Three knobs-level, tone, and sustain. I have ran into a theramin sounding pitch when the sustain is cranked, which makes things kind of quirky. The pitch is tuneable by adjusting either the tone or sustain at this point. Not sure if this is a "function" all Fuzz Moos have in common, it can be a nuisance, or an added effect depending how you look at it.

Sound Quality : 9
I have been running a lot of single coils through this, and it sounds wonderful...I have been collecting a fair amount of fuzzes, and this has one of the better tones so far. I don't think it sounds a lot like a Big Muff though. The saw wave form is definetly not as sharp and jagged as a Muff, it is a much more smoothed out sustain. Which is really good, though if you're looking for an authentic Muff tone, this really won't go there I think. All around, this sounds much cleaner and brighter then a Muff, but not at all subdued.

Reliability : 5
The threaded jack inserts are made of plastic and both cracked very quickly. This means in order to plug cables in, there is the chance of them wiggling in their sockets, possibly causing damage long term. The seller informed me he will send me new inserts, but I wonder how long they will last. I was however using Planet Waves cables that have the spring casing, making an extremely tight fit, they may have helped the cracking.

The seller I bought them from is the one who deals with Moen.

Overall, incredible quality for the money. It sounds good sitting next to my boutique pedals, and other then Biyang, probably one of the only pedal makers in this price range that can pull that off. I will definetly look into their other pedals.

Very easy to get a good sound out of. Three knobs: Sustain, Volume and Tone. I think there is a manual, but it's minimal and you won't need it.

Sound Quality : 8
I'm using the Fuzz Moo with humbuckers and a Marshall-style master volume 50 watt amp, into 2x12s.

This is a Big Muff, essentially, so yes it is noisy, but no more so than any other Muff.

It sound really good. Especially for the $40 I paid for it. I a/b-ed it with a Skreddy Pink Flesh and it stood up. Do I prefer the Skreddy? Yes. Does the Fuzz Moo sound very good for $160 less? Yes.

Reliability : 5
The footswitch is touchy and doesn't always like to do what I tell it to do. That's a significant problem. I would not use the Fuzz Moo at a gig without a backup, but I will use it as my backup for the Skreddy Pink Flesh. Just in case.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealt with Moen yet. I may contact them to see if they'll replace the footswitch.

For $40, this is a really good sounding, Sovtek green-style muffy fuzz. I mean, it's really, really good for the price. And it has a cow on it. If the footswitch was consistent, I would have nothing but good things to say about it. If you're just getting into fuzz or need a backup, I would highly recommend the Fuzz Moo. If Moen gets their QC in order, I could see these becoming a sought after sleeper pedal.

This pedal right outta the box just kicks ass. I haven't tried too many fuzzes in my life but i know that for the money it doesn't get any better. The controls are as simple as can be. I plugged it. in set all the knobs to 12:00 and kicked it on. Bam! Nice thick sweet sounding analog fuzz. It's perfect for smooth solo tones or chugging power chords. Every setting sounds good and is very useful for me.There is a manual but i couldn't possibly figure out why you would need it.

Sound Quality : 9
I pretty much summed it all up in the previous category. However i am using a Traynor YVC 40 with the matching 12" ext. cab and this pedal just sounds nice and thick and smooth and crunchy all at the same time.I only give it a 9 because like i said i have only tried a few other fuzzez before. But to me none of them come close.

Reliability : 10
It is housed in an all steel box with metal switch and everything seems nice and tight including the wiring. I thinks i would be dependable but haven't gigged with it yet to know. I would however buy another one if it was ever misplaced. So it gets a 10 for now.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I bought it on eBay so i don't know about the customer service but from looking at their website they seem to be a kinda small but well put together company. So i guess i'll leave it at that.

Overall Rating : 10
I like it. I like it. And I like it. It sounds great, looks cool in that boutique-y,vintage kinda way. And it has true bypass and a solid metal housing. So i suggest getting one if you like fuzz. Even if you don't this pedal will probably turn you onto it.

I picked up the Moen FUZZ MOO along with some other Moen effects and this is pretty basic stuff with only Level, Sustain and Tone to contend with. The manual is not required, but they do have one. Very easy to get a working sound.

Sound Quality : 9
Every Moen effect I have tried has a lot of headroom. This one is no exception. It will really grab and hold sustain which I love. It is fuzzy but in an unprocessed way. When I place this with the Univibe,I got a very early Trower type sound. Very cool.I have learned to power with a 9v only on this pedal. Maybe just me, but the one spot I tried seemed to throw it off. I ma sure there are better wall warts that would work, I just don't have them. This is played through a older Fender 100wt amp which is kinda clean and the Fuzz Moo really comes through.

Reliability : 7
So far so good. They are metal enclosures and very sturdy on the outside. Switches and knobs seem ok too. I would bring it to a gig? sure. Would bring back up in case there might be issues and if the sound depended on it.

Customer Support : 6
I know there has been limited contact with Moen and some have said they are hard to get a hold of. My were purchased in the US and I feel I could get some kind of answer if required.
Still think this is more of start up company so I'm sure communication is still rocky.

Overall Rating : 8
Overall, great value! There is something that sets these apart from the others in this price range at least. I have not tried all types of pedals in the high end range, but these throw out some very decent tones. I would put it up against any companies lower or midrange product. It it were stolen,I would get another one. Moen has a pretty decent line of effects and I hope they can continue to grow and improve. Simply great for players of all levels somewhat on a buget.
