Very simple to use. Level knob, Fuzz knob. That's it. Came with a 9 volt battery already inside. Plug in & play.

Using a stock Strat into various blackface Fenders, this pedal nails that classic 60's germanium fuzz sound. Think '67 Hendrix, Velvet Underground, etc. It is VERY sensitive to your pick attack, guitar volume, & anything else that's put in front of it. I recommend 1st in the chain. Cleans up nicely when you roll off your guitar's volume. Very dynamic & earthy. Works with you, not against you like other fuzz pedals. Like most fuzz pedals, it likes the cheap dollar-store non-alkaline 9 volts better than a Duracell or Energizer. If you want that '66 Arbiter Fuzz sound & don't want to spend $500+, buy this pedal. You won't be disappointed! Also, it's tru-bypass.

I've heard Mike is excellent when it comes to support, but this is through the grapevine as I haven't had to call for anything.

I play everthing from pop to country to psychedelic rock. You want classic 60's fuzz, this is the pedal. I've been playing about 15 years. I also have an Analogman Clone Chorus (HIGHLY recommended) that sounds great with this pedal. If it was lost or stolen I would order another one without a second thought.

I am using a Strat or Les Paul into the MJM London Fuzz > Crowther Hotcake > Klon Centaur > Sweet Sound Ultravibe > then into a Super Reverb with Webervst P10Q's. As soon as i plugged my guitar into this pedal i expierenced a Fuzz that sounds way better than any other i have ever tried! All i can say is that it has a magical tone to it. It sounds like it has a lot more life than other fuzzes i have used which inclued 2 Fulltone 69's, Diaz Texas Square Face, and 2 Dunlop Fuzz Faces. It is just Fat, Dynamic, Smoooth, and has more fuzz and gain available. You can instantly get a incredible Hendrix or Allman tones from it. What i also like about it is that it cleans up nicely and all volumes on the guitar are usable. Turn the guitar down if you want slight clean overdrive or turn it up if you want full out fuzz. Great pedal, it just sings!

I give this guy a 11 out of 10 because he responds quick and is real nice. My pedal arrived a little roughed up from shipping with the circut board mounts unglued and some scratching on the top and side. He answered my complaint instantly and told me if i ever want to exchange it for a new one he would replace it. Very Cool! Not worth send it back cause i just fixed it up on my own.

Overall my conclusion is that i will be hard pressed to find another Germanium Fuzz that sounds like this. I plan on keeping this one. The only thing that could use improvement is the graphics, and the silk screen job. It just seems that he could have put more effort into the cosmetics. For that reason i can't give it a 10. The paint job is excellent but the way he did the graphics looks like an amature job. I told him what i thought about this and he was so cool responding back by saying that he and that he plans on eventually working on the cosmetics. I told him if he matched the cosmetics with the quailty of the sound he would be bombarded with business. Internally he does use top notch quailty parts and real germanium, i believe NOS transistors. The graphics certanily wouldn't hold me back from buying another if i lost this one. Go and buy one from him at www.musictoys.com or his e-mail at mjmguitarfx@hotmail.com It will be the best Fuzz purchace you will find!

Before I bought this pedal I read many fab reviews of it. I started thinking that it was some hype about it. I have to admit that the others guys on the web swearing by it were right: this fuzz is faboulous. So far I used it on a single gig in a small club. I've got a Plexi but in these situations I prefere to use my Marshall Artist combo. My live rig was the following: '69 strat (rosewood board)into a Budwah into a Voodoo Lab Microvibe into the London Fuzz into the amp. As you can see a simple rig for a natural, "in your face" tone. I used the fuzz mainly for lead. The tone was amazing: FAT, BIG, dinamic and also very sweet and musical. I own and I have tried many fuzz boxes: Fulltone 69 and 70, Austone Fuzz Nutz, Big Muffs and even old originals Fuzz Faces (silicon version). The London Fuzz blows away all the new Fuzz Face or Big Muff clones that I ever heard or owned and is just as good as my originals Fuzz Faces. My best one is still my '68 FF with bc108c transistors but is a lot noisier than the London Fuzz wich is very quiet indeed. Al in all a fantastic fuzz for a good price, perfect if you're into Hendrix, Cream and heavy electric blues just as me.

As I said above, this is the best sounding fuzz available in today's market, at least in my opinion. I think it's enough. If it were stolen or lost I think I would buy another one. It surely helps me make music giving such authority and beautiful rich tone to my solos.

This pedal is a perfect recreation of the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face. With this unit, I can nail just about every Hendrix fuzz tone off his first 2 CDs. This pedal also can handle the Cream era tones and Eric Johnson sounds. I have tried out many of the other popular brand names' fuzzes out there and this one just sounds and looks so much better. I have never heard such a fatter, richer sounding fuzz before. The bass on this pedal remains tight even at high volumes. I got my pedal in blue hammerite with geranium transistors and couldn't be happier with this pedal.

Overall, this is my favorite pedal along with my MJM Blues Devil (exact copy of a TS808). This is the 3rd MJM pedal I have bought and all of them have exceeded my expectations. I am getting great results with all of his pedals and couldn't ask for more out of a fuzz. At low volumes it has a wonderful sweetness and when you crank the fuzz it just continues to get fatter and warmer.

