WELL, ITS VERY SIMPLE AS THE OTHER REVIEWS HAVE STATED. THE ONLY THING IS THE EFFECT MIX KNOB DOESN'T QUITE DIFFERENTIATE THE EFFECTS CHORUS/VIBRATO

THE THINGS COMING OUT OF THIS MACHINE ARE FANTASTIC. THE DELAY HAS TO BE KEPT LOW (NEVER MORE THAN HALF)ON THE KNOB OR IT COULD EXPLODE THE AMP. tHE CHORUS/VIBRATO COULD USE SOME DIFFERENTIATION BUT BOTH EFFECTS ARE CLEAN AND USEFUL

I play rock with some psychodelic twists. this pedal is just right for that sound b/c I use a lot of bends which smothes out the delay. The chorus/vibrato sound comes in handy when I blend with the other guitarist's Orion Chorus or Pepperoni phaser. I aslo like to change teh rate manually with the expression pedal while playing to give the whole sound a nice movement of keeping pace/pushing forward/slowing down. Its a damn dream pedal!

Made in 1982. This crome monster is the biggest pedal on my pedalboard. It has 3 knobs (chorus intensity, mix, echo intensity) and a built-in expression pedal to control the speed of the chorus or echoes. The chorus speed is indicated by a flashing light. The pedal also features a stereo output, which sounds awesome when two seperate amps echoing each other. This pedal was a little bit tricky to learn, but once I learned how to manipulate and mix the sounds it became much easier. I can dial in my sound in seconds now.

I'm playing this pedal through a Mesa/Boogie Nomad 45 4x10 combo with a Gibson Les Paul Special. This pedal is normally very quiet. Oddly enough, the only place I've tried it where it has created a buzz was in the studio. Maybe some of the studio gear freaked it out. Anyways, the sound is incredible. I normally use the pedal for the echo and use the effect mix to control the volume of the pedals. This pedal has a sound all its own, so I don't know of any artists to compare it to. I can get sounds similar to U2's The Edge, but the pedal colors the clean sound a little by fattening it up, so it sounds unique. And, if I wanted to, I could get some really spacey or haunting sounds by ajdusting the echo intensity to infinity or by using the expression pedal to slow down or speed up the echos while I'm playing. One thing worth mentioning is that even when the echo is turned off it is still slightly noticeable if the expression pedal is not all the way down. Sometimes this adds a fatter color to the sound, though. The chorus on the Morley is very fat sounding, almost like an organ with a leslie. It's like a mix between a Small Clone and a Tube Rotosphere. There are definitely some George Harrison Sounds using the chorus.

This pedal is built like a tank. It has an all metal construction and weighs about 3 or 4 lbs. Like some other Morley pedals, it uses optical technology, and none of the lights have ever burned out on me. This pedal has given me zero reliablity problems. I have used it without a backup about 50 or more times, and never had an issue. The pedal is over 20 years old and still incredibly solid. Nothing has been changed except for the power cable, which I had changed from the original two-pronged plug to a three-pronged plug so that it would be grounded.

I have never had to deal with Morley for support on this pedal. My dad originally bought it brand new in 1982 for 15 dollars. I wish pedals of this quality still cost that much! As far as I know, my dad never dealt with Morley for customer support, either.

I play alternative rock, and this pedal is a great addition to my rig. I have been playing for over 10 years. Other pedals I own are a Boss TR-2 Tremolo, Boss TU-2 Tuner, and a Marshall Blues Breaker. If this pedal were stolen or lost I would have trouble getting out of bed for the next month. I have never seen another one anywhere; not someone using the pedal in their rig or even selling one. I love the echo on this pedal. It sounds so full and juicy that it just sits back in the mix and blends with the rest of the band. I wouldn't change any of the features on this pedal. I like it just the way it is.

This pedal is the easiest way to get my favorite sound- delay being manipulated as you play. I love the pedal controlling the speed of delay.

I usually use a Les Paul or Strat into a distortion pedal into the Morely. It is not noisy and has the warm analog delay which degrades as it repeats. I rarely use the chorus.

I have never had a problem with it, but I would love to have a backup. The Morely Slimline Echo/Volume is similar and would make a good backup pedal. Does anyone have one of these for sale?

