Just use the patch sheet. Dial up and play! i use it strictly for VOCALS! It is GREAT on the lead vocal!
Try it! Especially 170-189!

Sound Quality : 8
i use this product live mainly. Just too noisy in the studio for my money.
The combination of effects is what is SO great about this unit.

Reliability : 10
Not only have I depended on it for about 8 years now, but I actually hooked up the WRONG adapter one night 12v instead of 16v and it worked for the first set just fine. 90 min. set at that! I then noticed how ddim the led got. I checked it and, NO output. It ruine3d the adapter but the unit was FINE!!! I just hooked the right one to it, (long story) and finished the gig no prob!

This unit has no alphanumeric display, just numbers, so you have to play and find the sound. The sounds are grouped. (I use a computer patchpal program). Editing seems fine, but it's hard to know exactly what you going after sometimes. Manual is available free from peavey via web. It is midi friendly for only patch number changes, no sysex.

I would not use it for vocals. I'm using it for my Bass in combo with a Tube Preamp and it sounds just fine. Reverbs are old but work for bass. It's a 16 bit unit, similar to Midiverb III but slightly warmer. Can be inexpensive used so it's a reasonable piece to get. Might be interesting to use on a older keyboard/sound module to spice it up. This ain't no quadraverb folks but then it can be gotten for about $100 which is reasonable for a rack unit.

No problems so far. Display kinda dims for a nanosecond when you change patches but that hasn't effected any usability and it returns to normal brightness quickly.

Never needed them. Nice to find the manual on the web.

Nothing fancy but it works and cost just a little more than a effects pedal.
