Pretty easy to get a good sound out of it. Hard not to get a good sound! Great that you can use negative feedback, control rate and depth, and switch between 4,6, and 10 stages.

Sound Quality : 10
Used with Gibson Les Paul Standard. Effects sound awesome, no noise, no tone-sucking in bypass. I like 10-stage phasers (I think that 4-stage phasers eat your sound too much) and the 10-stage option on this is great. It's like an MXR-100 with a lot more depth, transparency and control. I've tried every phaser under the sun, and they all suck compared to this one. Especially the digital krap PH-3 and HyperPhase. I got my MXR EVH Phase 90 (which was the best until I found this) out of my pedalboard and put this in. That sounded too much like a wah, anyway. Really, honestly, the PH350 is worth the price I paid and then some.

Reliability : 10
Maxon products are high quality, I would depend on it.

Customer Support : 10
Kevin at Godlyke is great.

I play rock, and I love Maxon stuff. I have the CS-9Pro, and the SD-9 also. I tried the 9-series phaser (PT9Pro+) but that was pretty limp. This was only $10 more and thousands of times better. I like phasing on clean, subtle parts; I don't use it as much with distortion. But this is incredibly transparent and live. I like the orange color and the retro-vibe casing, it's all good.

This is a beauty. Three knobs, a little three position switch for phase thingy and the footswitch to turn it on. No need for a manual, just turn it on and play.

Sound Quality : 10
US Tele deluxe plus, Gibson firebird VII and Gretsch Double anniversary in to a whole host of pedals. Boss V-wah into a double looper and out to a menatone compressor. One loop has a digitech X series delay, DOD FX17 wah/volume and the Maxon rotary phaser. The other loop has Maxon AF-9 auto filter in to guyatone analogue delay (better than those early boss ones in my opinion) and a nobles overdrive. The big chuncky knobs help with quick changes pre and during songs which is useful as a singer guitarist.
There is no noise when its off and every time I switch it on it sound superb. I think anybody wanting a phase sound in their rig could find what they want here. This pedal helps me sound like me.

Reliability : 10
Built like a brick. Solid. No need for a back up.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've had no need of them.

Overall Rating : 10
This was a revelation. I bought it cause it was so cheap, compared to list, thinking I could e-bay it if it was crap. First time I tried it, it blew me a way. I've tried getting a bad sound out of it and have failed. Even the noise when you switch the feedback up full is useable.
This is the best phaser by far of a vast number I've tried. Subtle to turning green and chucking over the side this has them all. I was apprehensive to see my Rocktron Orange Peel go but I was fooling my self. This is hte one true phaser, let us pray.

Very easy to use. Three knobs and a switch for the different stages of phase you want. This pedal has nice tones at every setting.

Sound Quality : 10
This phaser is one of the best around. I tried it against 4 other phasers (Digitech Hyper Phase, SIB Mr. Fazeadelic, Boss PH-1R, MXR Phase 90)and found this to be the best. The sound quality on this phaser is amazing. It doesn't take over the guitar when in use and is a very warm sounding phaser. It is also very versitile. My setup is as follows: Les Paul into a wah, EQ, various od and distortion boxes, synth wah, the Maxon Phaser, tremolo, and delay. The phaser is very warm and welcoming.

Reliability : 10
This is built very well. Can't complain.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had any issues yet.

Overall Rating : 10
This is probably one of the best phasers on the market. It will do both phase, tremolo, and a little flanging. If this pedal was lost or stolen I would either purchase this pedal or try the Red Witch Moon Phaser. All in all, this is the best phaser I've played and it is well worth the money.

There are many sounds in this box and it's dynamic in the fact that it will respond differently depending on where it is in the effects chain or whether or not is in front of the amp or ran through the effects loop. That being said it's easy to just plug in and play so it's the best of both worlds because you can tweak it for minute variations in a recording situation but you can also buy it the night before a gig and get good sounds without any time spent changing settings.

Sound Quality : 9
I use this pedal for practice and live situations. I play Carvin DC-727 seven string guitars through Rivera and VHT heads into VHT cabs. I play this pedal in front of the amp pushed by a VHT Valvulator. I like all my effects this way. In front of the amp sounds warmer and more subtle than through an effects loop and because of the Valvulator there is no worries about signal degredation.

