost. when ever heard this pedal
I couldn't stop buying lovepedals lol...All I can say is try the vibe pedal. Use a touch of it on your lead parts or more for clean rhythm
how could you not love the huge warm, fat analog sound

Fairly easy to get a good sound straight out the box. It states that you can mess around with the internal trimpot! But IMO don't bother, it will just mess up the original sound.

All the Trower,Jimi sounds are in this box, you just have to maybe alter the eq on your amp and/or overdrive pedals in the chain. I use it with a custom shop fat 5o's loaded fender strat into a Dunlop Hendrix wah, magic boy, Bad monkey, screamin blues, Britt face fuzz trhen into marshall vintage /modern 100 watt head, marshall 4 12" greenback cab.

When i first used it the on off pedal seemed to crap out, when i looked inside i could see that the mini circuit board was just wedged into place with some foam, and when the switch was pressed it was causing a short!! Not very reliable in the long term! I had to wedge some rubber underneath to cure the problem!

Jimi Trib, a good match. and iv'e tried and owned Fulltone Deja vibe (too hissy, whooshy with overdrive pedal and thin sounding) Dunlop rotovibe (not bad, but not really a vibe sound) Although this is my opinion, i'm not rubbishing these pedals, wer'e all different and are after different tones. Thats what makes us so anal.

A one knob wonder! Plus trim pot inside. Sooo simple and dialed in nicely...stomp and go! No led or A/C power.Small but cool little box!

Very nice warble...full range of usefull sound! Not a timid effect...you know it's on,which is good cause there is no LED.As one reviewer mentioned, it can sound a tad thin on the top(esp when using bridge PU on a strat),but backing the vol off on the guitar warms it right up. This pedal really finds Trower territory! Very transparant while giving that watery phase.I like it a lot! It works very well with an overdrive in front.
I had a foxrox Captain Coconut for a while...ended up selling it because I did not use the fuzz or octave functions much...while this pedal does not have the tweeking parameters of the CC, it IMO sounds better.
Tried tweeking the trim a bit but set it back to where Sean had it...be sure to mark that setting with a sharpie.
Instructions...mention the power the pedal up before playing through the amp in order to discharge the cap...that way you will avoid the POP!

I dont own an easier to use pedal than this little beautie. As for the internal trimpot...I've never had to touch it, it is set perfectly.

It is dead silent when not engaged, and the ENTIRE sweep of the rate control yields beautiful sounds from start to finish, it is essentially one huge sweet spot from start to finish. It sounds great with my hand-wired point to point Morris 50w amp, and my el cheapo VOX 15w pathfinder never sounded better. Both my PRS and Eastman El Rey ER3 sound stunning with it.
I've found all of the Trower and Hendrix things you'd want in it, loads of luscious and clucky phaser sounds. Heck, maxed out mine even gets into that Leslie on ludes thing that John Scofield uses his Ibanez CS-9 for. Clean, overdriven....it all sounds great. I would have given this thing a 10 but that outrageous thump issue when it is first powered up warrants the deduction. I really cant imagine why Sean did not nip this issue in the bud....ridiculous.

Here is where things go sour....mine sounded great for about one week, then out of the blue the power up "thump" started occurring everytime I stepped on it. I took the back off to inspect the interior and found the box to be the flimsiest boutique pedal I've bought (and most of my pedals are boutique), the enclosure is actually slightly bendable. I appreciate manufacturers looking for ways of streamlining production processes and costs but this thing is ridiculous. The structural design of this unit has disposable written all over it.
Customer Support

I thought it couldnt get worse...but it did when I tried to get hold of the manufacturer to get advice and arrange for return for repair or replacement. First of all it is almost impossible to contact the manufacturer, there is no way of doing this on the website.
After finally making contact through his Myspace page it has been a week and change and I have had no satisfaction. Only two very brief replies from the manufacturer, both of them unhelpful. When asked about return he suggested I try the point of purchase. This seems to me to be someone that does not stand behind their product, or at the very least is perhaps someone too busy for their own good?
Overall Rating

Regardless of the early breakdown, the difficulty in making contact, the lack of support, AND the flimsy enclosure it comes housed in I still HAVE to still give this darned thing a 10 based solely on its sound. The sonic nature and simplicity of this unit is truly a stroke of genius. My advice is to the prospective buyer is to buy one, and have it re-housed in a Hammond box. My advice to the manufacturer is to hire someone to handle the business side of your operation.

after using the dunlop, and the hughes&kettner, this is a refreshingly simple and clear effect.I shoved an early Barber direct drive that I swapped out the 4558d for a 4558p chip in front of it.then set the vibe at about 1:30 to 2 oclock, sounds almost like a cocked crybaby. The chip swap gets a singing, sustainy sound without a whole lot of dirt, just fat,and sets the vibe to creamy ,fat yowzer territory.Roll off your guitars tone control a little, and the midrangy stuff happens.I like this box a lot.Does pretty good on the hendrix type stuff too.Close enough that the audience cant tell its not a high dollar rotating smooze and ooze pedal.Sounds good clean, sounds good smacked around a little bit.It sounds good period.

Used it about 3 months now,so far so good.I put in a dc jack and a light cause i'm retentive.Power it off one of those Rocktron multiple outlet power supply thingy's,and it is dead quiet.Jusy remember to step on it once after powerup, and before taking your amp off standby, cause that cap discharging sends a nice thump thru your rig, then step on it again to turn it off until needed. The thump wont happen again.I feel confident that it's reliable. If it goes out,I can live without it until fixed,so no backup.

I have been playing for many years and have enough gear to take different rigs to different venues, rack set ups,4x12's,bogner cubes, combos, way too much crap to list.I play everything from country to jazz with just about any kind of rock in the middle, and this pedal will fit squarely in the rock vein. dont hate anything about it,its pretty versatile, and I love it's simplicity and stellar sound. There isn't much inside it,a handful of nondescript parts which goes to show that Sean has a good understanding of the sounds of various components, which makes him a tone monkey of the highest degree. There is a reason his pedals fetch the prices they do,and he is that reason. You want a basic vibe then buy this pedal.I dont use it that much, but when I do it screams Money Well Spent.
