This pedal is extremely easy to use. Plug n Play at it's very best. Two knobs that control SPEED and DEPTH
Mono In going to Stereo Out
One output is set for your Lows the other bumps up the highs

I'm using this with my guitar set-up because the sound was so rich and sweet it put my BOSS Chorus to shame. It was a little more subtle on the clean setting but it definently works well with distortions: VERY ZAKK WYLDE/RANDY RHODES-ish
You can get an authentic Leslie Tone with this pedal that will rival some of the boutique SH*T that you find on ebay. You just have to put it in combination with a couple other pedals.
I was able to get the LESLIE sound by coming out of OUTPUT B into a Morley ABY Box and sent the stereo output of the Morley into the stereo input of a BOSS DD-6. If you are running two amps at the same time, the chorus tone pans between the two amps and creates that swirl and pumping action that Leslies are famous for. Really KickA$$!!
I use the B Output Only because the sound is better. Output A is emphasizes the treble and is real shrill, not good for guitar (Definently better for Bass) So I don't use it at all.

There are no pops or snaps when you step on the pedal. You get a weird low 'wimper' type oscillating sound for a second or so but it doesn't last long and really isn't anything to worry about. I just wanted to inform y'all of that.

Very cool little gem. If you see one of these in the pawn shop, get it. You will be surprised.

To get a great sound out of this thing is easy as stomping your foot (no kidding!) Every setting sounds great on this thing, it's just a matter of how subtle or intense the effect is, but everything sounds great. Just turn the rate and depth knobs until it sounds great, which took me about five seconds to find the sound I wanted. Haven't touched it since!
The manual is great, quick, simple and informative.

The Peavey BAC-2 is bone quiet, even while switching on and off. Using this with a 1978 Fender Precision and a brand new Yamaha BB404F into a Gallien Kruger 400RB-III stack, the effect sounded great. Added even more body to my thick sounding P-bass, and added tons of wonderful "mwah" to my fretless Yamaha. The effect is subtle, but really adds a lot to the tone.
With an inexpensive fretless, a Peavey Bi-Amp Bass Chorus pedal and an amp set with the EQ flat, a Jaco sound is easily obtained, especially with roundwounds.

So far so good. It was NOS (New Old Stock) but apparently was tried out once in the store a few years ago. There was a leaky battery in the compartment that was dated to expire in 1998 and held up against that perfectly fine. The battery compartment is actually rubberized and pads the battery as well as preventing leaks, so I guess that's not a huge problem. The switch seems solid and the pedal in general is built like a tank. I would definately use this without a backup.

I haven't contacted Peavey about this pedal yet, but their website is surely very helpful. I've bought four obsolete, used Peavey products in the past couple of months, and manuals have been available for all, their customer service is top notch and they respond quickly to emails, are friendly and knowledgable.

I play every style of music and a chorus pedal never hurts. This one in particular adds a little more depth to my vintage Fender, adds mwah to my fretless Yamaha and as far as I'm concerned this is the BEST pedal for adding body to a bass. Particularly in jazz and rock.
I've been playing for four years and this is one of my favorite pedals I've ever come across. In conjunction with GK amps, passive Fenders and Yamahas, this is a match made in heaven. I would replace it in a heartbeat if I could ever find one.
Only thing I would change is adding a variable crossover like as on the Peavey Mark series heads. Also, the dome shaped knob looks cheesy, but apparently works for its intended function, these things are built like tanks.

How much easier can you get? On/off switch, rate and depth, basic chorus stuff folks. It has two outputs, a low pass/full range (when used alone) and a high pass. When bi-amped (or using two cords) the hi's are what get the effect.
Crossover point is at 350 Hz
LFO rate: .2 to 10 Hz
Delay time: 5-16 mS.
It was Copyrighted in 1987, so date of mfg is from then on to ?? Picked it up off Ebay.

I've used it at home with my Peavey TL-5 bass and Acoustic 370 amp. It seems very quiet. The amp hisses slightly, with no noticeable change when using the pedal, so I'd say it's very quiet. The instructions say that the most desireable results are achieved with either a low speed/high depth or high speed/low depth setting. Both high is just plain wierd, so is high speed/low depth. With depth maxed out and rate at 0, the effect is almost unnoticeable. I turn up the speed slightly and get a good chorus effect. Sounds great full range or with two cords (even running both to the same amp - my Acoustic has two inputs). I haven't tried other chorus effect units, but this one sounds fine to me. Therefore, it gets an 8 since I've nothing else to compare it to.

This thing feels solid, typical Peavey indestructable construction. It has a metal case and a rubber cover over the switch, completely enclosing it from the elements. Rubber base keeps it from moving around. For ultimate reliability, use a power supply, otherwise this thing is built to last.

Peavey sent me some parts for my bass, they are great folks to deal with. The lady who took my parts order (dang, can't remember her name, she was very nice) even chatted on the phone with me for a while about how long she was there (17 years), what they did, how their operations ran, etc. Great conversation, If I'm ever near Meridian I'll try stopping by.

The only thing it's missing is a variable crossover point, but it seems to work well where it's set. I'm sure they did their homework on that.