I have used this pedal to record and it sounds real good, just make sure to turn up the mids for lead playing the phasing effect will sound thin unless the amp is EQ'd right. As previously stated this pedal can obtain many different sounds and can easily take the place of your flanger as long as you don't want an extreme flanging effect. If I could go on stage/record with one pedal this would be it. Enough said.

Reliability : 9
Solid, and nice to look at. Have played with at least three days a week for the past year and never a problem.

Customer Support : No Opinion
They have a good website but I have never called them even though right now I use Maxon effects exclusively.

Overall Rating : 9
I play heavy alt-rock with alternate tunings and a variety of sounds ranging from mean to friendly. I use this pedal all over the place, to accentuate parts, to give a whooshing effects during sustained heavy chords, or to give a growl type effect to seven string rythem's ala Korn, flanging effects to leads are also quite nice. Nice and warm sounding. I don't like vintage music or amps but I love analog effects. I highly recommend saving for this pedal, but at 270+ new it's hard to give it a ten for value.

Just plug it in and start fooling with knobs....not rocket science here.

Sound Quality : 10
This thing is rather unique sounding. You can nail any phase/univibe sound imaginable, and because of the regeneration feature you can get some flanging and leslie combo sounds absolutely capturing the "House burning down" effect Hendrix gets on Electric Ladyland (add some analog delay with it and you are in dreamland). Throw away your Mutron phaser, flanger and univibe pedal this thing outperforms them all. This pedal also gets some subtle envelope filter vibes going.

Reliability : 10
I have had it on my pedalboard now for a year and absolutely no problemos.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have had no reason.

Overall Rating : 10
I play blues/rock. My main influences are Santana, Hendrix and Gilmour. This pedal (when dialed in correctly) will warm up your tone and influence your playing. If you are some kid with a Boogie Rectifier looking for some spacey sound effects, this thing will provide some cool sounds for you too.

Plug in and Play. Option for making the unit stereo by plugging two cables into outputs A and B and putting them into the two channels of your amp.
I have not looked around inside and plan on getting it wired for true bypass.
And because of the lack of true bypass and the fact that no pedal really gets a 10 for easy of use...

Sound Quality : 10
I use this with a Fender Thin Tele or Fender Strat->Hughes and Kettner Replex->Maxon Rotary Phaser->Ibanex TS-9->Vox Wah->Fender Reissue Twin Reverb. This unit however is not true bypass... it is mechanical bypass but it is virtually noiseless when switching on and off. However, I use this alot with my keyboards. The Maxon sounds great either with my Hohner Clavinet of Wurlitzer 200a.
The phasing is subtle and like no other phaser I've heard (Maestro, MXR, Boss). To get the phasing to become more prominent, by plugging two plugs into the output for the stereo phase and pluggin them into two different channels in your amp, the phasing becomes nice and loud but doesn't muddy up the notes.
The Maxon has a unique quality to the sound of the phase. To get an idea, listen to Sonic Youth's "The Diamond Sea." On that song, they are using a Ludwig Phase 2 Guitar Synth which are extremely hard to find and upwards of 2,000. You can easily replicate these "oy-oy-oy" "yow-yow-yow" sounds without paying the huge price.
In addition, it is easy to use to get nice Leslie sounds by manipulating the rate knob.
I should also mention that in addition to the three knobs including Rate, and Feedback, there is a switch where youcan choose between 10, 8, or 4 degrees of phase. 10 will give you a nice, lush, prominent phase whereas 4 will give you a sublte chorus-y sound.

Reliability : 9
Most definately. Seems pretty solid to me. Functions nicely as a tabletop effect for keyboard playing as well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I called Maxon to ask about the true bypass. There distributor in the US immediately picked up the phone and answered my question. Although I've not had to deal with warranty information, I really don't have an opinion.

Overall Rating : 10
I would buy this pedal over and over. Never have seen a phaser like it and the sound quality if mind blowing. I highly recommend this pedal. The only thing that I don't like is that on 4 degrees of phase, the phaser isn't very prominent. But I can just stick to the 10 degree setting and still get the sounds I like.

Maxon makes quality products!
