this flanger sounds very warm compared to any digital equivalent.
my only gripe would be that it makes this annoying popping sound when you turn it on and off.

like I said this is a sold pedal for the price. I sent this pedal in for repair but they said that the popping is just how they designed it. CRAPPY!!!

Three nobs, single swith, led shows rate of sweep. Extremely easy to find the sound you're looking for.

Little to no noise, especially compared to a Danelectro unit I've tried. Very nice, very smooth sweep with no popping or crackling. Exactly what I was looking for in a flanger.

It's made of some pretty good steel plate, the jacks feel solid and the swith reminds me of a Crybaby's switch, extremely solid. I don't gig so I can't vouch for road durability, but paint and knobs have held up well when I chuck em in the trunk and head to jam.

Never dealt with em, don't think I'll need to.

I've been playing about five years, mostly classic rock and blues, and I can say it suits me very well. It comes close to that sort of pink floyd, fluid sweep. If it were stolen, I'd bash the crook on the head with my Crybaby and keep on playing. It's been awesome for the price I paid for it, since I was considering a far inferior Danelectro pedal for three times the price! In my opinion, it would be worth the new price. I'll definitely have to buy more Morley effects in the future, if they're all this good.

Three knobs, one switch: it takes less than a minute to get a good sound.
Cool led shows you the speed.

Setup: Dean European Custom Korina V or Ibanez RG 550 LTD with Emg 81 into Boss Tu-2, morley flanger, morley wah/volume, Peavey 5150, marshall 4x12 with vintage 30's.
The sound is very good, never had an analog flanger before, only a digital Ibanez, from the new series, but this one is far superior.
It is not too strong for my taste, and the knobs are quite responsive.
I'm very happy with it

Its thick metal housing will surely last, and I would gig without backup, because it is too fucking expensive to buy backup gear!

I use it for death/grind, and I like it very much, I'm not sure wether it is a good effect for metal, but I like it, so that doesn't matter.
As I said it is far better than the Ibanez, it's also stronger than a boss, and it's very quiet, I like that, because I don't intend to use noisegates and stuff.

I use Fender Strats with Texas Special pickups. It's very quiet. One of the quietest flangers I've tried. The swirling is a thick analogue jet plane to Raygun sound. You can even get it to sound similar to a univibe at times. I have it hooked up to my Fender Stage amp with a DS-1. It has a great reaction with the DS-1 distortion pedal. It"s not too hard or too soft, just right.

I bought it used so it's in good shape. Though at time the switch makes a pop sound. That's probably easy to fix anyway. Yes I would use it without a backup. It's very ruggedly constructed. PUTTING A BATTERY IN IT ISN'T EASY. THEY SHOULD REDESIGN THAT ASPECT.

It's just a cool effect that has great sound quality, great looks, and ruggedly constructed. The only BAD THING about it is the BATTERY INPUT IS S**TTY. YOU HAVE TO USE AN ADAPTOR. BATTERIES DON'T FIT WELL IN ITS SLOT.

Three knobs: Speed, Travel, and one for Regeneration. Just play with the knobs until you find a cool setting. The manual is pretty informative and has some suggested settings. However, the pedal is so easy to use, you really don't need it. The LED blinks in step with the sweep.

This pedal sounds really nice and has a wide range of tones. It has that nice analogue flanger tone that I was looking for. The ADA flanger was too expensive. The MXR Reissue sounded too STRONG, no matter how I set the knobs. The Electric Mistress reissue sounded too weak. Digital flangers sound to brash and metallic. This flanger sounds very natural and has a wide range of tones. The sweep speeds range from that slow DOKKEN FLANGE sound up to a space gun. The regeneration knob can give you either a slight swirl or make a Concord jet pass by.

It's made of all metal. The jacks are nice and firm. The paint job doesn't scratch too easily. The footswitch is a nice metal heavy-duty one. This pedal should last a pretty long time. I would gig without a backup. It doesn't seem to eat too many batteries.

I rated this pedal before and bombed it because the one I tried in the store would make strange sounds when the sweep was low. Maybe the one I was auditioning had a bad battery. I didn't think of changing it in the store at the time. I went back to the store a year and half later, and the one they had this time sounded absolutely terrific! I tried it side-by-side with the Electric Mistress reissue, MXR Reissue, and the ADA reissue and the Morley sounded the best. Yet, it was cheaper than those brands! I also have a Morley Bad Horsie Wah and I'm pretty happy with that pedal, too! Morley seems to make good stuff. After speaking with that friendly customer support person, I feel even more confident in buying even more Morley pedals.
That blinking LED looks pretty cool when the sweep is low and helps you time the sweep for that "jet plane" effect.
This is a great sounding pedal and I would definitly replace it if it were lost or stolen. The flanger I bought the last time was a DOD 747, which is a digital flanger. I'm pretty happy with this petal, too, but I find that digital flangers produce different kinds of tones from the analogue ones. I use both flangers in my effects chain. When I want to sound "traditional" and mellow, I kick in the Morley. When I feel like getting crazy and zany with a digital sound, I kick in the DOD. DOD makes good pedals, too.
If you are looking for a flanger, definitely check out Morley's! I even makes some good chorus sounds, as well. It's a great pedal!

Sounded okay, but would produce a "confusing" sound when the sweep was on the low side, especially when set to a low speed. Turning down the regeneration knob helped a bit, but then I lost the sound I really wanted.

After playing with it in the store for an hour and a half, I decided to buy a flanger from a different company. This one seemed nice, but it didn't have the particular sound I was looking for. If it did't sound buggy when the sweep was low, I'd have bought it. It does have a nice analogue sound.

There are three knobs: speed, travel and regen. One needs to read the instruction manual to fully grasp what each knob does. Even then you have to play around with the unit to see what kind of sounds you can get. It's very easy to get a good sound.

The only other flanger I've played with is the DOD FX75B (?).... the DOD pedal seems to be a lot "noisier" than this Morley pedal. I don't know what it was, but every so often the DOD would "glitch" and produce some not-so-cool sounds. The Morley doesn't do this AND it doesn't mess with the signal path after the effect is turned off. ..true bypass I guess...:) Everything from "subtle flange" to "space alien laser gun"...
