Ease of Use : 9
Very straight forward. If it had a tap function, it would be a 10. I love the brightness of the blue LEDS, for I find them extremely easy to see.

Sound Quality : 10
Before I purchased the Carbon Copy, I played through all the main Digital delays, and some of the other analog delays, like the Ibanez and the Maxim. For one, I will never go back to playing a Digital Delay, because the sound and subtle differences make them sound like a pinball effect as opposed to somehing organic. The 169 is incredible. The Memory Man sounds great also, and has more features, but is twice the price and 3 times the size. In reality, for stage playing, you need a pedal that sounds great and is on/off with one setting, so tweak this in the way you like, and enjoy.

I play numerous guitars, full archtop hollowbodies, semihollows, and a PRS, but primarily my Strat.
Strat-delay-EH chorus-ts9-deluxe reverb. Obviously I am quiet picky, for I have owned at least 50 different pedals and this one is a keeper.

For pure sound, get this pedal. For more whistles and bells and less true sound, get the Boss DD. Then come back and get the real thing.

Reliability : 10
Its an MXR. Its a brick. I have never had an issue with an MXR pedal, and have owned numerous. They are all built to last. Decent pots, decent switch, tough little box.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never needed them. I've had MXR peadls since I started playing in the early 80's. I'll have to break one first.

Overall Rating : 10
I play a very wide range of music, and have a fairly large collection of equipment that has developed over the passed 25+years. The only thing that I find with all effects is that the analog gives a purer and truer tone, feel, and sound. They are not as versitile as the Digital stuf available today, but they ARE REAL.
The MXR M169 is quite remarkable for the price. Delays are expensive, and this one is on the lower end of the price range, and on the high end for quality and WOW it sounds great.

It's pretty doggone easy. You got three nobs and a button. The mix controls the "wetness," or how loud the delay is relative to the original note. "Regen" is feedback, or how many times it echoes. "Delay" is speed. "Mod" gives it a vaguely chorus-y shimmer, and it's either on or off. Moving on.

Sound Quality : 10
The setup: I've got an Ibanez RG 570 Floyd Rose and an Epi Les Paul Custom. They run into a 1961 Ampeg M-15 tube amp.

When I bought my first delay pedal, the ever-versatile Boss DD-6, I thought I was done with delay, that would be it for life. Hahaha then I played this in the store and had to screw my jaw back on afterwards. Surprisingly, analog delay sounds WAY BETTER than digi. I compared this to one of similar price, the Tech 21 D.L.A. pedal, and while the Tech is more versatile I slightly preferred this one's tone. The Tech sounded more overbearing by comparison. The Carbon Copy, by contrast, sounds BEAUTIFUL. And while the "mod" sounds limiting (either on or off, no control of the effect), it really isn't, because it sounds really good either with or without it, and each option gives a distinct tone that offers a lot of possibilities. I'd rather have a pedal that does a few things well (the Carbon Copy) than one that does a bunch of things less well (the DD-6).

Sidenote: if you like the "boost" option on the Tech 21 delay pedal for solos, one option is to pair the MXR Carbon Copy with the Tech 21 REVERB pedal, which has the same boost function. Then you can get the Carbon Copy's crystal clear tone plus a sweet pedal oomph for your lead. This is what I did and it sounds terrific.

Reliability : 8
I generally hear good things about the MXRs for durability. It has a nice warrantee. It's built very sturdily, and very compact, which is nice. I am a little worried about the mod switch, which appears to be plastic. And my "regen" nob still feels like it's got some company wax on it and doesn't turn quite as easily as the others.

Still, I feel pretty safe, and no I wouldn't feel the need to bring a backup to a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't used it.

Overall Rating : 10
I play alternative/electrorock kinda stuff, influenced by Beck and Talking Heads, the Police, Elbow, etc., but I like glassy cascading leads like those that U2 and Coldplay employ, and the MXR nails its end of the bargain.

I'm not saying it's the best delay pedal that exists, though a more knowing pedalhead could make that argument. It doesn't have the versatility of, say, the Boss (no reverse delay or tap modes or anything like that). All I'm saying is that it's the best I'VE heard. I played this for 15 minutes in a store, went home and posted my DD-6 on craigslist to sell, because I knew I could never use it again. From this delay-loving fool, the Carbon Copy comes highly, highly recommended.

This is an update to an earlier review. My Carbon Copy went dead with just a few hours of play time on it. I tried to return the pedal but the store did not have anymore in stock to swap. So I opted to send the pedal to MXR for a repair.

