Ease of Use : 10
Plug it into a solid 20A. single phase 120volt a.c. supply, connect the +4 audio XLR Balanced line-in, and you're done.

Nuthin' don't get much easier than that; do it?

just a brochure (w/specs) for a manual. simple.

Sound Quality : 10
Absolutely pristine 3-way full range audio at a blistering 500 watts min. cont. pwr.(RMS)
Internal (designed for the drivers used) 3-way active crossover.
(no wiring to screw with, no x-over to buy/set/adjust....nice)
The audio quality eminating from these as a stereo pair, is full, rich, maybe even breathtaking. Yes, they sound that good! I used them for an outdoor concert and they performed flawlessly without even a hint of any distortion or complaints of any kind from either unit.
Absolutely quiet in whilst in neutral. This is whilst using this with an inexpensive Behr. console. Though it did have a st. compressor and 5-way stereo active parametric EQ through the console stereo main inserts. (to provide tonal balance)

Reliability : 10
Solid as the rock of Gibralter. The rear mounted plates are extruded al. keeping the units adequately heat dissapated on a very warm day, running at about 95dba continuous for about 3 hrs.
(this system was used without the matching subs Mackie makes.)
They are not lightweight though. about a c-note ea. with a hand truck, they cart around pretty easy. Owned these about a year now with nary a problem even once! Though they would likely suffer damage falling from a truck, I would bet dollars to donuts, the amps would come up working even with the cabinets smashed to hell. They are the proverbial brick shithouse of portable 3-way systems.

Customer Support : 5
If I ever needs it, I'll let yas knows, K?

Haven't needed it yet! (fingers crossed)

Overall Rating : 10
These will take about anything short of a heavy metal band, and could do well at that if using the subs. (I guess I'd use (4)1530's and four subs (2/side ea.)and then I'd feel very comfortable with any gig.

If they were stolen I'd replace them with the exact same thing.
(try it and I'll shoot first, ask second)

with the convenience of not having to fuck around with x-overs, multi-amps, racks, AC distribution, a dozen cables to hook all that shit
together, and the time it takes to set up, adjust, all that shit etc., ....I'll take the Mackie's thanks. Far easier, and great sound!
These are the real deal for medium sized venues!
