This is a wah designed for bass. My version doesnt have the switch for the funk wah. I was quite dissapointed about this thing, cause the picture in my retailers page had the switch, i ordered the same product, but no switch.
Luckily there was hardly any more dissapointment. The wah sound is great and even though it doesnt have the switch, it has a whole variety of sounds. There is much to do and discover with this wah. The volume knob is useful, and its depth is easy to change even when standing. I compared this with a bad horsie wah. This doesnt take the bottom end out, like the bad horsie does( but the bad horsie is designed for guitar, so its understandable)
Still, other guitar effects that i use (danelectro fabtone, coolcat, fish&chips) dont take the bottom end out.
Like i said, there is much do with the wah cause the sound doesnt even annoy my guitarist even if my foot got stuck on it  . there are two failures with this thing, though. The first is that i cant boost the sound much among my effects cuz sometimes at certain wah depth, the sounds starts distorting (for example, high G(12th fret on g string) distorts at certain wah depth) . Even though it happens quite rarely, it is really,REALLY annoying when it happens. Luckily i havent found any distortion on low volume, but i want to oost my sound with effects. Now its harder. The other failure is about the construction. Its not about the reliability (which is very good), its about the output place. Why the F--- couldnt it be placed on the same side as the input???? Some might think this is a little thing, but it isnt. Now it needs more space on my effect board and longer cables. Pisses me off?
Overall it has a great sound! The ?comes with the purchase? distortion is annoying and so is the construction.
However, i recommend this for a bassist who likes to explore with sounds and wants a reliable pedal.

IT's a wah. What's not to understand. It has an auto-bypass feature that activates when the pedal is the heel-down position. SWEET! The level control allows you to have a harsh wah, subtle wah, or anything in between.

Love it! Was going to get a Crybaby until a friend and co-worker (JONATHAN LEE, WHUTTUP!!!) turned me on to it and let me try his out.

No problems yet in the month that I have owned it. My friend and co-worker who enlightened me to this pedal bought his used and has had it for some time now and is problem free.

Easy to step on but difficult to be tasteful because of the signal boost even at the lower level settings. Good for throwing a punch with the whole band but the range is too agressive for subtle colors on a bassline. I give it an 8 if you play a lot of bass, a 3 if you're just a guitar player needing a gig.

I either use it wide open for a single note accent or in the lower end of its range for color; the middle-high range sucks if you swim in it. I play a Ric through an SVT-3 so I'm not exactly looking for mids or highs...it might not be so bad with a different bass.
I wish the activation was as smooth as a crybaby.

Made to hammer nails. I've had to slightly re-adjust the card that blocks the diode once (it wouldn't de-activate).

It needs a built in overdrive with an independant switch like some guitar wahs have (get fired from the band in style).
