When set to OD, This is a trully Tubescreamer sound at its best, no wonder in the literature was described as Tubescreamer+. Is a TS-808 with programmable and presettable settings. Imagine having a TS-808 and you love almost any setting you dial, in POD1, store this setting to any of 10 users memory in any patch, sequence, bank, order and so on, it just provide you enough one FX for ALL on your all night long jam. Call the setting while giging with just a button, stomp it to by pass, on/off etc. No more gigling with the pots niple, no more missed your favorite setting while plying on stage, no more sick on the next school day for bend down to much ;) #@5^%@zz.. This baby got 3 JRC4558D OpAmp and use 1 JRC5534 single Opamp for distortion unit. Anybody out there who got this FX, try number factory preset number 8, and use it with PPE1 (Programmable Parametric EQ) number 8 or 4....Sweeeeeeeet. See also my review on Ibanez POD1.

This is my back-up I just won on ebay, can't wait to play with it. My first POD1 (Ibanez) failed to work. Don't know what happened, but it looks like it had been kept in too much moist place. If I lost this or something wrong with it again then I will try to get the same one or else get 10 TS-808, and 10 SD-9 and a programmle switcher matrix. It's the only way to get 10 different single pedal sound without turning the pedal nipples! :)

Hopeless I guess, I send it once I was in US but I got it back unrepairable. Maybe will try Japan one day. But I can imagine, since it is a discontinued product, and uses lots of microprocessors that may custom pre-programed only for this FX (I don't know), so if something wrong with it, you know!

Definitely recommend if you like TS-808/9/tubescreamers or other overdrive sound or MT-2/SD-9 or other heavy Fuzz/distortion. Nothing special in it except: no noise, the art of electronic inside (you are buying a computerized fx for value of 40-100 bucks!