Ironically, about the time that the pedal arrived at MXR I received an email from one of the manufacturing managers at Dunlop/MXR. He said that he read my review on here about the dead pedal and wanted to know if he could be of any assistance. Once I told him that my pedal should be in their shop he gave me daily emails about its status. Within a few days I had the pedal back (along with a large bag of my favorite picks) and the pedal seems to be working just fine now.

So my hat is off to MXR. The pedal should have never failed with just a few hours on it, but Dunlop was on the ball and took care of me and got the pedal back in a very timely fashion.

Hopefully this issue is behind me and I can enjoy this sweet sounding delay for years to come. It truly is a fantastic sounding delay and a really great price.

I reviewed this pedal a few months ago, and still think it's great. I just wanted to comment on the "true bypass or not" controversy. The pedal does have a true bypass switch, for sure. To confirm true bypass with any pedal, bypass the effect, then disconnect the power supply. If the effect is true bypass, your signal will still reach the amp. If the pedal isn't true bypass, disconnecting the power supply will kill the signal to the amp.

Very easy to use. 3 knobs: Regen sets the number of repeats, Delay the time between them, and Mix the wet/dry signal ratio. The Mod button adds some modulation which can be further tweaked with two internal trim pots. I've kept the trim pots at the factory setting for a moderate level of modulation. The blue led looks cool. The blue mod button stays lit when engaged even if the unit is off/bypassed which is a minor annoyance.

Sound Quality : 9
I use this with a Hohner Clavinet D6. The chain is Clavinet->EHX Micro Q-Tron->MXR Dyna Comp->Dunlop Cry Baby->MXR Carbon Copy->Rocktron Hush->Fender Blues Junior. The Carbon Copy works very well with the Clav, allowing me to get a real nice, warm harpsichord-like sound that just wasn't happening with the DD-6 it replaced (Regen at around minimum, Mix at half, Delay at around 2 o'clock, Mod button engaged, Clav using treble pickup only). One example of this kind of Clav sound would be in the middle of the organ solo in Boston's Smokin'. The unit seems very quiet.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had it very long yet, so the jury is still out. But I have alot of other Dunlop/MXR pedals and they haven't failed me yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with the company.

Overall Rating : 10
This unit does exactly what I wanted it to do for my Clavinet and at a reasonable price as far as analog delays go. It complements the Clav's analog tone nicely, whereas the DD-6 seemed to sterilize it.
I'm pleased.

Very simple, three knobs. One modulation button, and of course the stomp switch.

Sound Quality : 9
I think the pedal sounded great. I wasn't looking for delays that went on an on - just some nice warm slapback and maybe a little more. The pedal fit the bill perfectly for what I was looking for.

Reliability : 2
And here lies the problem! Of course I have read on here and other places about the REGEN knob problem. Low and behold, instead of that being an issue the pedal just died! Yep, it lasted about 18 days and now the pedal is DEAD! The little modulation light was lit up, but the main LED won't turn on, and when it should be on there is a slightly audible signal. When I turn the pedal 'off/bypass' the signal comes on through fine.
<p>
Tried a few different power supplies and a battery... still dead.
<p>
Left a message to the place I bought it from, so hopefully I'll get a call tomorrow for an RMA. Supposed to have 30 days to return it. It doesn't look like they have anymore MXRs in stock for a replacement, so I may be going AD-9. Not really sure I want another MXR actually, even though I thought it sounded wonderful!

Customer Support : No Opinion
MXR shouldn't be in the mix. The pedal is still under 30 days, so we will see if the merchant will come through for me.

Overall Rating : 3
When it worked, it shined (and looked sharp too!) But there is no excuse for it only lasting 18 days... and with my work schedule that is probably only a total of 5 to 6 hours of actual play time! Not acceptable.

This pedal is super easy to use. 3 knobs and two user controlled trimpots that adjust the speed and width of modulation.

Sound Quality : 10
The warmest delay out there and whisper quiet. I use a Mexican Fender with single coils run thru a Fender DeVille. Nothing compares to true analog warmth, and the pedal is true bypass to boot! There are a bunch of trimpots inside, so I called their tech support to see what they were for. The tech guy told me that they were all set at the factory and should not be adjusted by the user, except for the two big ones that are used to control the modulation width and speed.

Haven't had any problems with mine

This is one of the easiest pedals in the world to use. I think a small child could use this and still get great sound.

