This is the Brown Sound In A Box clone with a Zvex Super Hard On cloned booster added after the OD -- both in a van halen inspired paint job covered pedal. The BSIAB souds just like the name, an overdriven Marshall with a variac. Folks Ed's tone is in there. Think Panama, Hot for Teacher, Unchained, Eruption. Also the SHO clean boost clone adds just a hair of sparkle to the signal - a perfect solo boost. Each of the FX are independent of one another with individual on/off stomp switches. You can use the boost as a clean boost to drive your preamp, or like I do and kick it on with the BSIAB going too and use it for a solo boost. 4 knobs Dirt Tone and Level for the BSIAB and a boost knob for the SHO.

I got this pedal to give me the Marshall grit and I use it in front of my 70's Fender Bandmaster. Best of both worlds here. Fender clean, Marshall Dirt. Works well with all of my guitars. Sometimes when using single coils, I will use the boost as a pickup output boost so that my Les Pauls and PRS's don't overwhelm my Teles and Strats. The sound is pure 70's/80's marshall

All of Sandy's pedals are roadworthy. He only uses quality components that won't quit on ya. The paint job on this thing has over 10 coats (see below)

Here is the spot where Sandy blows others away. I shot him an email saying that I wanted the BSIAB clone made for me with a special paint job. The pedal is metallic gold (think plexi folks) with black and white Eddie Van Halen Stripes (think EVH MXR stuff) and a hot chick on the reverse (an outlaw supply standard) He even got me the Marshall amp knobs for it. It sounds better than it looks too and that is saying something. Also it was Sandy's idea to add a boost clone in there as well - a separate effect. Sandy knew I had clones of LPB-1, MXR micro amp, and the rangemaster already as he built me BYOC's triboost kit, known as Outlaw Supply's Texeas Heat. So, he found a friend that cloned Zvex's Super Hard On. I didn't have one of those. I do now. Sandy kept me up to date with the progress by sending pics and emails to let me know what's going on. I wish the ratings could go higher here. Sandy is the best.

For playing 70's 80's metal/hard rock there isn't anything better out there for me. The boost feature really sets it off, I wonder why no one else thinks of this stuff -- super versatile. In 19 years of playing I have had lots of toys. Currently owning 13 electrics 2 acoustics 2 basses and an assload of amps keeps me pretty happy until I am looking for a tone that I can't get. Don't get me wrong, NOTHING sounds like a Marshall but a Marshall. Pedals can't replace tubes but this comes REAL close. Add in the versatility of the boost and the fact that you can use it with Fender and you get sonic nirvana. The Zvex super hard on pedal goes for over 250. This guy was a hundred bucks less and includes the BSIAB too(sorry Zac) and like ZVex has a custom paint job and is all hand wired.