Overall I would say that this is my favorite pedal ever. I play psychedelic, heavy rock, so I'm into weird noises. This pedal (when used with distortion) can sound like a flying saucer taking off. It can also be used clean and tastfully, although that is not my preference.

Very easy to use. The pedal is powered by the AC plug (no batteries), and has an on/off switch and two footswitches, one for chorus/vibrato, and the other for delay. The on switch must be in the on position to play through, and the delay footswitch turns on either of the effects (the LED lights ease any confusion). This seems like a fairly old pedal, but you can use it just by plugging in and playing. Plus, it has a "stereo amplifier" output, just in case. The actual pedal modifies the length of delay, and with chorus, the speed of the effect. There are three knobs: Chorus/vibrato (amount), Effect Mix, and Repeat. It's self-explanatory, really.

I've been using this with a Epiphone Sheraton II into a Silvertone 2x12 or a peavey 2X12. The pedal has virtually no noise, and even sounds great with vocals going through it, especially with a little delay, or chorus at a slow speed. There is a wide range of what you can do with the pedal. The Echo (delay) is only about a half second at the most, but by using the pedal you can create some strange sounds. The pedal acts like the "delay" knob on some of the newer delay effects. While you can't get a delay of a second or two, you can turn up the "Repeat" knob, just like the newer delay pedals. I also have a DOD digital delay, and while this pedal doesn't have the extensive possibilities of multi-second delay, it does suffice as a simple delay. However, the things you can do with the actual pedal are extraordinary. Just imagine turning the delay knob of your current delay pedal while playing. Also, there is an actual "playing delay" where you can't hear the note played until it's delay. That is, if you have the "Effect Mix" is all the way up. The chorus on this pedal has a rather wide range. At a slow speed, the chorus is sweeping, like a rotary speaker, and fast, it's like tremolo, but is also capable of changing pitch like vibrato.

It's an old pedal, but has been very reliable. I'd had it for months, and have had no problem. It is powered by light cells and a light bulb, so, the light bulb will need to be changed. This is one of the Chrome Morleys that are huge and will survive anything. It's dependable, but I'm not sure I could find a backup, so I take care of this one.

I play rock, jazz, whatever. This can create spacey sounds as well as straight chorus and delay. The chorus beats any built-in amp chorus. If you want a multi-second delay, you may need to look elsewhere. I've been playing for ten years, and have seen nothing like this before. Most new products are digital, and this was a refreshing find. If I lost it, I'd look for another one. I love the spacey sounds. I also like the vibrato at all speeds. If you like Charlie Hunter's fast organ-like vibrato, you could use this.

Quite uncomplicated... it's possible, (not easy, but possible), to adjust any of the three nobs on the fly, and of course the treadle is made for use during a song.

I'm busy building a footpedal system... I will use this with both acoustics and electric guitars. It is not noisy. The effects unfortunately suck. They call this an echo pedal and they advertise "multiple" echoes. Well - if you crank the nob wide open, you can just barely hear a second echo, otherwise you get just one: I am very disappointed in that. The Chorus is fine, as is the vibrato. I've used it with many different amps. I cannot get the multiple echoes that I desired from it. I give the following review: Echo-(2),Chorus-(7),Vibrato-(9),Overall-(5)
I will probably replace this with the Boss DD-5. Otherwise, I have the Morley switchless Wah, (which is great and a keeper), and the Morley PSV Stereo volume (which might be replaced). The sound quality is fine here, but the features are lacking. I get one echo if the relevant nob is cranked down, and I can just barely hear a second echo if I crank the same nob wide open: c'mon!!!

The lack of a good echo feature is unforgivable. Otherwise the Chorus is OK, and the Vibrato is great.

this thing is Hendrix in a Box!! I am not kidding very scarey. the sounds from this are addictive, in fact when I realized how much I was depending on this pedal ( I had it for 3 days) I gave it to my friend. The effects are crazy! it has a foot controller to vary speeds of the effects! all I can say is be forwarned ! you will freak when you play with this thing!

this pedal is a big chrome monster! with the secret magic sounds of a guitar giant build right into it! anyone will a min of 10% better tone if they use this pedal. I would not buy it again because it is too much for me!!! especially when it does this wierd backward delay echo thing that slows down your sound.........( it made me feel like I was cheating)
