Very easy to use but a little bit hard to find your sound. You may try a lot of times to know each function and make your setup.

I use a Fender American FatStrat -> Jimmy Hendrix Wah -> DOD Compressor 280 -> MXR Distortion= -> EHX Big Muff -> EHX Small Clone -> Guyatone Vintage Tremolo -> Morley Deluxe Flanger -> ROSS Phaser -> Danelectro PB&J Delay -> BOSS Noise Gate NF-1 -> Laney LC-30. This unit seems to have no noise at all, but I think when it's turned on there's a loss of gain in the signal, but when switched off you can trust in its true bypass. It produces a very warmfull and pure sound. You can easly mimick Pink Floyd's "Any Colour Your Like". Otherwise, you can get some chorus effect if you find the right setup for the knobs, but I prefer more speed and depth for my applications.

This is REALLY a tank. Heavy weight die cast aluminium case, 4 knobs and a DPT stomp switch. I bought mine used and think it has about 20 years and perhaps it may long more 20!

You won't find this one easly, maybe in a vintage store or an auction. I don't know if Morley has replacement parts to fix or to provide a technical support. I never needed and hope not need in the future.

This is a nice pedal you can compare with MXR Flanger or even EHX Electric Mistress. All these pedal were made by the same components and the remaining sound is similar also. If you can't buy a new unit for U$130.00 or don't to fight for an used MXR auction, try this one and you won't be disappointed.

Getting good sounds is very simple. Plug it in, turn a few knobs. Takes ten seconds. sounds great out of the box.

This is the best sounding flanger ever. It smooths out harsh distortion and makes crappy amps sound good. It sounds great clear too. You can sound like Robin Trower with it using distortion. The only negative is if you use it in line before plugging into a tube amp you lose some signal and it is hard to get full distortion.

I bought this unit back in 1981. One of the first years they made them I think. Its serial number is in the low 1000 range. It still works perfectly more than twenty years later. I sold off a lot of other effects and amps, including my Mesa Boogie Mark II C head, but not this pedal.

When I first bought it, the unit died, and I sent it back for repairs. THey fixed it 100% with no problems, and it has worked ever since.

This thing is great for hard rock distortion and clean sounds. It sounds full and warm, and very analog. I had a $700.00 digital echo/flange unit and that thing sounded sterile and cheesy compared to this unit. Interestingly, this unit is a Morely without a pedal. I don't think they did that for very long. I had a Morely pedal wah, but traded it in to get this unit back in '81. Definately a good move. Hey, what is really cool is that I bought all my equipment back in the early '80's and now it is "vintage". I always wanted vintage equipment! I have no idea if these are possible to find any more or how much they go for.

Usually a flanger would have only three knobs: Depth, rate and intensity . Not this one, it has four: Speed, manual, travel and reg. (?). The manual knob is somewhat unclear to me, I mean: I don't know what it does!!! Please tell me if you know. Still, it is quite easy to make it sound well because, and it's very simple, it always sounds good.

I use this pedal with a Fender Jazzmaster and some Fender look-a-like Ibanez (unfortunately the same guitar that Noodles from the Offspring uses, it IS a nice guitar) and some other pedals through a vintage Music Man 212 HD 130 watts combo. My setup right now is as follows:
Fender Jazzmaster/Ibanez ---> Danelectro Fab tone ---> Morley flanger deluxe ---> Boss Metal Zone ---> Ibanez Turbo tube screamer ---> Amp
I use the metal zone only as a boost for the tube-screamer 'cause it lacks the last bit of gain needed for a really dirty grungy yet transparent stoner sound. The cool thing about this setup is that you'll have both distortion units before and after the flanger. The fab tone before the flanger gets you a cranky over-the-top screaming fuzz distortion, and the MetalZone/Tubescreamer after the flanger results in a warm organic transparent distortion, so you'll have all the combinations you'll ever want playing grunge, rock, stoner or whatever.
The only thing is that this pedal doesn't have a true bypass, It always uses batteries and when you use the distortion unit before the flanger you hear the flanger raging as background noise going wooooooiooioiiiiiiiioiiooioooooow, well you know what I mean. Maybe I should create a loop.
Just to make sure: this flanger is the best I have ever heard and on clean signal it sounds outrageous.

Well, if you have ever come across one of these you'll get the point: It's beyond a tank, it could be used as a missile. All steel (at least 1/2 cm thick) and extremely sturdy electronics on the outside. It weighs about a kilo, that should tell enough.
It's a shame it uses 12 volts instead of 9, like most pedals. When you use an AC adaptor like me, you'll have to buy a separate one.

As I said I play mostly grunge/rock/stoner or less aggressive styles and I love guitar players with a distinctive sound like J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, Ty Tabor of King's X and Kurt Cobain. I am trying to figure out how I want to sound and this pedal gave me a whole lot of ideas. It sounds pretty much unlike other flangers, also because it's a vintage pedal. It's sound is indeed what you would call distinctive. So because of that I would try to find another one, which I think is going to be hard as usual with vintage equipment. This thing is already irreplaceable in my setup.

This flanger is a pedal so you all know the routine. Turn those knobs(4 knobs: manual, travel, speed and regeneration) until you like what you hear! I have never seen a manual but who reads them for pedals anyway. I have traded for this pedal twice and have no idea when it was manufactured.(maybe someday I will contact Morley)I am sure they are no longer being made because I have never seen another one. When I got this pedal the first time I played around with it until I found "the sound", marked the settings and still play with the same settings seven years later.

For me this pedal defines my clean sound. I use it mainly as a chorus effect now and I haven't found anything I like better. I have used a DOD FX 75B, the purple Boss Flanger, a Digitech DSP 128,128+ RP-10 and an ART DRX-2100SE (I still have this processor and use it for recording) I play an old JB Player Strat copy which I have totally modified. (new Stew-Mac neck, Schaller tuners, I sanded it down and refinished it and I'm looking at new pickups)I used to use a Peavey Special 112 and also a Special 130(will use this as a backup now) that I cut down to a head and played through the 412MS cab. I have recently bought a Music Man 112 RD-100 which is going to be my main amp. I like what sounds good and to me this pedal sounds great. It takes 2 batteris and sucks the life out of them like many other pedals so I use an AC adapter with it. It was kind of noisy when it was in-line with other pedals so I added an a/b switch to make a two channel pedal board. Once I figured that out it is actually very quiet.

If you have ever seen this pedal, you would probably agree with me that it is one of the heaviest pedals you will ever find. Heavy duty switch, solid steel housing, heavy duty knobs. I have, would and do use this pedal without a backup. I have owned this pedal for about seven years and have never had a problem with it. So yeah I would say it is very dependable.

I have been playing for about 10 years and play a variety of music.(Bluesy, Funky, Pop, Hard Rock, Jazz, Contemporary Ballad etc)I am involved in music ministry and I have a degree in music so I like a variety of styles. I'm not one of those guys who has to have 72 different clean sounds and and 117 different distortion sounds. My sound is basic and simple. Too much "stuff" just takes away from the music anyway. I used to have a rack system and through that ordeal I had a great distorted sound and a mediocre clean sound, spent a whole lot of money and discovered I don't like tweaking parameters. It was a major lesson for me to learn. I would buy this pedal again in a heartbeat besides I have already traded for the exact same pedal twice. As heavy duty as this thing is I doubt I will ever have to buy another even if I could find one. I was a fool for letting it go the first time but I was fortunate that my friend I sold it to was willing to trade again. If this pedal were ever stolen it would return to me because IT IS MY PEDAL.
