This wah doesnt have an on-off switch. It goes into bypass when you let go of the pedal (there is a spring in it). That's supposed to be the appeal to this wah. However, if you're not exactly precise when you toggle back, the wah goes into bypass mode for a second. Not a good thing. Otherwise, like all wh's, very self-explanatory.

I use a Gibson Les Paul Standard going into a Marshall JTM 612 combo. The wah sounds ok, but a little too high end (treble-y) for me. Not noisy at all.

It seemED dependable. I sold it already (I owned it for two months). I bought it because I wanted something to replace my Vox wah. I loved the tone of the Vox, but it was just too hard to turn on (you gotta stomp down real hard on the front of the pedal) when you're trying to tap dance on tons of other pedals. That's why the non-switchless wah was appealing to me. Well, now I sold that, and I'm back to the old Vox wah...

It's a wah pedal. Just plug it up you're all set. The switchless design feels different from the standard design. You must rock the pedal a little more forward to get the range of motion because if you let it go too far back the bypass will kick in...this is the only problem that prevents me from rating this catergory a 10. You can get use to it with practice but it still can get annoying. Also, it is spring loaded so you cannot set it in a fixed position like the stardard poteniometer design.

Maybe it's my technique, but the wah usally sounds more subtle that I would like. Having to worry about not going to far on the pedal and accidently going into bypass mode limits the range of motion. It's good for light funky "wakka-wakka" sounds. I used to receive AM radio when I hooked it up but after switching to higher quality cables (Spectraflex), it completely solved that problem.

This pedal is built very solid. The spring loaded design is very smooth and reponsive. I don't know how long batteries last because I've always used the AC adapter. I doubt I'll ever have to replace any of the parts on this.

Morleys make the most dependable wah pedals. The wah sound is very modern...not for people seeking a vintage sound. I've thought about buying the Crybaby 535 for the versitility, but I've have heard that the other brands (Dunlop & Vox) have noise and noticable tone change even when in bypass mode. I definately do not want to sacrifice my overall tone for that! This model is completely quiet in bypass mode and also in during operation.

This thing is a piece of cake. Just press it down and it goes. The only problem is that if you back your foot off too far, the effect shuts off and if your not listening closely, it can be quite frustrating.

The wah sound is great but the range of motion of the pedal is not responsive at the begining of the angle - what I mean is you get a lot of low-end growl when you first kick it in but not a lot of high end response till the pedal's almost to the floor. It is very touchy and hard to get used to. Overall the wah sound isn't bad, though.

The best thing about this pedal is there is no switch to stomp for on/off. I think I would buy a Cry Baby next time - the tonal range of the wah is much better I think.
