From circa 1985. One footswitch & 3 knobs : threshold, delay & boost. The manual is a pamphlet, has all needed info.

Humbucking guitars into Marshall amps. I either use it in my effects loop on 1 amp or at the end of my effects. It does generate a slight bit of hiss. Not true bypass. The pamphlet states that it has high impedence input & low impedence output for driving long cables. The boost knob helps in this area, too. At 12 o'clock it is unity gain but there's no notch so you have to eyeball it.

Let me say this. I've had it since 1985. In 1994 a PA speaker cabinet fell on it and though the footswitch is now loose in the casing, it still works perfectly.

I've been playing 22 years. I recently bought an MXR Noise Gate/Line Driver. It doesn't have the same muscle for cutting off feedback that the Morley does. I actually use both of them, one in the effects loop of my amp because it's noisy & the MXR at the end of my pedals. Insane! This has been a very important pedal for me over the years. I use a lot of distortion so it's crucial to have something cut off the noise in breaks. I've yet to see one of these in a used shop. I've seen the same series compression and distortion but not one of these, even on the web there's nothing about it. Strange.