Sound Quality : 10
Fist of all I have to say that the SMOKEPOT review was ignorant at best! He must be smoking too much of the Ganja to really know what he is doing or hearing! Sueing Jeorge Tripps is he for real? Jeorge trips pedals are the bomb and I have been a long time user of them. I will also buy the ones he makes with Dunlop. Try buying his pedals on ebay and you will have to take out a loan to get one in pristine condition. This is because he made so few of each of them. He also recommends pedals that are POS! He states in his review that he has always been an ANTI-MXR. So what should we expect from a guy named SMOKEPOT but a bunch of BS! My pedal worked great and sounded great. On the mod button there was barely any difference when activated but I called Dunlop on that and they talked me through the trim pot adjustment on the back to dial in a sweeter sound. What the hell trim pot were you adjusting SMOKEPOT and did you even bother to call Dunlop before writing all your ignorance in a review!

Reliability : 10
This is my tenth MXR pedal owned and on my pedal board and I swear by them. By the way SMOKEPOT I am in a real band that makes real money so my audiences enjoy them also. Unlike you playing out of you mom's garage irratating the neighbors with your shrieks ahd shrills for sounds! These things are built like a M1A Tank! An Iraq Scud Missile could not harm this thing. After a nuclear war all that will be left is the coackroaches (Like SMOKEPOT), that antz and MXR effect pedals.

Customer Support : 10
I called them and in phonecall spoke to a guy that helped me right away with my trim pot adjustment. Hey SMOKEPOT tech people are available at Dunlop to help you all you have to do is pick-up the phone and call them! What's wrong do not know how to use a phone yet?

I would buy 2 of these if I thought I needed and extra one but I don't and plan on keeping this one forever!!!!

This delay is pretty easy to set up and dial in. After about an hour with this pedal you can easily get the feel of the delay time knob. The mod light stays lit even when the pedal is by-passed is my only complaint. On a dark stage you could easily think you had the pedal on.

The pedal is small but heavy. It feels very solid.

Sound Quality : 10
First and most important this pedal preserves your dry tone. If you have a nice sounding amp and want a delay that doesn't mush up your sound this MXR is worth a look. Additionally the volume does not change while engaged and there is no AC hum at least with my rig.

The echo is very organic and natural sounding. It can get a little dark when pushed to the 600MS mark but still sounds very good. It can actually be a little bright when set for a quick slap back.

The modulation is subtle but a nice touch. Its noticeable enough to create a shimmer or vibe to your tone. I like it a lot and leave it on most of the time. The trim pots will allow for a more intense warble if desired. I turned mine up for awhile but then returned it to the stock settings.

easy to use. I'll admit it. It's a 3-knob delay. A monkey could figure this one out

Sound Quality : 1
This is where I must ask: "ARE you people INSANE????". This is the worste sounding analog delay I have EVER EVER EVER heard. The repeats sound like you have a pillow over the amp and can barly hear them. I understand you want an analog delay to be "warm", but you kind of need to hear them too. I sent my frist one back thinking perhaps I got a bunk unit, but, no. Same problem with the second one. You just can not hear the repeats. not to mention the "mod" button does absolutely NOTHING! I even messed with the trim pots inside to no avail. I have ALWAYS been VERY anti MXR but I am on Jeorge tripps' special mailing lists and I got a sound sample of this thing that sounded just like his Aquapuss, and if I was a lawyer, I woul actually sue him for misrepresentation. i can guarentee you that the pedal used to make the sound sample I got in my email box was DEFINITELY not a production line "Carbon Copy".
Nice try guys. Sady, the HUGE 1-page ads in Vintage Guitar Magazine re going to make you guys a small fortune and I see you have greased at least one cover interview player to mention it in the interview, but PLEASE....folks, I own EVERY analog delay EVER made. The Aquapuss is argueably the best ever the AD-80 being a close 2nd. For longer delays that Maxon AD-900 can't be beat, and I'm still not convinced about these hybrid analog/digitals. I personally use a few delays on stage at once. This piece of crap is going back up on ebay at the next chance I get. DO NOT waste your money or time. I got suckered by the email demo, otherwise I would have chaulked it up for what it really is: another dunlop made in Maylasia piece of crap. I will never spend another DIME on any Dunlop product aslong as I live.

jazzy/extended solos....jam-band, I guess. Stuff that calls for a really cool and tripped out delay. This one might be good for a flash-light because the LED is nice and bright. Unbelievable. I just spent a 1/2 hour warning you guys.....please, trust me, I KNOW....spend the extra $100 and buy a used AD-80 on Ebay. I could NOT get 600ms out of this thing anyways. If you need 600ms, buy a Maxon AD999 and get something that at least they can be proud of. This here is a complete scam and Jeorge tripps ought to be ashamed because he is brilliant and he knows better. One of the brightest minds in the effects world and he has sold out. Good work Mr. huge.

