Ease of Use : 10
The unit has two things on there that make the effect more interesting. It has a VARIATION head for the up and down positions of the rotating sound effect. The SOUND ON SOUND intensity button for increasing or decreasing the sound of the effect. It is very echo-ey. Though it is a great effect. It is definently a poor man's vibratone. I don't have a manual for this one.

Sound Quality : 9
It's very echo-ey and nosiy at times. Though it is still a great effect if you want the swirly Leslie-like tones for the guitar.

Reliability : 10
I can depend on it very well. I have yet to use it in a jam session situation.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never dealt with Morley. I bought the effect at the music store. The effect did not have a manual to it. It has held on very well for fifteen years since I've had it in my posession.

Overall Rating : 10
I've stated this before in the other submissions on the other effects that I have. I play all kinds of music.

Ease of Use : 7
This unit has a can that lays sideways inside the box on the front of the unit, and it has oil and some magnetic contacts that spin inside the drum and produce a sound. There is a motor that spins the rotor in the can and is adjustable to vary the amount of vibrato effect by a spring attached to the pulley. The fact that it is largely mechanical means that upkeep and tinkering may be required to get it to work well. The Power Wah part works fine, easy to operate. So I'll give it a 6.5 for ease of use.

Sound Quality : 8
I usually use loud Marshall tube amps but have tried this interesting item out on a Montgomery Ward Airline tube amp with 2 6v6s and a very loud alnico 10" speaker. The wah sounds absolutely killer as does the power or volume pedal. The wah and volume pedal are switched by a switch located on the right. The vibrato or rotating sound effect is pretty radical but is a fairly good fast speed leslie simulator. It is noisy when activated and not being used makes a clicking sound but when guitar is played through it it sounds very interesting. Very watery. I had my Fender Lead III guitar plugged into it, with Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a classic in the neck and a pearly gates in the bridge. I especially like the wah sweep which is greater in range than the average crybaby. Would be and excellent lead wah a la Kirk Hammet.

Reliability : 8
This mechanical item is not reliable enough to take out of the studio. They are too rare to find a backup. Nevertheless if it weren't for the motorized can inside I would take it anywhere and expect the power wah part of it to work flawlessly from now till the end of time....

Never have delt with Morley, maybe I should call 'em to see if they can relay any advice on upkeep on the moving parts.

Overall Rating : 10
I play all styles of music and like hearing various sounds. This pedal is more than a one-trick pony and although if I lost it I would file the memory of what it does in my head and move on, it is definitely worth the money to hear a different-sounding pedal that has probably long passed its stage of obselescence.
