Ease of Use : 10
Easy to use and easy to great sounds out of this pedal. Simple level, tone and drive knobs. The manual/instruction leaflet is quite short, but there is not a lot to learn about this pedal anyway. Whatever blues or rock sound you want, you will find it somewhere here with these three controls. The true bypass is excellent and does not colour the sound in any way whatsoever.

Sound Quality : 10
Boutique sounds great at "bedroom" levels and also when used in front driving a valve amp at volume. Easily knocks my Marshall Guvnor for six! (and I've got three of them!). Very Tube like in sound. Can get a very warm and creamy sound.
After searching the web I found a sound clip at: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=684192
I have a variety of valve amps that I have used this pedal with: Marshall 6100 (30th Anniversary), Marshall Artiste 50 watt head (1971) and very early Carlsbro 50 Top. All through a Marshall 1936 2 x 12 cab with Vintage 30 speakers. Guitars I mainly use are Gibson Les Pauls.
This pedal easily gets Early Clapton and Gary Moore sounds.
It doesn't seem noisy at all, except if the gain is up full and the amp is at high volume, but then anything will give a bit of background noise at those levels.

This is certainly one of the best (if not the only) pedals to come out of China. This is not your typical Chinese rubbish that you see on Ebay (cheap and cheerful). This is a quality boutique pedal for much less than half the price of others in its class. Get one, you won't be dissappointed.

Reliability : 10
This thing is built like a tank. Solid metal box with a very sturdy stomp switch. Not much to go wrong here. I use it with a good 9 volt AC adapter and have no problems with reliability. I haven't gigged with it yet, but have used it for our rehearsals. Brilliant! I would certainly use this without a backup.
I have only owned it for a few months, but it looks to me like it will go on forever.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Customer support is only in China at the moment, however, the chap at Moen is very friendly and helpful. Had to contact him to find out where I could buy one from! (Had to get mine from Singapore!) He tells me that they are going to be available in the UK very soon! Haven't had to use support as yet though, so can't really comment.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing semi professionally for over 35 years, doing all sorts of music and styles. But I am now back to playing just the Blues and this pedal suits me to a tea!
I have owned lots of pedals in my time and sold far too many (and wish I hadn't!). Amps I have owned: Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Peavey, Vox, Carlsbro etc. etc. etc!
Guitars: Gibson Les Pauls. I went through a period of Strats, but eventually came back to Les Pauls. They are just great for Blues (for me anyway).
I love the variety of blues sounds I can get from this pedal. Hate nothing about it.
If mine went missing for any reason, yes I would try and get another straight away. I have come to depend on it!
If you can find any of the MOEN pedals, buy them! They are great value. Just keep looking on ebay as they will be available very soon I am told. Personally I can't wait, as I want to try the other pedals that they do! :-)

I was in China on a business trip about 2 months ago and saw these pedals in a store, thought they looked interesting and bought they're Delay, Chorus and Distortion. I'm going to review all of them.

This one has typical controls like most distortion pedals, simple 3 knob configuration.

Sound Quality : 7
When I tried it out in the store it sounded good, it took a few minutes to get a sound I liked, once I did, I thought it was a good distortion box. It doesn't sound like an overdrive at all, at least to me, it's more like a typical distortion, brown sound sort of thing. I thought this would be great to record with and use as a live pedal... But wait here comes the big let down.

Reliability : 1
A few days after I got home from my trip, I plugged it in for the very first time and I got a squealing noise for about 10 seconds then it die, it never worked again. Man it really ticked me off.

Customer Support : 1
I sent an emailed to Moen (3 times) with a detailed description of what happened. It took them 2 weeks to get back to me and when they did the guy told that it was my fault. I emailed back and said how can this be my fault, I just pugged it in. I never heard from him again.

Overall Rating : 1
A total waste of time, energy and money.
