Very simple to use. Level, Drive and Glass knobs + a 3 way switch that just gives a much wider variety of overdrive sounds. It only takes minutes to get flying with this thing. There is no manual offered so to speak of but you'd have to be a monkey not to be able to work it all out for yourself. (no offense to monkeys intended).

I use a Gretsch 6120SSU and a Rivera Venus 3 (all wonderful). I have a Boss DD3 before this Lovepedal. Firstly there is no noise at all from my set up, that of course includes the Lovepedal.
This pedal gives me a beautiful boost to my already great sounding, clean sound. It's very sparkly and warm ( the Glass knob will do both). Totally compliments my Gretsch. Pushing the pedal into overdrive is just lovely. I am in total control of this thing, and man, is it transperent (YES)! This is all using the middle position. It really gets me very close to a Setzer sound.
Switching to the left side gives more gain and allows for a smoother sound with more sustain. Turning the drive up full is very satisfying. This to me is reminiscent of Jim "Reverend Horton Heat" Heath. The right position is a mix of the other 2 but I haven't really tested this out too much as it's less appealing than the other 2. That's my personal tastes though.
This pedal, as soon as I engaged it, blew me away. Previously I was using a Visual Sound Route 66, which is now no longer in use. I can't imagine switching to another overdrive after using this. It is truly that SWEET.

It is hard to say as I've only had it a few weeks. It doesn't look as nice as other pedals (I'm sure that aesthetics aren't priority #1 for Sean, who is obviously all about the tone. What else would anyone want?????), and maybe it doesn't look as strongly built as my VS Route 66?, however, it still feels solid and I'm sure it would suit a gigging guitarist.

I have to say that I was amazed at how quickly I received this in the mail. I paid on a Thursday and had it the following Wednesday. OK so it took a week. Not bad considering I live in Australia. So for that I have to give a 10

So, this pedal is exactly what I've been imagining I want in an overdrive. I live in a part of the world where I'm starved of choice for decent overdrive pedals so I had to do ALL of my research on the net. I read everything and listened to heaps of demos and i have to say that I made the "absolute" right choice with this Lovepedal. I believe my VS Route 66 is also a great overdrive (with separate compressor), but it didn't quite give me what I was after. This, however, does. I reckon my playing has already improved since I got this. Amazing but true.
I'm sure this won't be my last Lovepedal.

3 knobs, 1 switch... you'll be set-up in a minute:
'Volume' is self explanatory
'Glass' controls the amount of highs
'Drive' controls...um...the amount of drive!
The toggle positions are discussed in detail by the previous reviewer.
My pedal came with a one-page manual, but since the controls work very effectively, you won't really need it. It's easy to hear what each control does.

This is a boost/overdrive pedal. As such its inherent gain is not more than say a TS. It's not a distortion pedal (by itself, read on!).
The tone is very amp-like, and reacts superbly with my guitar and amp. If you like your basic tone, the Fuse will enhance it a lot.
The pedal adds a warm, non-obtrusive, but still cutting overdrive when used before a clean amp. It's all there: With the toggle to the left, the sound reminds me of that classic 'woman tone' - very warm (think Clapton/Cream). The middle position with its mid-freq. content will cut through any mix (Think TS/SRV). My favourite is the right position. A very classic and classy overdrive yielding the impression that you are playing with more gain than is actually there: My Strat sings and sustains in a way that I before only experienced when using much more gain.
Moreover, I realised the pedal reacts to the pickup-positions in a very versatile way: Lush sweet tones on the neck pup, middle or treble pup sounds like classic Rolling Stones/late 60ies Rock, and the in-between positions ring through clear and not the least muddy (as they can do with some other pedals).
Even with drive at 3 o'clock, you can dial back to almost clean with the volume pot of your guitar - this allows for great Blues-tones; you can 'walk through' a multitude of sounds just by playing with the volume pot.
For med/high gain, I tried the Fuse before a Guyatone Mini OD2+...
This results in a mighty blown-out Hardrock-tone: Endless sustainnnn, and a fat, ballsy drive with a lot of character. It reminds me of AC/DC, and even allows for some Brian May like 'violin'-tones. There's also some Gilmour tones to be found.
I'm running out of comparisons...
All in all, the Fuse is an extremely versatile pedal by itself. When pairing it with a second drive, its versatiliy is enhanced even more.
The tones you will get with the fuse are always very amp-like and classic. Rather vintage than modern, I would say.
The silent true bypass is great and works as it should. Switching is completely silent. I noticed one other thing: I have a Pickle-Vibe in front of my OD-section (BTW, godly Hendrix-tone with the Fuse). The Vibe used to pop quite loud when switching; since the Fuse is on my board, the pop has completely gone! Don't ask me why?!

Too soon to say.
The pedal looks and feels very rugged. The only concern might be the toggle-switch, which is soldered directly to the board, and not fixed to the case of the pedal. But since it is 'protetced' by the knobs, there's no danger of stepping on it accidentally.

I had read some bad stuff about Lovepedal customer-service.
Here's my experience:
I imported the pedal to Germany, and Customs needed additional invoices and some more papers (sigh...), so I contacted Sean directly. He's been very friendly and helpful on that matter.
So far, Sean has given me the feeling of being a very respected customer.
I don't understand why some people don't get along with him?

