This pedal is a breeze to use. Three knobs, one footswitch. This provides the same effect as if you turned on a wah pedal and kept it set at one place. In other words, you set the 'wah' where you want the sound and use the footswitch to turn it on/off.

I'm using primarily a Music Man Axis and a Fender Strat along with a Tech 21 PSA-1, Eventide Time Factor into a Tech 21 Power Engine 60. This pedal is just killer. You can totally create a tone to punch through the mix with this pedal. I love the nasally, midrange tone this can create. You could even set this up to use as a distortion shaping tool instead of just for short uses (like solos). It creates enough of a midrange breakup to provide that metally, "zzhhhuunnggg" sound instead of a tight focused distortion sound (i.e. Vai). I hope that made sense.
The controls have plenty of range to provide many different sounds. You can dial in any frequency, depending on what sound you are trying to hit.

It is what it is. Nothing super fancy. Just a fixed wah pedal. For $99, totally worth it.
