Sockets are too close together, otherwise you stomp on the switch and that's it.

It's a loop selector so it's not going to affect the sound is it, right? Wrong! I don't know if it's because they didn't make Carling DPDT switches in those days but this unit only switches the returns of the loops. I had it switching my vintage Hendrix set up and could still hear the Fuzz Face. So if you're getting one of these, prpare to make it unoriginal by ripping out the switch, disconnecting all of the useless resistors and rewiring it. Otherwise it's useless. The other nag is that if you want it to switch a single loop (I use it to switch a BCB6 full of Boss pedals for true bypass)you will need to put a cable between one set of send and returns as there is no automatic shorting of the loop if nothing is plugged in. Set up as I have done and you will hear a vast difference between this natural sound and any of the Boss switches, PSM5, LS2 etc. etc.

I was horrified about the wiring when I got it from the US but after rewiring I think it's great. When the next BCB6G arrives I wil be able to put in a one of the slots for quite a neat (and completely over the top) set up. Although it's been messed with you can't tell and for me is infinitely better than putting some obviously home made piece of crap in your collection.
