This is from the 80's Morley. Before the auto ON feature. So it's somewhat of a drag to hit the ON/OFF switch. There is a WAH knob and on the distortion side, Dist and Tone knobs.

Sound Quality : 3
I never liked this all that much. I sold it on eBay about a year or so ago. The wah was never all that pronounced. And the distortion was horrible. I could never figure out exactly what the WAH knob did. It changed something but I couldn't fathom it. I left it about 2 o'clock mostly.

Reliability : 3
The pedal lost it's grip eventually and would fall toe down when my foot wasn't on it, so I couldn't cock it. And could never get it tightened! Ugh!

The 80's Slimline's were just an overall bad idea. They are just crap. I have a Bad Horsie 2 now and that is so much better. Buddy of mine uses a chrome 70's Morley wah and it is killer also. Just stay away from those 80's Morley wah's.

Excellent cranking sound, half ride for an extremely nasty lead tone.

I have been using morley pedals for 20 years. I have been playing hard
rock and heavy blues for that entire time. The morley SLDW is totaly kick ass as far as this type of music is concerned. I can't play mellow music...whenever I plug in mellow is the farthest thing from my
mind...The SLDW has always done the trick!

Easy to use. One main toggle switch. Has 2 footswitches (distortion and wah). 2 knobs for distortion (distortion and tone). 1 knob for wah. With main switch off no sound from the amp. Uses two 9volt batteries or 12 - 18 volt dc adapter. Has 2 easily seen red lights.

Sound Quality : 4
With both footswitches "on" the pedal gives a huge boost of volume and an audible hiss. Distortion is a bit weak and tinny. Increasing the distortion and or the tone increases the hiss and distortion does not change much but the tone gets higher. With only the wah there is just a bit of hiss. Using only the wah function is not like a crybaby. The volume also increases when the pedal goes towards the toe-down position. I use a vintage El-Degas neck through-hard body with 2 humbucker with tap switches, vintage tube amp (AGS 300), Crate GX-20M and Yamaha Thirty 112. I don't try to imitate anyone.

Reliability : 10
Well, the model I have is surely very old (serial number 000112) and has seen tons of use by the fact that the rubber stoppers are almost cut in half by the edge of the pedal and the nuts have to be tightened because the pedal flops to the toe down position. It is probably a collectors item. I have had it only a few weeks.

I play anything except noisy no-music where people with no pants on, throw themselves on top of a bunch of people with no shirts who are grimacing and drooling. If you can't hum or sing it.....I don't play it. This pedal is not good for distortion. However, it is a good wah pedal. Since the volume increases at the same time....the wah is quite dramatic when the wah knob is adjusted "full on". Since the pedal has 1 good function and 1 bad function, I give it a 5. It's for sale.
