In all the 17 years I have been playing guitar I have never, ever plugged in a pedal with as many options as this pedal has and been able to get a killer tone from anywhere I place the controls. I was blown away by this little demon. The pedal comes in a velvet pouch inside a box, when you first look at it you almost do a double take at how small it is. There is no manual, and it doesn't need one.

I'm playing the Minotaur through a Fender Deville 4x10 with a Hagstrom Viking semi hollowbody. The pedal is not noisy and actually enhances my already dialed in tone, very cool. There is a Toggle Switch that gives you the option of Silicon-Germanium-and bypass clipping modes. Im able to get three amazing completely different tones with this pedal which makes it hard to pick a favorite setting. Without the use of the Ger or Sil mode this thing sounds amazing. I've been able to get a tone I've been after for a long long time. Nothing has made me happier than this pedal this past year. I mean come on, with all the freakin pedals out there it's hard to land a great one.

It's built top notch and Brian is a very cool dude who I'm positive would take care of any problems. It has a one year warranty. Right now I do have a couple other killer overdrive pedals but at the moment this is my main od and I carry others for different flavors and backups.

I have had the pleasure of emailing back and forth with Brian from Myth FX and he is very cool. This to me is very important, something we don't get from the "big guys" who should give their customers the same kind of attention but don't. I won't deal with anyone who can't respond or keep in contact with the buyer.

I play classic rock style music, very psychedelic folk rock. The pedal does wonders with our music. I've been playing for about 17 years, also play Vintage FX, FH(fx), Farndurk, Lovepedal, Psionic Audio, Cool Pedals, Janglebox, Ovaltone Effects, Boss... There is nothing I found that I don't like about the Minotaur pedal I am very happy with it. My favorite feature is easily the ability to have 3 tones on tap and the size of the box. I wish I had the new Myth FX Midas Clean Boost. Like I've said in other reviews, I won't take the time to review a box unless it's very special to me or unless I am very unhappy with one. This is a perfect stompboxin my opinion.

Pretty straightforward to use. There are a lot of options with two gain
knobs, a clipping switch and a master volume. I haven't tried all of the possibilities using both gain controls, and I also haven't played with the bypass clipping mode. The pedal requires a 9V power adapter and does not run on batteries. I just plug it into my power brick, set the master volume, adjust the gain to get the crunch I want, and that's about it.

Great sound quality! I play mostly classic rock and use this with a
stock Peavey cLASSIC 30 amp and two guitars...a California Strat, and a Godin Xt(dual humbuckers). It sounds great with both guitars and is
very quiet as long as I don't crank all of the knobs to the absolute
max. It is the most dynamic distortion pedal I have played and responds well to my picking intensity. The distortion level is very controllable using the volume pots on my guitars. I also like the clipping mode options and I seem to go back and forth depending on the guitar. I like the silicon on the Godin and the germanium on the strat the best. I haven't played with the no clipping option which would make the pedal more of a booster.

I haven't had any issues with the pedal. It feels solid and I expect it
to last without problems. I would gig it without a backup.

I haven't had to contact the company except to order the pedal so I
can't really comment on this.

I like this pedal a lot. It gives me a wide range of tones and it takes
up hardly any space on my pedalboard. I would give it a 10 except for
the fact that it doesn't have the option to run on batteries, probably
due to the small size. Not a huge deal for me since I have a power
brick, but it might be an issue for some people. I still have a lot of
exploring to do with this pedal...so many features for such a tiny
little pedal!
