Ease of Use : 10
Graphic EQs are very simple to operate--especially compared to parametric EQs, so of course this is a very easy pedal to use. I bought it used, and I didn't get a manual with it. The serial number is 028122, and it was made in Japan. It looks pretty old--it was probably made in the late 80's or early 90's.

Sound Quality : 10
My setup: fender roadhouse strat to my pedal board, which includes (in this order): boss SD-1, small stone phaser, Pearl GE-09, boss CE-5, boss DD-5, boss PH-2, and finally the boss PSM-5. The amp I'm using is a line6 flextone, which I can really get a wide variety of sounds from.

The pedal can be noisey, if you push the higher frequencies up... but what eq pedal is that not the case with? It isn't any more or less noisey than any other graphic eq pedal I've tried.

Okay, ready for the best part of this pedal? Most eq pedals are 7 band... the boss eq is 8 band, I believe. This pedal is NINE band. Meaning, 9 different EQ sliders. And the more sliders you have, the greater flexibiltiy you have in shaping your overall tone. PLUS, it has a level control.

Reliability : 7
This pedal doesn't exactly look like it's BOSS quality, but it doesn't look as cheap as an Ibanez Soundtank, either. It's somewhere in between... probably as strong as a DOD. The actual footswitch is pretty small--about the width of a quarter, and about the length of a half dollar. Another nice thing about it is that you can power it with an adapter--the same kind of adapter that BOSS pedals use. And since most of my pedals are BOSS, that works out just great for me.
I did buy this pedal used (today, in fact), so I can't be too sure yet as to how reliable it is. But so far, no problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Here's the weird part. The pedal is made by Pearl--and until now, I thought that Pearl just made drums. But I guess they've broadened their horizons. : ) I've never dealt with the company, so I wouldn't know if they're good with customer support or not, but since this pedal is so old, I wouldn't imagine that they could be much help with anything.

Overall Rating : 10
Seems like a great EQ pedal. A cheap alternative to the boss ge-7, and since it's a 9 band eq with level control, it's even more flexible than the boss eq. The only drawback is that it doesn't look like the most durable pedal in the world--but that's okay, I'm not too rough with 'em.