I've benn playing Jazz/Blues/60ies Beat & Classic Rock for almost 30 years.
Is the Fuse a good match? You bet. I had looked for years for that 'perfect overdrive': With its warm, woody, sweet and still cutting OD, the Fuse is closest to that 'sound in my head'.
Comparing price/sound relation, this pedal is awesome value.
This pedal has melted with my other setup efficiently and fast.
I was very critical about the glowing reviews and comments about Sean's Overdrives before I got the Fuse. You may have noticed that the sound of this little box keeps blowing me away every time I engage it.
If there's one thing I could wish for, it's that Sean would change the colour away from the 'Cappucino Look' (beige pedal & brown knobs). But then, I don't really care as long as it sounds the way this pedal sounds! ;o)

This is a review of a Lovepedal Eternity 'Fuse' edition. I'm making an educated guess that it's called the Fuse because you can switch between the sounds of three different versions of the Eternity, hence a fusion. Sean doesn't give you a 'manual' with his pedals (at least not with any of the ones I've bought), but rather let's you explore their inner workings on your own. Regardless of that, this pedal (as all effect pedals should be) is terribly easy to operate. Three knobs (volume, 'glass' and gain) one three-way mini-toggle switch (to go between the three different sounds) and one 'silent' foot-switch. Dialing in your sound is pretty easy and takes less than two minutes of twisting knobs and moving the toggle back and forth. Some people won't buy Sean's pedals unless he wired them himself, but I think that's kind of silly. I've played several different Lovepedal's hand wired and mass produced and think they're all wonderful in their own distinct fashions. I'm giving this category a 9 because Sean doesn't include a manual, that's it.

I'm driving this pedal with my Music Man Axis Super Sport HH loaded with a set of A5 HighOrder humbuckers (a 'Maximus' in the bridge and a low-output, about 7.5K, in the neck). I use Spectraflex cables and love them. And I route all that into my Fargen Olde 800 (JCM 800 hand wired clone) set for a slightly dirty tone. Some of Sean's pedals were meant to be alkaline powered, this isn't one of them. I will say that when it's plugged up to a wall-wart that it's pretty noisy, but a good noise-gate can take care of that. Whatever way you choose to power it, the tonality will remain the same (very good thing). I bought this pedal because I had previously owned an Eternity Kanji (loved it, but was stupid and sold it). I wanted something to give me a fuller, but still transparent and super-articulate, lead tone that was only medium gain. This pedal delivers that in spades. No matter where you set the knobs it's, in my humble opinion at least, a wonderful tone. But let's discuss the knob positions...
Far left (position #1):
- Has the least volume of the three positions, but is the warmest.
- Nice, full and even-across-the-board mids (it's not like a hump, but rather a soft, pillow-like wall of mids).
- Is the least punchy position, but gives up those 'sweet' tones the easiest as well.
- Is very nice for faster runs as it sounds smooth and even through some very intense picking.
Middle (position #2):
- The loudest of the three positions, has the most bite and edge.
- I believe this would be the position closest to the traditional tube-screamer camp.
- Will get some nice cutting shred tones without the ice-pick highs.
- Has the best articulation of the three positions.
Far right (position #3):
- Feels like a nice mix between the first two positions.
- Has most of the articulation and a good bit of attack like pos. #2, but has more warmth and sweetness like pos. #1.
- Has just a smidge less volume than position #2.
The knobs are a much more simple affair. The volume or 'boost' knob as Sean labeled it, does both those things. You can set it to unity gain (between about 10 and 12 o'clock depending on where the toggle switch is), or you can crank it and drive your amp pretty stinkin' hard. You definitely will not be lacking in the volume department. The tone or 'glass' knob, in addition to rolling off some of the highs, can also boost them. This is handy as this pedal can get very warm in the right settings. The gain knob is a little tricky IMHO. It doesn't have as much range as I'd like, but it doesn't feel like a standard gain knob does. Instead of adding more overdrive/distortion, it feels like the overdrive fills out as you turn it up. Think of it like a sauce that you're cooking. When the sauce is hot it's more liquid-like and watery, but as it cools it thickens up. I know that's a poor comparison, but it makes sense in my head.
Again, I use this pedal for full sounding lower-gain leads, but that's just me. This pedal can wear a few hats and do justice to all of them. It's going to take a really awesome overdrive to make me get rid of this thing. That's why it gets a 10 from me.

My 16 month old got a hold of the pedal one day while I was at work and my wife wasn't paying attention. He's thrown it, drooled on it, banged it against a wall several times and beat it against a great many other things from what my wife told me. I think it'll last just fine. Me, I baby my pedals. I don't jump on them or abuse them. When I'm not using them they stay in a nice sealed case and only come out to be used. This pedal should last a lifetime for me.

Sean always answers my emails. Maybe the next day, but always within a 36 hour period (that's for non-important questions, if you have an issue with a pedal, he'll email you back withing two hours). He's always polite and courteous. I've talked to him on the phone before and he was even willing to shoot the breeze with me as well. A+ on customer service, definitely a 10 from me.

I play anything that strikes my fancy at the time. Be it jazz, blues, metal, rockabiliy, etc... This pedal will suit a lot of different tonal needs for me and does exactly what I want it to. If it were lost I'd just buy another one immediately, that's how much I enjoy it (I wouldn't even waste time tracking down the culprit). I can't say I hate anything about this pedal. I don't think the finish does it justice, but that's just a cosmetic issue. You could compare this to a tube-screamer and it would be good ballpark comparison. But this pedal sounds so much more refined than any TS I've ever encountered. If you're looking for a warm and articulate TS type tone that's pretty versatile, this is a great pedal to try out.
