Well I got in touch with Morley before I bought this pedal and the legendary Bill wrote me a very nice email encouraging me to buy it! The Bad Horsie II is so easy to use and what is superb is the contour where you can do your own tweaking to create the sound you require!
I also bought myself a morley adapter and I must say they where very reasonable in price around 18,00 Euros the rocktron ones cost 40,00 Euro's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sound Quality : 10
I think the sound is superb and I too sometimes forgot too switch my previous wah pedals off I had a dunlop it wasn't bad but the Big Horsie eats it up!! This thing is superb I couldn't believe it I am very happy with it indeed I use a Rocktron Prophesy and I hook it up between my guitar and the input putting it in the loop would be suicide if you ask me!!

Reliability : 10
This thing is built like a tank and heavy it's been made to last and althogh it's expensive compared to other wah pedals you get what you pay for and Morley is the rolls royce of pedals!

Customer Support : 10
Like I say Bill was very helpful and said he looks through the Harmony Central comments regularly he'll probably send me an email for this too?????

Overall Rating : 10
I would most definately replace this and I would be prepared to shoot anyone who tries to take it away from me!!!!

As easy as a wah wah pedal can be. No need to use a manual, perfect.

Sound Quality : 10
I have an Epiphone Les Paul and i use peavy amps. This thing rocks. Im a Satriani-Vai fan, and this is the best pedal you can buy. If you want to buy a wah wah pedal, dont pay atetnion to those people who didnt like it, Vai uses it, what else do you want.

Reliability : No Opinion
Yeah, I would depend on it. Cant really write about long term use, id just had it for like a week. my processor has a wah wah included, so i gues i would use it in case i broke it or something. you never know

Customer Support : No Opinion
nothing

Overall Rating : 10
I just love everything, the wonderfull sound, the clean wah wah sound, just everything. If someone stole it, i would probably make him drink sulfuric acid, and many other painfull/fatal things i would prefer not to mention. jejeje. I would buy again unless there is a newer model, the bad horsie 3 maybe

First and foremost let me say that Bill Wenzloff is by far the best in the industry.Bill takes care of ALL Morley customers the same,he plain and simple takes care of them.I've been buying Morley pedals sinse the 70's.I was dead set on my Pro Series II, I never thought I would like the Bad Horsie. Now I wont use anything else. Here's the story.I bought a Pro Series II distortion/Volume/Wah. I was very unhappy for whatever reason. When I called Bill he simply said "What would make you happy" I said the "Bad Horsie II is your best and I wish I would have bought that one instead." He said "Done" I sent him mine he sent me a new Bad Horsie II. The whole prosess took 3 days! Bill thank you and Morley,Thank you!!!! You truly are THE BEST!!

Ok I gotta admit one of my flaws here...i'm terrible with wah pedals. I always fail on nailing the switch at the right time fucking up the melody for good. So when the whole switchless thing came out it was a blessing for me and for all the switchless pedals i tried this was the best.

Sound Quality : 8
Pretty good i might say, not amazing like a vox or a dunlop switch equiped crybebay (the switchless was horrible), but it definitely works great. The sweep is quite good and the preset resistance seems pretty well tuned too. I haven't really played much with the contour setting because i dig the normal sound of it. But mind you, it has some flaws that some might find annoying:

1)It doesn't go silent right away after you remove your foot from it and the silencing is quite noisy, which can sound horrible if you record a riff with some wah on/wah off parts.

2)If you plan to use it ala Michael Schenker it will do no good since it doesn't stay in any position, as soon as you remove your foot it goes up and then goes off.

3)It works good only between guitar and amp, FX loops fans(like me) will be in for a bad surprise.

But in the end the sound is overall good and hey, if it's good for Vai it's good for me!

