Easy as they get. 4 knobs; speed, width, regen, delay. Play around! Works great with my 1-Spot & long chain of effects. No stereo, only negative I can think of.

As a big fan of flange as an effect, to my ears, this is the best flanger I've heard yet. I can actually call this pedal 'transparent', as a flanger. Practically unheard of. I know Maxon makes quality equipment, and I already own the same Chorus CS-01 pedal from this same series which is fabulous sounding in its own right, so I saw this for sale and snapped it up right away, since I was already looking for a new flanger anyways. I've had a few of the better low-budget ones, so I'm in a good position to judge. I can't afford an original ADA and what have you, but I love certain sounds that flangers can produce, and I've always needed to have that sound around. I first had an Arion Stereo Flanger, the old grey Japanese made kind, and it was very lush, but a bit noisy, and limited in its range. Very good sounding at what it did though, a great pedal. I sold that and got a Guyatone Fl-3, which is also a great, great pedal. But it makes a 'pop' when engaged, which I don't like for performance or recording. You have to either have it on the whole song or not at all. Then I got a Line-6 Liqua-Flange, which I didn't like very much. It had a few good settings, and is a great pedal in terms of how many things it can do, which is a ton. But I never got the sound I wanted.
Plugged this baby in with my Epiphone Valve Jr. & my Washburn WI64, and this thing sounds amazing. Tasteful and transparent sounding, with absolutely no noise, no background wash, no nothing. The other person who has reviewed this pedal so far said it couldn't do very extreme things, but I only partially agree. Turn the regen up all the way and it sounds almost like a downward saw filter. My CS-01 has 4 superior JRC opamp chips in it, and I doubt that this pedal is any different. Haven't looked inside yet, but Maxon was using the best of the best stuff back in the day. Seriously, this is the first really tasteful flanger I've played. You can actually hear your guitar's tone through it very well. I'm very pleased!

Never had a problem with a Maxon, Maxon of Japan will still email you back if you ask them questions about these pedals. Built really solid.

I play swirly, melancholy dancey rock ish pop ish stuff. I need flange, I like to have several differently undulating modulation effects going at once at times, but I like effects that retain their character in that context. And this pedal is just what I was looking for, after trying several really good ones. I recommend buying one if you like flangers and if you come across one. These are incredibly rare.

Four controls, Speed, Width, Regen, and Delay Time. Basic four knob flanger. Dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

It's a very subtle flanger. Even with all the controls maxed out, it won't get jet swooshing flanger sounds. But with that said, it has a very transparent sound, keeps guitar tone intact. Very professional sounding. But remember very subtle. The subtlest flanger I have ever tried.

Built like a tank. Heavier than Boss pedals. This thing is tough. The footswitch is all Rubberized. Doesnt seem like its goin to conk out.

Its a subtle but very professional sounding flanger. Dont expect jet sounds here.
