Easy if you know the use of modulation FX. Only two knobs instead of the 4 that were on my Boss Ch-1 (which this has replaced- but the CH-1 is a beautiful sounding, lush and under-rated chorus).

Ok, everyone everywhere has commented on how noisy this pedal is, and I know it will never score a 10 for sound quality. BUT every other aspect of how this pedal sounds compensates for the noise (IMHO). I use it as a stereo splitter, because I don't actually like any chorus tone. With the depth up high and the rate low, it is absolutely perfect.
If you want a chorus to warble, do not get this.
I'm using various Fenders with a heap of FX (mostly MXR and Boss) to two amp in stereo- a Fender Super 210 all-tube combo and a Vox Cambridge 30R.

I think I could depend on it, but it seems pretty flimsy. And how's this: to engage the effect, you push the pedal and it kicks in instantaneously but when you turn it off, you have to depress the pedal and let it release before the sound goes back to normal. Weird.

Not since Uncle Jim Dunlop took over. Utterly appalling.

Very easy to use. It has 2 knobs. Speed and Depth. One input and one output. One socket for external power. Mine came with a manual which I did not need.

This is a noisy pedal. Hsssssssssssss. The amount of hiss is directly related to how far up you turn the Depth knob. With the depth knob all the way coutner clockwise, there is no noise. Turn it all the way to the right, and the amount of hiss relative to the amount of sound from the guitar renders the pedal unusable. You have to have a trade off between how much Depth you want, and how much hiss you are willing to tolerate. I have mine at about halfway. The Speed control goes from having a very subtle modulation all the way through to a very fast spacey wobble at full speed. I have mine set about half way. the chorus effect itself is ok. It's not going to amaze anyone with its warmth, but it adds a bit of drama to clean strummed chords, and some slow bluesy lead work. I've not decided whether I'll keep this pedal in my rig or not. If I find it too noisy, you'll find it on Ebay. I think the name of this pedal is a little disingenuous. How can something with only one output be Stereo? Although the chorus effect is fine, I can't score this anymore than 5 because of the hiss. It's too noisy to record with, but OK for gigging.

Althogh I only just bought it, my pedal is clearly quite old, possibly from the mid 80s. It certainly looks that way with the black case and the green print. It still works, so I guess the reliability must be pretty good! Having said that, the case and knobs are cleap and plastic and feel pretty delicate. I always think that the reliability of a pedal is related to how it is treated. Mine seems to have been treated nicely (it even came with an original box, which tells you something about the previous owner.) and it still works. I would not bother getting a back up. If it did clap out on me at a gig, I'd just pull it out of the chain and do without it.

I bought this pedal for #7 from Cash Converters. (A kind of pawn brokers.) For that I got the pedal, the original box, and the original manual, which looks like it had never been unfolded. I figured that I'd buy it and if I didn't like it or it was rubbish, I'd ebay it. It's still in it's trial period, but it might just survice. I'm not a big Chorus user, but it's nice sometimes.
The only annoying thing about this pedal apart from the hiss is that the socket for the external power supply is a non standard size. (By non standard, I mean it does not accept Boss power supplies.) I'll have to stick to 9V batteries for this one. I couldn't recommend this pedal, but for #7 I couldn't go wrong really. If you want a good solid reliable quiet chorus you're probably best off with something like a Boss rather than this.

it sounds really good for what it is and for what i paid for it. it has a really nice tone and is just right for sweetening up my amp when i need it to. i really am amazed though, the circut sounds similar to the more expensive MXR chouses that they sell now.

i can definately depend on it although, in a live setting i very rarely use any effects except my hughes and kettner warp factor to boost my amp. the only songs that i would need this for live are some of the intros to songs by damageplan.
i personally do not think the plastic makes a difference, i would prefer it to be metal. but think, if you treat your stuff well, when was the last time you broke something made out of a very hard plastic?
this would definately break if you ran it over, but so would any other metal pedal. and your foot would definately not break it (not even my size 13)

It's very easy to use, having only two knobs, Speed and Depth. Even though it would be nice to have, a manual is not needed.

I'm using this pedal, Rate(10) and Speed(10) in conjunction with a Fender Telecaster Nashville edition, in front of a Peavey musician 400 amp, gain on 10. From the Peavey the preamped signal is then routed to a 10" speaker cab, which is heavily wrapped with carpet foam. This complex set-up is one way to get the exclusive chorused sound that Korn uses on Freak On A Leash. This Chorus has many other applications as well. It can be used for soft jazz to grunge rock. Though sounding great, it's unfortunately one noisy bastard.

I never had to depend upon it, but if I did I definetly could. It only crapped out once for me, because a wired came loose, but that's about it.

It's a good match with the heavy metal style I've adopted. You can also get some great Stevie Ray Vaughn type sounds with it too. If it was stolen I probably wouldn't find another one. My favorite feature is both the Depth and Chorus on 10. I believe it helps the music process.