Three knobs: Mix, Regen & Delay. Doesn't get much easier than that. The settings in the instructions aren't exactly accurate (the setting they show for a slap delay with just cause crazy self-oscillation; turn the delay up to 9:00 instead to get it to work properly), but it's still fairly idiot-proof.

Sound Quality : 9
Gorgeous, lush analog delay. If you've only used digital delays in the past (i.e. Boss DD's, etc.), you will be very pleasantly surprised. The delay goes up the 600ms, so you can run the full gambit from simple slap delay to really spacey, Floydian type delays.

Also, for you experimental music fans out there, the self-oscillation is amazing. I could do an entire live set with just a couple keys on an analog synth and a Carbon Copy. Get for spacey ambient drone type of stuff.

There's a lot of dispute as to whether this is a "true bypass" pedal or not, but I can say that I don't notice any kind of tone sucking at all. If it's not true bypass, it's pretty darn close.

Reliability : 10
Works great for me so far. I've heard a lot about issues with the Regen, but mine worked fine right out of the box. Small but very solidly built; I'd have no fears letting one of my harsh noise friends borrow it for a show & beat the heck out it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had a need yet....hopefully never will.

Overall Rating : 10
Just an overall great pedal. I went to the music shop with my heart set on a Boss RE-20 Space Echo, but after playing these side-by-side, I just fell in love with the Carbon Copy (they are very different pedals though, and I still may pick up the RE-20 someday).

For a true bucket brigade analog delay with modulation, the $150 sticke price is an incredible deal. Pick one of these up before they're discontinued and become yet another overprice eBay collector's item.

The thing I love about MXR pedals is their simplicity. The fewer knobs, the quicker you can get to the point. I can understand why some might find the labeling confusing, but after twiddling with the knobs for 30 seconds, you'll soon figure this pedal out. After half an hour of playing, it felt like I had owned the pedal forever.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
Warm, syrupy, wonderful analog! I'm using a heavily modified Squier Bullet with a Seymour Duncan humbucker through a 4X10 Fender Hot Rod Deville tube amp and getting great results. Switching is quiet and there is no apparent noise when deactivated. The pedal has enough range to achieve an almost unlimited number of settings from a tight slap-back to infinate repeats.

PLUS, this pedal will make some really awesome sounds on it's own if you crank the knobs to the max. Once it starts to feedback and ocsillate you can go wild with the Regen and Delay knobs for a sound like an Atari on acid. I haven't even tweaked the trim pot for the mod control yet...sounds crazy right out of the box. Great for an impromptu wild noise solo or just plain psycedellic madness!

Reliability : 5
What a shame...like some other reviewers experienced, my Regen knob did not work out of the box. However, the second one has given me no problems. Seems like this is a trend...a bad batch of Regen pots from the factory. Undoubtedly this will work itself out in newer waves of shipments, but it is dissapointing to have to deal with at all. MXR still rates a 5 because my Phase 90 has never let me down, my second CC is holding up, and both pedals are built like tanks with excellent switches that should hold up for years.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Can't say...I always prefer to deal with the shop.

Overall Rating : 10
I'll give it a 10 assuming that future shipments of Carbon Copy pedals will work out the Regen pot glitch. This pedal is well worth the money (which isn't a lot compared to other delay choices on the market) and if you're a tube-amp lover and analog devotee, this is your best choice hands down. But with the incredible range and surprising versatility of the CC, any player looking for a great delay will likely get the sounds they want (and even a few surprises) out of this unit.

I love that the CC is so simple...too many knobs and switches get in the way and this pedal gets right to the point: How many repeats to you want, how loud should they be and how far apart would you like them? Biff, bang, pow! You're set in no time. Also, as with other MXR fare, the pedal is super small and will not crowd your pedal board (just be sure to test it before you slap the velcro on the back!)

Without a doubt I'd replace the unit if lost or stolen, although I wish the blue LED's were just a little less intense (if left on, the MOD light will stay lit even when the effect is bypassed), although it means you'll never have trouble finding it in the dark.

Very easy pedal to use and set up. There are no presets, but it's very easy to dial in good sounds. The manual is simple and straight-forward, but if you know how a delay works, it's easy to figure out.

