Ease of Use : No Opinion
its easy to use. If you cant get this one working..you should sell it to some one who can.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I dont care for the sound that much I think it is too thin for my tastes. But it does have a reputation so what can I say most people seem to like it

Reliability : No Opinion
I have had some problems with reliavibility..when I bought it the plastic switch on the side was broke..so I fixed it and then I had problems with the foot switch :-( maby I got bad one. I have seen the switch used on other ( cheaper) 70s Japanes effects if that sayes anything about the quality of some of the parts

I would give it a 2. With all the problems and the thin sound I dont use it much. I would only buy it again for the case. I would build another effect in it like a wah or somthing. I play hard blues rock. I like phaseres but not this one

This is the Maxon equivalent (or, if you prefer, the "real" version) of the Ibanez PT1000 Pedal Phase. It's a single-knob phaser in a blue wah chassis (looks like a blue Crybaby). Treadle up and down controls phase speed, and there is also a fast/slow speed switch on the side. It can take practice to get this to sing though; it's not like a typical wah.

Sound Quality : 9
If you know the sound of the old Maxon Phase Tone circuit, this is it! Lush, warbling analog phasing that you can adjust with your feet. I also have the Ibanez version of this pedal; they sound identical.

Reliability : 9
Easy circuit to work on if anything ever goes wrong. Remember that this one is close to 25 years old. Mine is in great shape with the exception that the original bottom plate has been replaced with a Crybaby bottom at some point in the past few years.

Some folks say that this pedal gets a sound similar to a Leslie. I've never heard a Leslie in person, so I can't testify to this. But it is a fun, useful pedal to have.
