Ease of Use : 10
It defines ?easy to use? and provides EXCELLENT SOUND! The chorus can be switched in or out with no switch click or other transient noise impressed on the signal. The pedal throttles the volume. Operation is smooth between full-on and cut-off.

The ergonomics of the unit favor operation in a standing position. And, this is most suitable for performing guitar operators. By contrast, I?ve tried other units that more favorably accommodate a seated guitarist, and these are most uncomfortable when standing. Personally, I am the seated guitarist type, so I have my Morley BCV set onto a slightly inclined pedal board.

Like all Morley volume pedals, it can make excellent volume swells. (The Little Alligator provides a minimum volume setting ? I?ll be buying one soon.) The BCV offers no minimum volume feature.

It provides EXCELLENT SOUND!
The chorus speed and rate have ample range. Settings can range from lush warmth to harshly abrasive (if you are so inclined). No stray noise is added.

Among my solid-body, archtops, semi-solid, composite and slim-line guitars I have all types of pickups, and my favorite amps are a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and an Ampeg VT-22 ? both are tube units. Ergo, quite, noise free operation is ESSENTIAL.

I could effectively get ?the sound of my favorite artists?, but more important to me is that special sound that is uniquely me groovin? in my own special way.

Reliability : 10
Morley = reliable.

And did I mention that it provides ?EXCELLENT SOUND!?? In this I am most please, as its only alternative function might be as paper weight or wheel chalk. And, ...y?know... its rugged enough to be a most formidable wheel chalk.

I bought this BCV unit used and untested over eBay. These have been out of production f or over a decade. Morley is the ONLY unit I would consider buying as a used item. (Of course, Morley is my first choice as a new item, too.)

The best.

I play jazz, fusion, big band, blues, otherwise unclassifiable ear candy, and transcribed orchestral pieces of long-dead European composers. And Ive been playing for ... a really, ... really long time. Morley is my first choice. When I need to go to th