I play various Strats and Les Pauls into a Koch Multitone combo. I have this pedal in the parallel effects loop of the amp with the CC's mix set to full clockwise. I control the mix from my amp's controls. This configuration is incredibly clear and clean. The delays are very natural and musical sounding. I am heavily influenced by the guitar greats of the 70's and this pedal really adds a nice vintage sonic vibe to my playing.

I've tried the Deluxe Memory man, which is really nice. I didn't try them side by side, but this sounds as good (from memory), is 1/8th of the size, and 1/2 the price.

It's pretty much a no-brainer to use. You just need to realize that the function names below the knobs are different from what you might expect.

I understand that the Modulation can be adjusted by removing the back plate and accessing the Modulation Ports or Pots or what ever they are called. This was not mentioned in the manual but rater a post online. For this reason I am giving it a 9.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm a product of an analog world and cut my teeth on the guitar in the '70's. As a result I am a little partial to the analog sound. Dont' get me wrong, I've got a boat-load of digital EFX. It's just when it comes to Delay I like analog and the MXR certianly hits the mark. Then again, it's a sound you either like or don't like. If you grew up on what is now termed "Classic Rock" then you will like this pedal.

Reliability : 2
Sigh.... Well, like the reviewer before me I too was dissapointed to find that the pedal did not work correctly. This one also had the problem with the Regen function. I took it back and exchanged it for one that worked. So far. This is my first MXR box so right out of the blocks their reputation for making a quality product is not good. I know this is a new pedal but "bugs" need to be worked out at the factory not in the consumer's home. I'm giving this a 2 only because I am giving them the befifit of the doubt.

Its got 3 knobs which set the level, the length of the repeat and the number of repeats. There is also a modulation switch which will bring in a pitch shifting effect, the modulation is adjustable via 2 internal pots. You have to set up your favorite delay and then set the modulation by taking the back off and placing around with the internal pots whilst the effect is switched on, the idea is that you set up the modulation to your taste and then close the pedal up and leave it.

Sound Quality : 7
It sounds like a typical warn analog delay with warm repeats upto 600ms in length. It will go into self oscilation if you max out the repeats knob. The modulation adds a nice chorous type effect if set up correctly.

Reliability : 1
This is where it all goes wrong. I don't know what it is about MXR and Dunlop but in my experience they are the most unreliable brand out there. I've owned a Zakk Wylde overdrive, a 535Q wah, a phase 90 and this delay and everything except the phase 90 has either not worked when first used or stopped working after a couple of weeks. In this case the delay would only give out one repeat except when maxed out, then it would oscillate. Then the modulation stopped working after 5 minutes. I looked in the back and the PCB is a mass produced item with lots of those small oblong resistors and doesnt look very strong. I guess its the only way to get all that functionality into a small box at a resonable price but its still no excuse for faulty goods.

Don't know, never asked them a question. I just sent this back to the shop.

Probably sounds good but very unreliable as usual. I've used cheap Chinese stuff thats been far more reliable than this at a fraction of the price. I hope the rest of you have better luck than me and if Dunlop are reading this then you SERIOUSLY need to sort out your quality proceedures.

Really a 10, but the names are goofy on two of the 3 knobs and it's aggravating me until I memorize the positions. I know they are trying to be traditonal, but since this is not a reissue pedal, it would have been nice if they used normal names like delay time and repeat. When adusting, I have to pause and reason it out as follows, "ok, regen means regenerate, so that must refer to the number of repeats. Delay, delay what? level, time?? well, they already have a mix choice, so by process of elimination delay must mean the delay time." What a weenie! (you just said out loud), but I'll bet you I'm not the only one that had to figure it out in that fashion. Time, Level, Repeat would make more sense.

Another annoyance is the LED, actually both LEDs, when standing over it it's blinding and you can't see nothing. It's like staring into a flash bulb and getting the blue dot stuck in your vision. I will try a sharpie to

Very good, this should remain a keeper. I notice a real beauty in the sound when it's on. Regarding the true bypass issue, it's a moot point for me I leave delay on all the time, what I would like to do is get the MXR rubber knobber so you can turn it with your foot, and "bypass" for me would be turning the mix level down very low. True bypass is unneceesary and rarely used if the pedal is on all the time. However, their claim that it's true bypass is not in line with what is popular in the effect world. It is a DPDT switch with LED in used in the circuit. They can say true bypass, because the phrase is somewhat empty.

