It is very simple to use, even simpler than most wah pedals! And I immediately like the sweep of this pedal, it seems very balanced and intuitive. Regarding that I used various other pedal with toe-heavy, heel-heavy, and linear sweeps.
This is one of the main reasons I bought it: it has one stompbutton for switching between the Volume function and the Wah function. It also comes with a Boost knob for extra volume boost in the Wah mode (which is important for cutting through on solos).
The stompbutton is placed on the front-right, next to the pedal. IMHO this is so much better than a switch underneath the toe-end of the pedal:cause this makes switching somewhat harder, and cannot be done without changing the sound. That's also the reason I didn't buy a Morley Bad Horsie or a Real McCoy kind.
The only thing that can sometimes bother me is that you have to put the pedal toe-down when switching to Volume mode, or else the volume will not be all the way up (and vice versa from Volume to Wah mode). I sometimes like to end my wah solo in heel-down when switching back. This however cannot be done without altering the pedal with a soldering kit. But really no biggie once you get used to it.
Although it came with one, with this thing you don't need a manual.

I simply love it! It works good for both clean and distorted sound. There's a deep mid-low sound on the heel-end, and a cripsy sharp edge on the toe-end. For me the sweep is just perfect. It's also very silent. Just remember to put the Wah BEFORE anything else in your effect chain: especially when using distortion.
My current setup: BOSS chromatic tuner > Digitech Whammy 2 > Morley Power Wah Volume > BOSS Metal Zone > BOSS Pitch Shifter Delay > Ibanez Modulation Delay > BOSS Graphic Equalizer. Using amps: Marshall JCM 900 Top and cabinet, Marshall Valvestate 8080 or Peavey Bandit. Using guitars: Gibson Les Paul Custom (with three goldplated humbuckers) and various Ibanez guitars.
You might find the sound slightly different from other Wahs. But when I heard my favorite Dutch band (The Gathering) use it live, I immediately knew this was the sound I had been looking for.

It's a great and relatively cheap pedal. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
Another thing I like about the construction is it's low gravity: the base of the pedal is low and wide. Unlike most Wah pedals that are higher and narrow: these tend to tip over more easily while playing. The Morley is more balanced this way and can never tip over!
I'm mainly a rock guitarist that's known for playing very versatile stuff. I like to experiment a lot with different and strange sounds. But most of all I find it important to put as much expression into the tone and music as I possible can. This Wah is one of the main aspects in doing so.
In the last fifteen years I have owned (and still do) various wahs: Jim Dunlop Cry Baby, Jimmy Hendrix, Zoom (autowah) and Digitech RP21 and I've also tried lot's of other wahs like Real McCoy. But I like the overall sound and useability of this Morley pedal the most by far!
I would definately buy another when it got stolen or lost.

Quite easy, it's a wah wah that becames a volume pedal when it's off. A level knob sets the wah output acting as a booster. This can be used to drive you tube amp when setting the wah, adding distorsion from the amp to the final output. Very cool feature!

No noise at all. The pedal has a very wide frecuency range with a very step change from bass to treble. The sound quality it's very good reflecting very well your guitar nuances.

I give it a 9 since the frecuency range it is a bit wide for my tastes. The change from bass to treble could be a less steper but you get use to it very quickly.

Guitar --> Fender Stratocaster. Amp --> Line6 Spider2 // Laney VC30 210
Very nice and sweet wah sound. I've got a Crybaby and a Vox. The Morley has a different tone. Morley wahs don't emulate vintage tones. They have their own modern flavour. No classic sounds here. It sounds like an envelope filter, the sound is more like YOOOIII YOOOIII than WAAAW WAAAW. The level knob is a clever feature and very useful for playing lead guitars. I play it with my bass too and sounds fantastic. The volume feature is good, but it could be better.

It's a very simple setup, on-off wah switch with wah output adjust. Anyone can have this hooked up out of the box, and the manual does clearly specify where in the chain it should be connected.

I'm disappointed with the output - I'm still trying to figure out if it's a defect with my unit alone (for which Morley has been very helpful), but it seems the wah mode vs. the volume mode downgrades the treble freq on the signal considerably, at least more than I expected (it should be noted that this is my first wah pedal). Very cool wah effect, though, the sweep is perfect.

As with many, if you're looking for that sweet porno-riffic sound (wow-wakka-wakka-wow-wow) then this pedal's wah feature can pull it off with ease. Assuming the tonal output is as it should be, a great buy.

