Ease of Use : 10
Totally easy to use. Includes a knob for level and one for the contour along with a contour switch.

Sound Quality : 10
I really like the sounds of the bad horsie wahs. Full range from lows to highs on this wah.

Reliability : 8
You have to be careful how you hook this thing up. If you do it wrong it sounds like crap. If you do it right then it's a beautiful sound.

Customer Support : 10
This is the best freaking company I've ever dealt with in the music industry. They offered to fix my pedal for free when I thought it was broke... Although it wasn't broke.

Overall Rating : 10
Here's the deal. This pedal sounds great, but it will sound like trash if you use it improperly. One problem is the order you hook it up with your fx and you'll have to figure that out yourself. The main problem I've found is easily fixable. My friend bought the first vai wah and I've bought the 2nd. If you use certain AC adapters the wah will emit a low roar feedback that sounds terrible. My friend finally plugged in a Dan Electro adapter to his power supply and it sounded great. I used a zoom AC adapter at first which sounded terrible. Then I plugged the Boss adapter into my TU-2 which powered all of my other pedals including the wah and the wah had no low roar sound. If your wah is sounding terrible, just change the adapter. I don't know why this works but it does. This is a great pedal.

this thing is weak man.....when its not cutting out its cutting hte volume in half or making a badass 60 cycle hum or not working at all. the wah is weak....vai can't possibly be using this.

Reliability : No Opinion
i wouldn't use this thing in my bedroom let alone a gig if it was growing on my ass

Customer Support : No Opinion
i don't care that much, i'm sending it back and getting a crybaby (tried and true)

Overall Rating : No Opinion
this thing is weak when it does wrok and even then its a nightmare....saveyourself a headache and get something else. morley wahs are weak, this is their best wah and it blows hard ass.

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy. I get "my" sound out of it that I want. This is hard to screw up.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the best wah - hands down. It gets my sound that I want. You've heard it it many recordings that we've done. Vox and the Crybabys do not come close. Get a Bad Horsie II.

Reliability : 10
Been to every concert. Although, I do have a backup ready just in case something was to happen.

Customer Support : 10
Morley has excellent customer support.

Overall Rating : 10
The Creed style is shaped by this pedal. I would not use another wah in its place, unless someone came out with a better. However, for the time being, the Morley Bad Horsie II is the king of wahs. I will not play any pedal that is less than 10.

Very easy, you dont need a freakin manual to operate this thing.

Sound Quality : 10
First time i owned a MORLEY and it did'nt let me down. This is the one im looking for, a well-pronounced dry wah without altering the tone of your guitar. Ive owned a Crybaby535 and i sold it coz it sucks, My tone is affected when i use it and the worst thing that actually pissed me off is the scratchy pot. Thats the reason i sold it, Dunlop sucks and for me its very common to have a crybaby nowadays for a guitarist. But this Morley Wah is the best out there. Switchless feature with wah delay and a contour wah setting for your own manipulation of the wah range. Sounds like Steve Vai to me but the real deal is in your playing, so if you know Steve Vai or not, Buy this wah if you want to obtain a real wah!

Reliability : 10
Its totaly metal! If someone tries to steal it ill bang him in the head using this and i might commit a murder with this thing, not that i want to im just saying you can depend on it in any situations.

Customer Support : 10
Ive already dealt with Jim Seguin of Morleypedals, very helpful person, he's also the one who encourage me to buy a Morley wah, I was planning of getting a Power Wah Boost but he said they dont service those old Tel-Ray models anymore. So i choosed the Bad Horsie 2 coz it totaly kicks ass of Wah imitators and Dreamers.

Overall Rating : 10
I play many styles of music from funky/alternative to Progressive metal and Melodic music. Its pretty versatile to me, However to obtain funky wah style you need to back off the volume of your guitar coz i use it in my Fender Squier Series w/ Floyd Rose 2 and Dimarzio X2n in bridge and Paf pro in neck stock single coil in middle. Very loud and versatile guitar for me, and i plug it to the VAI-2 and to my ART Xtreme Processor and to diff amps like Peavey, Marshall and Fenders. You'll definitely love this wah! very usefull and versatile for your adlibs and power riffs without actually turning on a switch in the pedal. Check their website at WWW.MORLEYPEDALS.COM

Super easy. First off, the switchless design gives you absolute control over your wah-ing, eliminating the danger of fumbling over the activaton switch in live situations. Second, the contour mode has only two simple knobs to toggle. One for the contour of the sound, and another for the level. Not hard to grasp at all.

