Ease of Use : 5
The setup wizard works. Lots of confusing stuff. Analog recording may have been slower, but it was easier. I eventually made good sounds with this.

Sound Quality : 10
Sound quality was good, but the computer makes so much noise! It's tuff to get good isolation without more money! I've considered building my own isolation rack for loud gear.

Reliability : 10
Yes, this is reliable but . . . This is only as reliable as the computer your using.

Customer Support : 1
Yes, they are friendly. But, they give MAC users Audiodesk and PC users nothing!!! They do not make it easy for second hand users (at this point a very large market) to get support. For instance can't get longer audiowire cables, PCI cards etc unless a registered user.
Even though I am a registered user they make me call up a serial number located on the back of a nearly unaccessible unit. Don't they keep records? Why sould this matter anyways? There must be tons of unsupported users by now! Just look at Ebay! You should consider the poor resale value of your investment in this equipment. MOTU could make secondary market more appealing so that buyers of new products will get more for their money!

Overall Rating : 6
I have been playing music and using computers for a number of years. Computers are great for emails and getting odd information. Not so great for music, but keeping costs down is important too. If music is your focus, let someone else record you! I would replace this if it was stolen, but I wouldn't pay over $400 for it!
