The Commander is not an effect, but as this relates and this is the only posting position for Moen, I thought I would offer some insight here. The Commander is a great effect loop station where up to 3 of the 4 effect inputs can be selected, saved and then recalled with a single switch. There are 4 inputs/switches for effects (or series of effects) or other devices, so the options are very good for fast song switching/recording. You can also change these settings very quickly which comes in very useful as well. Also there is an overall db Boost feature on the Commander which is great for pumping up leads. Also features a silent tuner out mode for stage tuning. Comes with a manual, but getting the basics is very easy to set up and the rest is just refining your effects chain.

With alot of Loopers, switch engagement can cause a popping sound, especially if stacking Modulation effects like Delays, Chorus etc.
The Commander has no noticable pop sound when switches are engaged, switching is very smooth and is True Bypass throughout. Found no issue at all of any noise taking away for the performance. Some noise may be encountered in your setup if you have effects that are already prone to pop when engaged, so you have to work on the chain to find the combination that works the best. The Commander gets very high marks for ensuring these gremlins do not occur and now I absolutely count on it as the heart of my board.
Reliability

Have not had it long, but seems very well built. It does have an LED readout for selecting effect loops and I guess this option could go out sometime down the road, but it would still work without it, so not afraid of an over all failure or flameout. It comes with a one year warranty in place so all good from here.
Giving an 8 overall rating for the reliability, but hope it becomes a 10.

The US Distributor has been very good with answering questions and getting things shipped properly. I have purchased a lot of Moen and feel I have a company that will support me much better than most big market names, so totally happy thus far with responses from the company reps.

There is alot to like with the GEC Commander. Fully capable to add to your effects set up in a good way. It is not nearly as expensive as some Loopers out there, and a definite good buy for the low noise engagement, fast switching, db Booster and tuner option.
I would for sure buy this again... unless they build a new one :)
Moen has some great items and worth checking on.