Reliability : 10
It's quite sturdy, and it has resisted my violent stomping for some time now so thumbs up!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never used it

Overall Rating : 8
Well it's a good wah pedal, probably the best switchless available. I recomend it if you have a bad relationship with wah switches. People who love to use it as a treble or bass booster or want quick response won't like it for sure. The only thing i didn't really like was the terrible response it had with the fx loop, even if i heard others who use it say that the contour feature should somehow fix the problem. Overall it's a good pedal though

Step on Step off, can't be easier.

I go from a Sennheiser wireless into the Bad Horsie, then into a Sabine Rack Tuner into a Digital music GCX loop switcher with every effect imaginalble hooked into it. :) Then through a Rocktron Hush, and a BBE. That goes trough a Marshall DSL50 through a 4x12 loaded with Vingtage 30's.
This wha DOES NOT SUCK ANY TONE WHATESOEVER!

It has it's own sound , it isn't supposed to sound like a Crybaby or a Vox or whatever and if you buy it without listening to it and expect it to sound like one of them, then you are an IDIOT!

Reliability : 10

I ended up getting this Bad Horsie 2 becasue I thought there was a problem with my original Bad Horsie. It was makeing some terrible noise, that ended up being caused by the adapter. SEE BELOW!

I had it for 2 years before it started doing this and as I said it wasn't the pedal.

Customer Support : 10

Bill at Morley is one of the 2 greatest customer service people I have dealt with. The other being Skip at Digital Music.

As I said my pedal started makeing this terrible noise and hum. I called Bill he offered to fix it right away at no charge to me.They couldn't find the problem, so the sent me a brand new one. I got the new one and it was doing the same thing.

After a bunch of headaches, I finnally found out that it was my pedal board causing the noise. When the adapter and the wha were placed together on the board the aluminum frame of the board was acting like a big giant antenae inducing noise into the wha, even when the adapter wasnt' plugged in. So if you are using a pedal board, the adapter has to be about 4 feet away from the pedal to stop the noise.

Overall Rating : 10
I play classic and New Pop\ Rock and this pedal handles it. If it were stolen, I would definately get another one.

No problems really, the switchless feature is very handy especially on stage as you could imagine. although if you use a dunlop pedal wah on and off is in the opposite direction so harder wah is foot down instead of foot back like the dunlop, that didn't suit me well, but would just take a bit of getting used to.

Sound Quality : 3
I think this pedal is horrible soundwise, it's very noisy when the pedal is engaged and changing the settings does not help at all, when disengaged my Laney quad is close to silent but engaged i get a loud hum that never existed in my dunlop crybaby pedals i've owned, stick with the dunlop pedals if you care about all that hum it can be bad when recording or playing at loud volumes.

Reliability : 10
I havn't owned it for long but the unit seems very well built, and Steve uses it, enough said.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 5
overall i would stick with the dunlop crybaby over this simply for the sound and ease of use, dunlop all the way!

71 Les Paul Custom through various amps ranging from clean to annoying. Would like a lttle more sweep on it, the low end doesn't honk enough.

Reliability : 10
I've never had a problem, although I'd like to know what one of your reviewers meant by "built like a leopard tank"? Is this a device used to contain fast, carnivorous felines, or a spotted armored vehicle?

Very good.

Been playing for 30 years. Mostly hard rock and blues, wanting to sound like Hendrix and Eric Johnson. Always loved the Vox sound, but often tripped trying to turn it on, or got DUIs while finding replacement batteries. Nothing is perfect, but this is a good combination. Go play White Room on it til they kick you out of Sam Ash, and see what you think. Everyone has an opinion.

it is so good it doesnt need a mnual. just plug in, regulate your "Level" and "Contour" (i emphasize this due to the fact many people in this site say bad things, but they say it because they dont know how to use it the way it was designed to be used), and you are set to wail.