Sound Quality : 10
Oh yeah! Much better then the Bad Horsie (read my review). It actually sounds like a wah! The factory setting is good enough for me, but the fact that players have the option to tweak the sound more to their liking is a huge improvement over the original design. At this point in my ten years of playing, I have to say that this is the best wah pedal I've ever used. For the record, I'm using an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and a '72 Fender telecaster with a Di Marzio Fast Track 2 in the bridge position through a Dr. Z KT-45.

Reliability : 10
It's built tough. I trust it 100%. No backup required, just keep a spare 9 volt around.

Customer Support : 10
When you choose Morley products, they're not going to let you down. Buy it, and if you're not satisfied let them know. Whatever it is, they will bend over backwards to make it right for you. When I tell other guitarists the lengths that Morley went through for me, they are astonished. What did they do, you ask? I told them I was displeased with my Bad Horsie and they replaced it with a Bad Horsie 2... for no charge! They even contacted me again to make sure everything was okay. Morley has truly raised the bar on customer service. Thanks a million, Bill!

Overall Rating : 10
I'm actually trying to be critical here, but I just can't think of anything that is so terribly wrong with this pedal. Everything is so terribly right! It's the easiest pedal to use, it sounds great, it's tough, and the people who make it back it up all the way. I encourage everyone who uses wah wah pedals to go to their local guitar shop and give this one a shot (I'm anxious to try their new switchless "Classic Wah" design). Morley will not let you be disapointed!

If you don't use the "Contour" mode it's so easy it's sick. Just step on it. The "Contour" mode take some fiddling but still simple. There is a manual that covers all of Morleys pedals.

I'm using Ibanez RG550 guitars, DiMarzio and Duncan high output pickups, into a Marshall Artist 3203 and sometimes a Marshall JMP 2204, along with a distortion pedal [w/the 2204]. I'm not really a wah guy, this is the first one I've used in many years. I really like the sound. I'm using it more like a slow teeter totter action, as opposed to wildly rocking it back and forth when I'm soloing. A slow envelope. Sort of cocking it, but moving it around ever so slightly if you know what I mean. That's one thing, you can't just cock it and take your foot off, but that's in exchange for the auto-off feature. That's what I couldn't deal with on wahs I've tried in the past was clicking it on, playing, then clicking it off. So the auto on/off is really cool on this. There is some noise when it's engaged, a humming but I've checked around and I guess that's just what wahs do. And also a slight popping when it goes into normal/bypass mode. I use a lot of distortion so that's probably why it's audible. Bill at Morley told me there is a way to adjust it to lessen the pop, but it takes away some bass frequency. At this point i don't want to mess with the sound so I'll leave it stock. The pop isn't heard over playing, just when I stop playing and take my foot off. I like that it gives a slight boost when it's on, for soloing that's great. In Contour mode you can get even more volume boost. I haven't messed with Contour mode much, I pretty much like the stock normal sound. Keep it simple.

Top notch. I had a problem with another Morley product and Bill Wenzloff from Morley really bent over backwards to win me over. And I am won over. Great customer service.

Overall Rating : 9
Playing 23 years, mostly into rock or hard rock and DISTORTION. I should say I'm not a wah afficianado, I'm not comparing this to anything except how much I dig playing with it. It's a great rock wah, not subtle which I like. If it disappeared I'd definitely get another! My favorite feature has to be auto on/off. I love not having to think about a switch. Put your foot down and go.

If you havent used a switchless wah, you will not believe how easy it is to use. I used to own a vox, actually i still have it for versatility but the switchless feature is super! I mean you dont have to press with all your might to turn the wah on and off and no annoying clicks. Just a simpel step and its on, great for subtle wah passages where you dont need to click it on and off.

