In my review below I stated that I had problems with the King of the Britains totally quitting on me. I called Menatone and the problem was solved over the phone!!!!!!! They installed a diode on the adapter connections to guard against someone using too powerful an adapter and this turned out to be my problem, not the adapter but the diode. They got a bad batch of diodes on the older pedals and this happens every once in a while that the pedal will quit working.
To rectify the situation, if your pedal quits after plugging the adapter in, just cut the diode off of the adapter connections inside the pedal and all is well!! If you have any questions on this please email me.

Customer support could not have been better!! I called at 9:30 at night to leave a message and received a call back in 5 minutes. Brian explained the problem and told me how to fix it and he said if that didn't work or if I didn't want to attempt it he would fix it free of charge and the pedal is 2 years old!!!!!
I love Menatone pedals and will continue to use them untill my fingers won't work anymore.

I am using a 71 LP Deluxe into a 68 Vibrolux. This pedal really lets my LP breathe and scream if needed. The Treble control is very interesting in that it acts like a sweep rather than a less/more control.Turn it down and it boosts the mids, turn it up and it is like a presence control.Very stable sound doesn't have good days and bad days like some pedals I have. Sounds like a Marshall. It really gets a good tone with a little chorus added and can definately get vintage tones without much coaxing.

I would carry a backup because i recently plugged an adapter up to it and it totally quit working!! I have a friend that had the same happen with his Blue Collar. I don't know what the problem is because i have used adapters before with no problem?!!

I play everything from blues(which it does very well) to Satch to EJ etc. I have been playing for 20 years and i have never heard another pedal sound like this. I would definately replace it if it were stolen.I love that it opens up my LP more than any other OD/distortion I have used. Again I would carry a backup due to the failure of the pedal recently, I can't believe that an adapter would shut the pedal down!! I wish it had a little more control in the EQ area as i like a lot of bass and it seems to be limited in that area along with the mid control. After playing this pedal it is hard to go back to any other OD pedal because no one else has this tone.