Sound Quality : 10
right now i have a full rack system and i added the bad horsie to my loop. it gets noisy only if you dont have a hush super c or any other hum eliminating system. in reality any amp sounds dirty if you are near by and dont have a hush...anyways back to the wah. once your personal tone is clear, this wah does not color your tone.all the other wahs kill my sound but thsi one keeps it rich and high sounding. my marshall double stack couldnt of have sounded better.

Reliability : 10
it has not failed me yet and pulls through every single time. if it were stolen, id hunt down the dirty bastard who took it and beat him with it since its built like a tank. after i recover my gear id buy a backup just because the theif got it dirty.

Customer Support : No Opinion
havent needed any support yet.

Overall Rating : 10
i play progressive metal and i need to have perfect tone for everything. this wah is what i needed. i love the switchless setup. normally in any line 6, dunlop, boss, and any other wah, i need to turn on the switch or turn it off. im a huge fan of dream theater, satriani, and steve vai. this wah pedals makes the team.

before i purchased ths item i asked the manager to bring me all the wah pedals in the store. they were ncie enough to allow to make a huge chain loop of wah pedals...must have been 12 of them in total. i tried each and every single one of them. they mainly disgusted me. i wanted to spew out my lunch until i got to the morley products. once i got to the bad horsie one it hought it was it...then ou touched ont he bad horsie 2.....heaven. this is my wah pedal and ill stick to it. thank you very much.

Not sure if this is the Bad Horsie, or Bad Horsie II. Switchless operation makes this the easiest wah pedal to use out there (and the reason I bought it).

Sound Quality : 3
The tone blows. But wait........ there's more........see below.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank. Never a problem.

Customer Support : 10
This is the reason I am writing this review. I was very unhappy with this pedal for two reasons. First, the tone sucks ass. Way too muddy on the bass side. Also, when engaging the pedal there was a noticeable volume boost that I didn't want (great if you are playing an ENTIRE solo on the wah, but what if you are engaging and disengaging the wah multiple times throught the solo?). I was very disappointed, and was going to dump it on eBay. Fortunately for me I decided to call Morley tech support on a whim, to see if there were any adjustments that could be made. I got throug to tech support almost instantly. I spoke to Chad M. on the phone who was extremely helpful and seemed genuinely interested in resolving the above-stated problems. He instructed me to send the pedal in and they would install a volume potentiometer to take care of the volume boost problem. He also said he would listen to it and get rid of the muddiness with an internal adjustment. ALL AT NO COST. Two weeks later I got a call from the Morley bench tech (Bob) who received the pedal and had it opened up on the bench. He verified what the issues were, asked me a few questions about desired tonality, and then offered to fix the power supply lead that I had permenantly soldered on to the battery lead due to another problem. ALL AT NO COST. Unbelieveable! Where did these guys come from? Certainly not 21st Century Earth!! This is how tech support should be at EVERY company. The tech support manager and all of the techs at Morley are to be highly commended, and I am a Morley customer for life.

Overall Rating : 9
Love the pedal. Love the company. I am a gigging musician in a top 40 band. The pedal is used constantly, and I have never had a problem. Been playing since 1982. Mostly Rock and Top 40 from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Wow......Morley has surpassed all of my expectations! And with the mods the pedal now kicks ass!

Very easy to use...

Sound Quality : 3
My setup was (nowadays the BH-2 is gone): Ibanez RG -->Morley BH-2 --> Marshall JCM2000 TSL100 with a Marshall 1936 cab.
I tried every possible setting on this pedal, I even modded it after the Morley's "tech talk" specs but I couldn't get it to sound good... The sound was muddy when played low notes and thin, nasal and irritating when played high notes as some have stated on the earlier reviews. There's a very noticeable wah-range change when the pedal is pushed about the half of the whole sweeping range: the wah voice jumps a lot more than it should.

Reliability : 9
Yeah, it's built like a tank

I e-mailed Morley twice and they were very friendly and helpful. This is how the customer support should work!

I play hardrock and "technical" stuff, like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani Yngwie... But I just couldn't get it to sound good.