Sound Quality : 9
Using it through a marshall avt50 . The contour feature is useful. It slike havign 2 different wah settings at the same time. The original bad horsie and your own! This pedal is not really good for the traditional wacka sound but for metal and rock, this is THE perfect wahhhhh!!

Reliability : 9
Looks solid enough. Firm black metal casing. Should not have maintainance problems.

No idea

Overall Rating : 9
Overall its a fantastic wah, my dream wah instead. Would not get another one in the near future unless maybe a bad horsie 3 came out. I only had my vox for 9 months, but i HAD to get this. If you play metal and rock, you wont regret it!

Probably the easiest to use piece of equipment I own.

Well, I'm actually a keyboard player who likes a complicated setup for more versitility but still easy to use live. I love the sound of a wah on lots of sounds but I've always hated having to switch them on and off before actually using them. With this pedal, I don't even have to deal with it. I normally don't like signature pedals or instruments, because for marketing reason, it's just a simplified version of what the pro actually uses for a cheap price (so the dealer can make money with someone's name). Well, believe it or not this wah sounds great with just about anything. Fast, heavy attack sounds...slow, smooth, ambient tones...you name it, this pedal adds something in some way. I have heard a little bit of noise with it, but I think that might be because I had the effects loop of my mixer cranked at the time. Otherwise, great sounding wah, without the cheezy wakkawakka crybaby sound.

Reliability : 10
Big, metal, rugged, could-kill-someone-if-you-threw-it-at-their-head pedal.

Dont' know.

Best wah I've ever experienced. And I don't even like Steve Vai that much!

You put your foot down, you have wah. take your foot off, no wah. it doesn't get any easier.

I use primarly my ibanez 370. It sounds awesome with either humucker, and okay with any other pickup setting. Amp wise, i usually use my j-station into futher amplification of some sort (P.A., or practice amp) and it sounds great with that. It also sounded good through the fender practice amp i tried it out on in the store. This is probably the best clean wah on the market. A little weaker with distortion, but i usually use it with a clean setting anyway. As far as what artists sounds you can and can't get... If you want the Hendrix Voodoo chile sound, don't buy this or you'll be disappointed. Get a dunlop or vox if that's what you're going for. But if you want that sound that Vai gets at the end of the song "Tender Surrendur" or in some of his other songs like maybe... "Bad Horsie", then it's perfect. It would have a 10 if the sound w/ dist. were a little better.

Reliability : 10
It's stainless steal, and the optical sensors won't wear out like a pot. I'll probably still have it 20 years from now unless quit playing guitar.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 9
This thing is great. I play everything from jazz to metal to classical to blues. It works well for anything you would want a wah for except classic rock and blues. The best feature on this thing (other than tone) is the switchless feature. It makes it very easy to use. The only disadvatange is that you can't leave it in the middle some where while you play unless you keep your foot on it. I tryed out 3 or for dunlops and 2 other morley's before i decided on this one. I would have gotten the Bad Horsie 1 because it's 20$ cheaper, but they didn't have any, so i got the 2. It's more versatile anyway.

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use. Morley's Electro-Optical circuitry utilizes a LED (Light Emitting Diode) and a LDR (Light Dependant Resistor) which allows quiet, switchless operation. No stomping down on the pedal to turn the wah on or off. Battery can be replaced without taking the entire unit apart. Can be powered by a 9v battery or adapter.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the best sounding wah I've ever used. Very musical and clean. The contour feature allows the user to dial in different tones (shelving) for radical sweeps or subtle quack. The contour feature can be turned off as well, which really makes this two wah pedals in one. With the contour feature off, you get the standard "Vai inspired" wah setting.

Reliability : 10
Typical Morley. The pedal is built like a tank. The potentiometers are securely fastened to the chassis, the knobs fit tight on the pot stems, the chassis screws are heavy duty. Even the battery compartment has a metal plate instead of the cheap plastic plates found on Dunlop pedals.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I play progressive rock mixed with blues, funk, and jazz. The Bad Horsie 2 is a great sounding wah for any style. I use it not only for solos, but for funk-style rhythms and other cool chord effects as well. Great tone.