I have been playing for 39 years. I own about 25 guitars and several amps. This pedal is compatible with anything I've plugged it into. If you have noise or other signal issues, it is comming from somewhere else in the signal chain. This unit is stone quiet and can be put into multiple patching configurations with equal success. It is a buffered preamp and does not degrade the input signal AT ALL.

I just got the pedal and put it on my pedal board- it absolutely kicks ASS. The volume pedal taper is PERFECT. The wah has just the right cut. On top of that, Its built like things made in the USA are supposed to be-like a tank.

Please read this: The Morley company is a satisfaction oriented company. They want you to be happy with their products. They have numerous ways of tweaking and customising pedals to suit your exact tastes. If you can't figure out how to get what you want, just call or email them. All products have a lifetime warranty- period. I have several endorsements for various gear (and morley is not one of them). In spite of that, Morley is still the most helpful and musician friendly company I have ever dealt with. They really want your purchase to work out for you.

As wah-pedal it is hissing too much. It makes my amp sound like in error. As volume-pedal it reduces the guitar signal too much. In both cases it is too noisy. The wah-effect itself is okay when playing clean, when playing distorted the effect is almost unrecognisable.
Setup: Steinberger Spirit GT Pro, Epiphone Les Paul Special II, Yamaha DG 60-112.

I sold it after a while. It is too noisy. It hurts my ears. I bought it as a replacement for two cheap Bespeco-pedals. At least the Bespeco Weeper (wah-pedal) wasn't worse than the Morley and costed less than a fifth.

This is a follow up review of this pedal. After using this pedal for a while, I noticed what I thought was a signal boost when I would turn the wah on. This boost didn't seem to be affected by the level knob at all. After further investigation I found that my signal wasn't being boosted when I went to wah mode but rather, it was being cut when I went to volume mode. I found this to be unacceptable because it totally took the edge out of my signal, sort of like turning your volume down on your guitar about 1/4 turn. Anyway, I had bought a Genesis 3 with the Control X pedal which handled volume for me so I figured all I really needed this pedal for was the wah effect. So I downloaded the schematics from Morley's web site and wired the volume circuit as a true bypass so it no longer functions as a volume pedal but purely as a wah pedal. Works great now.
Anyway, I thought this might be useful information.

Well, it's easy to use. It's a wah pedal. Easy to use level adjustment. However, the on/off switch is a bit too close to the pedal, making it difficult to switch, especially if you got chunky rock star boots on. Whatever. Minor complaint.

Strat to Wah, Boss OS-1 Overdrive, DOD Flange, Boss Noise Suppressor, Fender Studio 85 combo amp. Noise isn't a problem, but the wah does unexpected things to the sound. Dramatic spacey weirdness, which ain't bad. It's just not the classic Hendrix sound you may be looking for. More contemporary and processed. Try before you buy.

Looks to be built like a tank, as far as the casing and mechanics. But I have to say, there were cosmetic problems with mine. The rubber foot surfaces, for instance, are basically rubber stickers, and they were off kilter and badly applied. Same goes for the Morley logo (another sticker). They gave me the impression that this thing was cheaply manufactured. Not like the beautiful rubber and chrome surface of a VOX wah, ya know?

Either you'll love the wah or you'll hate it because of the heavy processed sound. Points off for the crappy cosmetic stuff. But hey, you judge gear for how it works and sounds, right? If lost or stolen, I'd look into the Bad Horsie, just for the auto switchability. Oh, also, I wish the floor level (heel down) in volume mode was adjustable, instead of zero/off. That would at least enable you to use the volume mode as a level boost for playing solos. Oh well. I'm off to find a Bad Horsie.

Sound quality is very nice. If you know how to use the pedal and know the proper place to put it in your effects chain then you can get some very good sounds out of it. This pedal can be loud when used with distortion if you don't have a noise gate but any serious musician would definitely have a noise gate in his effects chain already. The volume functionality takes a little getting used to because the sweep is very fast. It seems like moving the pedal the first 1/2 inch brings it to almost full volume and then the last 1 inch does very little. I guess I just have to get used to it.

I bought this thing because I needed a new volume pedal and my band added a couple of Metallica covers so I decided to kill two birds with one stone. I wasn't disappointed. Although the volume moves very fast. It's a little difficult to get a slow buildup, just have to get used to it I guess.

It has a very weak wah sound. I had been using a morley black gold wah/volume for the past 10 years or so and it crapped out on me so I bought this one. The black gold wah has a much better sound than this newer one. The wah is just too subtle.
