They sound great. They're easy to use, easy to hook up. I don't have a manual for mine, however, I do know where to get one. My units (3) are stock. I bought my first one new in Nashville in 1981, and the others used along the way.

I use mine for vocals, although they're also great for guitars and other instruments. It can be noisy. I sometimes work concerts as an opening act and the soundman has had trouble hooking up my unit without any noise. We usually get the job done however.

I've had no breakdowns of any of my units and have owned 2 of them for over 20 years.

MXR service went out of business years ago. I did have a Company out of an upstate NY town did the service or would sell me switches for the footswitch. I believe the name of the company was Kelsey - Pape Engineering or something like that. I'd like to know who services them now if anyone should know.

I'm a POP musician. The unit works well for my routine and I don't like being with out it. I currently have 3 units but only one display. I would like to buy 2 more displays. If I could make any change to the operation of the units, it would be to have individual channel effects controls. It would be nice to have different levels of regeneration and mix on each channel, rather than the one setting for all 4 channels. I would like to correspond with other owners.

Very easy to use after I got used to the pedal. The manual helped me a lot to get used to doing doing vocal harmony.

I use it with my microphone into my P.A. system. It has almost no noise added, and the effects are great. Since I use it for vocal and have since September of 1981, the only effects I use are the 3rd and 4th part harmony.

20 years later and still works great, I guess that answers that question on reliability. Yes I used it for twenty years without a backup. Recently I bought three more but need a display unit and footswitch. Would trade one for a good display and switch.

Years ago I called to get switches for the footswitch and was forwarded to some other repair place and the sent me switches and a drawing of how to hook them up.

I play country music and some original music. I've been playin twenty three years. And often wondered doing a single act or using it for harmony when no one else in the band sings how I would survive, but now I have backups.
