Ease of Use : 10
The Monkey FX Splittertoo is a splitter box for magnetic/piezo pickups (the price covers the Splittertoo plus shipping to Norway). It has an input taking a stereo signal from my Parker Nitefly-M, and one output for the magnetic signal, and one output for the piezo signal. The signal I send from the guitar is managed by a switch on the guitar itself, so there's no need for a footswitch on the Splittertoo. I can use purely the magnetic signal, or the piezo signal, or a blend of the two. The Splittertoo also has one 9V plug for use with adapter (Boss-type), which is required in order to have a functioning transformer isolation, to avoid annoying hum in the signal. It also powers a nice LED.

Talking about ease of use is a little pointless, as it is just plugging in the stereo (TRS) cable from my Parker to the Splittertoo, and two cables out from it, plus powering it up. It's as easy as this could be, I believe.

Sound Quality : 10
The magnetic signal goes into some effects that eventually leads to a Mesa/Boogie F-50. The piezo signal goes to the PA. Andi, the builder I had contact with during the whole process of this purchase, mentioned that this could provide some 'enormous sound', after having tried out the system himself. He certainly is right about this! It broadens the sonic spectrum a lot. Beautiful and mighty tones to be found there..! I know some splitters for mag/piezo have a problem with excessive hum/noise, but the Splittertoo is not noisy at all, and I believe that can be contributed to the implemented transformer isolation.

Reliability : 10
Difficult to say something about reliability, because you don't really know before something gets broken. But this looks solidly built, and I have absolutely no worries that this will fail on me anytime soon.

Customer Support : 10
This is top notch, and I am impressed..! Me and Andi have exchanged quite a few emails during the process, and he has always been focused to hear what I wanted, and to give me the best advices he had concerning my wants for this splitter. Detailed updates were given for each step in the process, so I always knew how far the process had come. I also asked him if it could be possible to find a good stereo cable to add to the order (I wasn't sure where to find a decent one myself), which he gladly would do at no additional cost other than the cost of the cable itself. Very kind!

Overall Rating : 10
I am in a band supporting a choir singing lots of varied music styles, so I am somewhat depended on having a setup that can cover a lot of grounds. The Splittertoo is a huge step to make the rig even more versatile, and was just what I needed..! I purchased the Parker Nitefly-M for some 3 months ago and fell in love with it. The Splittertoo complements so perfectly well with the Parker, so I'm even more in love with the Parker, thanks to the Splittertoo..!

I love its ability to split the signal so I can have the F-50 amp, and a piezo sound in the PA at the same time. It's a huge sound! Very full and lively.

I know some might be frustrated with seeing all the ratings here set to 10, but I will defend that with this; your dreams will almost always be superior to the reality you face. My wants (or dreams) for this splitter were met, and the Splittertoo has in fact exceeded my wants, in the way that I didn't really expect the unit to yield me so much for my rig; I knew it would be good, but I didn't know it would be that good..! Plus, the excellent customer service certainly puts this as one of the best, if not the best, experience I have had with purchasing over the internet so far. If I ever lose this in some accident, I'll not hesitate to ask for another order of this. Also, I'll definitely make sure I'll check the pedals Monkey FX has when I have another pedal-need in the future.

Finish-wise, this box is really nice..! Of all my pedals, this is definitely the nicest one. I'm not good at describing colors, but it is some kind of dusty blue colors, where the pedal face fades from dark blue to bright blue. Nice! It brightens up the pedalboard, both in the sense of cool finish, and due to a powerful good LED. Andi says he enjoys the painting part of his pedals, and I can believe that..!

All in all, the Splittertoo is great, and the whole purchase experience was very positive. Definitely recommended..!
