It has the 3 knobs that I think every chorus should have; rate, depth, and mix (or blend). Start throwing in things like width and other parameter controls and it's just too much work for a simple chorus. Gotta have a blend know though! No mystery to these controls whatsoever.

I play a Custom Shop Donahue Tele into either a BF of SF Vibrolux Reverb amp. My only other pedals are a Bad Bob and Homebrew compressor. I use a chorus less than 10% of the time and most often like it as a doubling effect. I had been through several pedals from mutts to pedigrees; Ibanez CF7, Digitech, Boss, VooDoo Lab, ChoralFlange, Red Twister, Biyang, Righteous Tones, Clone Theory RI. The weren't all bad, they just didn't do what I wanted. I like a more subtle chorus effect that truly is transparent with regard to volume and tone. The Righteous Tones came close but was actually too subtle. I loved the sound of the VooDoo Lab, but without the blend knob it was too much for me.
The Moen is not only a more subtle chorus effect but I find it to be extremely transparent, moreso than any of those I previously mentioned. I think one other reviewer mentioned how it sits nicely in the mix, not on top, alongside, whatever, and I'm in complete agreement with this. It blends with the band really well whether being used for rhythm or lead. I'll probably attribute this to the aforementioned transparent qualities. It covers everything from a subtle doubling or thickening to standard chorus to leslie simulation. Even at it's highest mix, however, don't expect it to lay these effects on by the truck load.
I think everyone could agree it's a nice sounding chorus, true of most that I listed. This one just happens to do what I want it to.

I've only had the box for several weeks, no problems, seem very well built. Time will tell.

I play a little bit of everything, but focus on country, rock, and jazz. I've been playing for (yikes!) almost 35 years. If it were lost or stolen I probably would buy it again. I love the AnalogMan Mini Chorus with the blend knob, but I just don't use chorus enough to justify the price. The Moen is a no-brainer price wise. It's an extremely musical effect that does what I want a chorus to do at a price that would be awfully tough to beat.

The Holy Choir is very easy to get a good sound from. Like other Chorus effects it can go from very watery to somewhat vibrato. To me, it doesn't seem to get in the way of what is being played,or simply laid on top of the sound but intergates nicely into the mix.
Comes with a small manual, mainly showing knob placement and suggested hook up, but it is not required to get the sound you would want from it.

I find the Holy Choir to set very well in the mix. The analog sounds produced are very nice for a box in it's price range. I usually just tweak until I get the sound I like and leave it that way for awhile. It does present very pleasing chorus tones. Like all the Moen effects, they seem to have a lot of headroom available for personal taste.

All Moen pedals are encased in a fairly large metal housing. The connections and switches seem fine as opposed to some plastic casing units I have encountered that you are almost afraid to step on.It appears road ready, but I would always have a back up somewhere.

As Moen is pretty new to the US, it may hard to get instant contact with them, but I certainly have talked with them with no problems at all.Other parts of the world maybe not. There is a warranty option in place and I believe they would stand by their product if a problem occured.

I play mostly rock and blues type of material. The Holy Choir can handle the passages where some shimmer is required handily. Again,it seems to sit in the mix quite well. There is a minor wall-wart problem due to the opening in the housing casing, but you can find one that works well and will not slip out. I took my One spot and shaved off a little of the plastic to get the connect to reach in more and that works well, but I usually run off a good 9V. I have had Boss products, even the CE-1 and this unit does a good job against all of them. Great value for the price! Moen seems to have a good line well within the price range of most players.

Sounded good at first and steadily got bad to the point is was unusable.
Like the other guy mentioned it sucked the tone right out of my signal.
Looks strong and well built but it's not.