So far so good.

Got a prompt, honest reply from tech sup when I asked for the brand of the bypass switch and it's type, which is an Alpha DPDT.

I had a Maxon AD-900 that I was not blown away with. It was the sterile of analog AFAIC. I opted out of that because of the larger footprint and odd power requirement. For a year I used a nameless analog "voiced" DD that some maker got the design from the DIY forums. Honestly, it wasn't a bad pedal for the price. It did sound like a tape echo but with a really worn out tape in it. But back to the CC, it can grab DM-2 sounds, and you have the modulation feature.

I'm wondering if Keeley or Analog Man will have any upgrades for it in the near future, expression pedal outs, atleast. The CC is still a mass produced product, and even if the designers have cool ideas, some MBA will change certain componenents to some cheap-*** **** just before it goes out so he can have both a higher bonus and stock options for cutting cost.

Really easy to use! The knobs a mod switch and 2 internal trim pots. Manual doesnt provide much info (MXR pedals never do!) just 3 sample settings.

I have never used an analog delay pedal before for an extended period of time. I did play around with the AD-9 at the local music store but it didnt have enough delay time 300ms. I thought the AD-9 sounded very clean. The Carbon Copy is dark sounding and the repeats are not very loud even at full mix level. I didnt care how the repeats dropped off so quickly even with the Regen knob set well past 12 o'clock. I couldnt notice a different when engaging the Mod button. The Mod button was also sticking in the half way position I would put it on then put it off and when I tried to engage it again it wouldnt go down, it would just keep popping up. I had to wiggle the switch to get it to work. I did try adjusting the trim pots inside but it didnt do anything. And one thing I did notice is that when the sound was repeated I was picking up static on the repeats. Its almost like a noise gate was being used. When the notes repeated you would hear the static then it would drop off with each repeating delay and then stop when no sound was being played. I tried to diff amps 1 solid state and 1 tube, made no difference. Tried my SG then my Strat, no difference. This was without any pedals in line. When I added it at the end of my pedal chain it still was happening.
I wished that the repeats were a little louder or if it came with a volume knob that would be even better. One thing I did notice when comparing it with my DigiDelay is that the CC sounded warmer and not as sterile.

I love MXR pedals and currently own 6 of their pedals. I have the new 74 Reissue Phase 90 with is just killer!! MXR pedals are reliable but I think I got one that was a little out of whack. So I wont kill them on this. Its a brand new pedal and probably just has a few bugs to work out.

Pretty good only emailed them once about their new DynaComps. They changed the buffer in it a little so there is no more sound loss when bypassing the pedal. It sounds very hi-fi.

I play classic rock and hippie stuff. Been playing for about 6yrs. I have never played with an Analog Delay like some of the guys that have been playing for 25+yrs so I'm not completely sure about their nuances. Like I said before I did try the AD-9 and was not impressed with that. I did eventually return the pedal and am sticking with my DigiDelay, which by no means is a spectacular delay but it does the job for now. I wish it had a volume knob for the repeat levels. I will probably try this pedal again in a year or so to see if all the bugs have been worked out.

MXR provides an instruction pamphlet that gives a few sample settings, giving even the imbecile a jumping off place. Anyone who has used a delay pedal in the past will quickly find their way.

Perfectly quiet, using this delay was like having a brand new old stock Ibanez AD-9. The new reissues of that pedal don't sound nearly this good and the old ones are, well, old. Plus this pedal gives you a full 600ms which bests the AD9 by 300ms. Delay is analog to the max and you get this great modulation button that throws modulation just on the repeats. The sound will make you want to cry with joy.

Reliability : 10
MXR pedals do have a reputation for durability. Dunlop seems to be going to great pains to generate a fabulous new line of analog pedals, many vintage makeovers of pedals from my youth, like the new '74 phase 90 which I bought at the same time as I got this pedal and will review separately. Bravo, Jm. you finally listened to the huddled hoardes of guitarists who wanted that the vintage sound without having to pay $400. These pedals are very reasonably priced and are a huge bang for the buck.

Dunno. I suspect they are going to go the extra mile with this new line.

57 years old, playing for 45 years and have been through every pedal imaginable. Have some of the old script MXR pedals- a Phase 100 and formerly, a Dyna Comp that I sold like a fool. Best sounding compressor I ever used. ('74) This delay will provide what you are looking for in spades unless you want to do looping or you like the sterility of digital delay units.
Avery sweet box for a sweet price. I'm excited, and that takes some doing.
