Easy to use only 2 knobs and 2 switches. Vintage Looking thing, anyone can figure out really. Its like getting an older microwave and comparing it with your newer microwave, pretty simple in all respects.

Very good sound quality, the kinda sound that cuts through the mix, very sterile sounding but yet it does what its supposed to, this thing also sounds like a tremelo to me but im not too familier with phasor, since I mainly collect distortion pedals. This thing sounds like its been dipped in alcohol where as other pedals sound like they've been dipped in soda.

If its lasted this long then its pretty reliable, only thing is that the cord didnt last so its been replaced with another end.

I play mellow type rock basically, Interpol, Radiohead, Beatles etc. Im looking forward to playing with it more, Ive already used it on songs where I normally use delay and it sounds nice and punchy. Ive been playing 11 years and Ive tried all kinds of pedals and this pedal helps to better the term "Vintage sounds better". Its a little big too and a bit heavy but the sound it makes fits with its older style and make.

i love this pedal. so full and rich. with distortion it's awesome.
i use it with a boogie amp.my fave rate is like 4 and under. it doesnt quite get the underwater vibe that a small stone will, but for the crazy thick ass sweeping-i've yet to hear anything that will stand up to this baby.

if you can find it buy it.i'd replace it. you see 'em occasionally on ebay, even though almost nobody's even heard of it! i mean there are a whopping 4 reviews of this pedal on here before me. this pedal really deserves a much more wordy review. anybody who's actually reading this, please forgive me. i've got a lot of pedals to review, but just so you know, this one is among my favorites.

Two knobs, one a three way depth switch for light heavy or medium phase, pretty simple!

I use a strat, a hamer, a kramer and a G&L bass, sounds good through all, fairly noisy but this phaser sounds best at high speeds unlike others which suck the tone, I don't know how to describe It!very fine
phasor, good for almost any type of sound! much better than a boss super phaser which sadly attempts to capture this type of tone in mode
1 but fails miserably! I can achieve pink floydish tones, though I could care less because what the hell is the fun of trying to get someone elses tone! finding your own tone now that is what I'm about!

I don't know if I can depend on It! It's older than I am! It's lasted this long! we'll just have to wait and see! It's built sturdier than
Electro Harmonix but that isn't realy saying much! I would use it without backup! there should be no such thing as an effect that dies and stops a show! no one should depend on something that much!
as for a back up! I'd be lucky to find one for the price I paid
considering It came with the box and is in excellent condition!

I've been playing ten years and this is my favorite phasor! I own a bunch of stompboxes! if it were stolen I'd be pissed, but I wouldn't hunt down another, I'd try something new. the sound of this phasor
with a wah is funky, I don't wish it had anything because It's ment to be simple.

All most totally clean, if used on bass gives that 70's disco funk groove type sound. Guitar and vocals creates a watery tone, lots of variety to depth (H M L), and a speed knob.

Well--if you're looking for that watery phase sound, stick to your boss super phasers. This bastard crunches out a grainy, dirty phase. I'm putting it through a 57 silvertone (note to all you stratheads and paulheads your guitars will never come close to the sound of plywood and real surplus lipstick tubes) and a charvel surfcaster--both of these have relatively lo-gain pickups, so with this setup, it sounds best through distortion. With humbuckers, maybe another story. But the final word here is if you want an ultraslick phase, pick an mxr script or, better yet, a univox phase. Also great for solos. Almost sounds like 1/4 flange at some frequencies; the harmonics this filter emphasizes are just about perfect in that they sound very musical and at the same time, very rough. Not too subtle (boss superphaser) or too polished (mxr, especially script). Range of sweep has been very well, and it seems very carefully chosen.

Yes, it's great, talked to Musitronics the other day. Watch for this on unsolved mysteries.

This phase is absolutely beautiful. For doing sheer crunch sweeps, it can't be beat. The sheer graininess and roughness of it's sound are mucho kewl. Note: this does NOT sound like a bi-phase or mutron II. At all. So don't buy it for that. Don't buy it if you want a classic swirly clean phased sound. Personally, I love the sound--for walls of crushing detuned guitar, this thing lends more motion than a slicker phaser would. Buy it if you're honestly looking for something that fucks up your guitar sound, in the best hendrix sense of the word.

The Mutron Phasor is very easy to use. Its controls include an effect on/off switch, an intensity pot, and a 3-way depth pot.

For a vintage pedal, it is very clean. All instrumeents (guitar, bass Chapman stick) sound great through this pedal. In a studio situation, drums and vocals would sound great too.

It is quite dependable. With few switches and moving parts, & solid metal casing, this was built to take abuse. I rely on myy Mutron at all my gigs.

This is a vintage effect. No one knows anything.. However, another company is reissuing Mutron effects, so perhaps they might be helpful.

Vintage analog effects have a timbre that digital technoloyg can approximate, but not duplicate. Definitely worth buying if you can find it.