I wouldn?t compare this unit with a original Fuzz Face. Why? Because I?ve never played one that was 100% original or that sounded good. This London Fuzz is just amazing! Comparing with the other fuzz boxes I have(6 more that supposed to be Fuzz Face kind of sound) this unit sounds fat, full, organic, and very musical. I thought it would sound less fuzzy, since all the other ones I have(but the Wells NYC) are more warm and round sound, with much less gain. The London Fuzz prime for it?s name... it really FUZZ!!! I can?t get a bad sound on it... most of the other fuzz I?ve tried, including the ones I have, aren?t that complete. I can use it with the Fuzz knob from 0 to 10 and get the same tight bass response from it. Also, it doesn?t loose nothing of it?s top or bottom end response, wherever is your guitar?s volume knob. This is what I call a complete fuzz box!!!!
I can get bell like tones using it with the strat volume rolled back or full, tight and huge fuzz just on the guitar?s
Volume/Tone knobs.
And what really makes me fall in love with this pedal is the fact that you can get thunderstorms fuzz sound without loosing the pickups character. And I?ve tried with Marshalls, Fenders, Matchless, Les Paul, Strat and Tele... and nothing can make me think about a negative point on this pedal.

Very easy from the get go, takes a second to dial in the sweet spot but after that it's all downhill. It's good to find the sweet spot with the volume and then max out the fuzz. From there on just control the amount of Fuzz/Clean tone you want with your guitars volume knob. I love this feature.

My setup goes as follows, Strat w/ Duncan Antiquity II's-->London Fuzz-->Fulltone Deja Vibe(older white version, nice)-->Vox Reissue Wah-->Blues Pearl Bluesmaster. The Blues Pearl Bluesmaster is an amazing amp and breaks up nicely. It's a 3x10 brown bandmaster type amp but has some more gain. The London Fuzz is a vintage Fuzzface type pedal with carbon composition resistors, NOS parts, and best of all, two matches Old Stock Germanium Transistors(the goods). The pots are massive and top quality along with all the other parts and wire. I got mine colored in a Navy Blue Hammerite finish and it looks quite nice. It runs off of bateries as well as an option to use an AC. The box is very sturdy and i'm impressed with the construction. Nice Hand Wiring, good finish, excelent mounting of the circuit board. The way I use the fuzz is I put the Volume of my Bluesmaster anywhere above 6 so it has a little break up, set the output of the fuzz at about 1/3 level(the sweet spot), and max out the fuzz knob. This gives me a Full bass response when i strike that low E so the fuzz stays tight and thick. It works great with all pickup combinations on the strat. It's good to have your amp set with a good amount of treble if you already don't because this germanium fuzz brings a lot of bass. Once you dial in all your settings though, it can get a tad noisy, thats all right, barely tweak your volume on your guitar down to about 9, and the noise goes away and the fuzz is thick. Roll off the volume and the fuzz goes down and cleans up nicely. The fuzz sounds good anywhere you set the volume knob on you guitar. The best fuzz i've ever played. Not harsh, it's very fat and organic. It can nail all those Hendrix-Fuzzface tones that he's known for. I can only wonder how this would sound with a plexi. You could probably get every tone off the woodstock cd. Voodoo Chile type tones are very easy to nail. This pedal is my favorite out of all I have. I'm becoming very very fond of Mike Milcetic's work. He's a great guy and he makes great pedals.

I haven't had it for longer then a couple weeks, but it's very sturdy and i'd trust it from the get go. The true bypass switch is very sturdy, the box has a good strong finish, it's a nice durable box also, and the chicken head knobs are locked on very firmly.

Wow, I don't know what to say other than that I was blown away. I've never talked to a guy that owns a buisness that is either so interested in talking to other guitarists, or just cares so much about his customers. Mike is willing to talk on the phone, answers e-mails nicely and courteously, and is very knowledgeable. I worked up a bill calling Canada with questions. The other day i was online and he was online reading mails, and in a string of an hour, we probably e-mailed back and fourth 4 or 5 times, now thats customer service. Him and Rob Hudson of Bluespearl are definently the two guys that I think are the best with customer service. They both love what they do obviously, they both are great at what they do, and they both have great customer service. Mike even says if your not satisfied or like the pedal, you can send it back in the first few days, little will do this either. If I could get a 20 for this, I would. This is above and beyond a 10.

I'm a blues/rock player. I love Jimi and Stevie. If this tone machine were stolen i'd be sending another money order to mike for another London Fuzz. I plan on getting another of his box's in a short time called the "blues devil", an exact replica of a TS-808 w/ the original chip and all, w/ true bypass, and tweaked for a little mor drive to get it over the top. I have no complaints with this pedal, it just flat out sounds awesome. Notes are fat, scream, sustain, and hold on nicely. It's just an overall explosive sound when soloing also. Like I said above, this is my favorite box now. If I didn't have one after this experience, I'd be crying because I wanted one again so bad. If anyone has questions feel free to e-mail me, I must warn you though, I'll try to think of all the things negative about it, but you won't get any responses cuz I won't be able to find any. The price is great too. Their so low because Mike is just starting out. They SHOULD go up. But regardless, get one.

I use the London Fuzz with a Telecaster Relic and a '64 Fender Vibroverb. I also use an Ibanez TS-808 and AD-80 pedals. It is not too noisy at all. I have heard fuzzes with much less gain than this one that have much, much more noise. This pedal seems to like all of my amps: Fender, Matchless, Harry Joyce, and Silvertone. I also have a Fender Blender, Z Vex Fuzz Factory, 2 Bosstones (orig and reissue), and a 60's Sam Ash Fuzzz Boxx. The London Fuzz just nails that 60's fuzztone. It is impossible to hook it up and not instantly feel that vibe. It drips with Neil Young, Hendrix, and Clapton from that era. It is not too muddy and not too bright. It is just right on the money.

I give it a 10 because it does what it is supposed to do. It just has that certain something that all the other Fuzz Face clone pedals can't. It is a new pedal that sound old. I compared it to Fullone fuzzes and many others out on the market today. All the others are very weak in comparison. If I lost it I would definitely replace it. It is not very often that you run across a pedal with this much tone.
