Ease of Use : 10
slide the sliders up or down, find that annoying buzz and cut that sucker out, then adjust the master volume to match when bypassed, if you cant work a 31 band eq than you are stuck with 3 knobs

Sound Quality : 10
HOLY $#@!,,, !!!
What setup (i.e. what guitars and amps) are you using this with?
its on my effects loop of my rexx rack amp, made that amp sound rich and full almost in comparison to a tube amp,
i have a kerry king wartribe, modified ibanez, and a jackson with 81/85 emg's

Is it noisy? On what settings?
if you put too much gain through it it makes alot of background hum/fuzz/crap noise, but works fine when not clipping out

Are the effects weak or do they always sound great?
as for effect: it can make any amp sound better
i use the 40hz lowpass (cut) to get rid of sounds that my guitar doesnt make

What amp are you using it with?
rexx rack mount

Reliability : 10
replaced power cable, and cleaned up the paint off of grounding point

Customer Support : No Opinion
old... old... old...and pawn shop beaten on with many scratches and dents: still works like a dream

Overall Rating : 10
What style of music do you play? Is this a good match?
metal, blues, classical, whatever

If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else?
i would cry, cause i aint seen another for sale, and dont wanna spend 500+ on a comparable eq

what do you love about it? What do you hate? What is your favorite feature?
love: the eq performs better/easier to use than my cars audio-control eqt's ENOUGH SAID, hate: no bypass footswitch (have to make your own), favorite feature: all 31 bands and the volume slider and the 40/80hz low pass cut also kicks ass -all around kick ass!

Did you compare it to other products? Which ones? Why did you choose this one?
have to spend a ton of money on a decent 31band eq to equal this rig

Anything you wish it had?
footswitch bypass

Does it help you make music, or does it get in the way?
helps? gawd it makes my day everytime i play

Anything else you'd like to share?
i want another one, hmm make that 3 or 4 more

A snap to adjust! 31 bands 20-20K with level control +/- 10 also has eq in/out button for bypass.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it as a post pre amp eq. I can adjust anything in or out. a thousand times better than parametric! Great visual of frequecy curve, Each slider is very responsive within it's +/- 10 boost or cut.
I use an audio switcher to bypass if not used, but there is no change in sound with onboard in/out switch either. May very well me wired true bypass. The eq fuction colors the sound but does not add any unwanted change to your tone

Reliability : 10
It is old, but It's original MXR.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I wish they still made gear like the original MXR stuff. No longer in business. Jim Dulop

+10 gain -10 cut, 20-20k frequency range. look for one this large today! Good luck. If it were stolen I would be bummed, but I would surely be looking for another. If you can find one for a good price grab it!
