I'm using a 1982 Les Paul custom with Burst bucker puck ups, custom Strat,Gibson Explorer (among others)thru a Planet waves tuner FoxxRoxx Octron,Fulltone Clyde Deluxe,Fulltone Full drive II, Fulltone Choral Flange(n the flange setting)Fulltone Deja Vibe,MXR Phase 100,Pearl Chorus and a Pearl Delay(old school!),,and a MXR Kerry King 10 band EQ into a Marshall blues breaker.
This pedal gets probably more use than most of those, other than the Fulltone Deja Vibe,I like a more transparent effect setting so I tend to leave them on a lot ,creating my own sound so to speak,The Pearl Chorus can be set to be Leslie sounding or a "Police" type transparency.

I bought this thing new in like 1984/1985? Used it to some degree, then it got shoved into a box for YEARS .I started to put together a pedal board a few months ago and remembered I had this and the Pearl Delay unit.Cleaned them off, plugged them in and they're like they where brand new. When I started to do some research on them ,not much info found except for on here. Then when I saw the scarcity of them even on ebay I realized I had some true "vintage" analogue pedals!!!
Ive done a handful of gigs with no problem,if I did I can switch the Fulltone Choral/Flange OR the Deja Vibe over to their Chorus settings,But as much as I love the Fulltone products, or a sentimental value of the Pearl,I prefer it.
But if it broke,I would be scouring ebay for another,

I've been playing for 30 years .playing rock, blues and metal.
I'm a gear junkie of the typical sort.20 odd guitar 4 different amps, you know the deal.
I really didn't think a pedal made by a well known drum manufacture 25 years after the fact would still be relevant but since its analogue it has a great all around sound.
When I bought it NEW eons ago ,I was pretty naive, clueless about gear compared to the curmudgeon veteran I an now,so they must have been"entry level priced(cheap)
How was I to know it would become a valuable part of my sound?
I just bought a Pearl DS06 Overdrive Distortion pedal from the bay today to keep it and the delay company,Can't wait to test drive it.
So if you see these anywhere grab them up,there a lost treasure.
Why they where discontinued is beyond me.
I'm just glad I never get rid of any gear I obtain, you never know when it come in use!

Pretty simple, plug in yr guitar and plug it in to your amp.... I have found it fairly easy to get various sounds out of it..I went back and forth between a Boss Flanger and this pedal, ended up keeping this one, though I wouldn't mind getting the Flanger back. It does have a wide range of sounds....

I use it with a Strat, Boss DS-2 distortion, and a Marshall Valvestate 80 amp, or a Marshall stack. It does have some hum, so it is slightly noisy. I can't get the *exact* sound I want out of it, but I have never replaced it either in the 9 years I've had it. My favorite artists are Nirvana, the Beatles, and Zep. I am able to get a good Nirvana like sound with this pedal on the appropriate songs.

If this were stolen, it'd be too hard too track down another one, I'd probably switch back to a Boss BF-2 Flanger....

Very easy to use, simple knob layout. Nothing new here. The best tones (to my ears) are the subtle ones with this pedal, because it can get quite drastic.

I personally think this thing sounds great. I had the Pearl Flanger years ago and sold it, and regret it. I think these pedals sound fantastic! The Chorus can go from just a hint of detune to all out dizziness. That may not be my forte, but if I ever wanted that sound, it will do it!

Aluminum case, with metal footswitch. I don't think I'll be having problems with it.

Found it used at a pawn shop. From my previous experience with the Pearl Flanger, I knew I had to pick it up, and especially at that price! It's a great addition to my rig - I was looking for a chorus pedal to run in the loop, and this thing delivers! Thanks, Pawn America!

The pedal is very easy to use. There is a tone control; depth control; speed control; and mix balance. I've been able to dial in any chorus sound I've wanted.

The sound quality is excellent. I've been playing into a Budda Twinmaster head on a Marshall 4X12 cabinet. The guitars I've used have varied from a very thin Telecaster; a Stratocaster; a Les Paul with Seymour Duncan humbuckers; and an Ibanez Bob Weir. In each case, I could dial in exactly as much chorus as I wanted.

This thing has a metal casing and a cast aluminum switch. It will last longer than I will.

Never had to use them. They are not making pedals anymore anyway.

I've been playing for about twenty-five years. This is one of the best chorus pedals that I have ever played through. I currently use a Fulltone Choral-flange pedal - it is the only chorus that has ever sounded better to me.

This thing is cool, the knobs are easy to dial in. My only complaint is that the speed knob is a bit touchy.

I run any one of my 9 guitars thru this. It sounds cool thru Mustangs, Les Paul's, strat's, my 7 string, my electric 12 string, and my Electric Acoustic's. I run from the guitar into my metal zone, then into a chorus ensemble, then into the pearl chorus, then into a digital reverb/delay, then into a fender M80 rackmount amp/ peavey 100 watt transtube head, then into 2 Dual Showman 4/12 cabs.... wow... what a sound. I go out stereo from the chorus ensemble... i have one line going into the pearl chorus, and the other one going into the transtube head. what a sound.... good sounding chorus.

i reguarly gig without a backup for the pearl chorus, but with two choruse's in your setup, who needs a backup, right? no problems with the damn thing yet...

never dealt with them... and probably won't considering how long they haven't been making pedals.

i play anything from the pumpkins to my own stuff... been doing it for 6 years now... i love to find old pedals that sound cool. this is one of them. not much else to say..... it's a good damn chorus pedal... won't get you the "holy grail" of chorus, but then again.... all players have different guitar religions...
